We went to Social Security office. We got flu shots at Dr. Starks. Rev. Carol called about having daytime Bible Study.

We dug and froze carrots. Robert Congdon called in evening to say Beula was in Newark hospital. She fell. No bones broken but her heart bad. I called Social security office.

Called Vern’s. Washed clothes. Evelyn called. Talked with Jolie and Jim. Got letter about Redwood Bank interested in branch at Philadelphia. Hope so.

Back to standard time. We left for Vern’s at 9:30. Stopped at city for eye drops. Vern took us to Newark Hospital to see Beulah C. She was pretty good. June and Bea went to Steve’s for Kristin’s Halloween party. We spent night at Vern and June’s. Snowing in evening.

We got up to 2-3 inches of snow on ground and snowing hard. Many schools delayed opening. We got home about 10:45. Snow about the same all the way. Everything white and beautiful. Jim, Sue, and Ashley here in PM. Indian River School took a snow day.

We went to vote in AM. Went after groceries. Got a letter from Beulah M. Sunny day. Temperature was down to 15° early this morning.

Snow still on ground. Some sun early. Pauline Roggie called from Thayers.

UMW at Margaret’s. Marion and I on committee. Jell-O, crackers, and cheese, 11 out. Bill stayed with Merrill. I went with Vi. Wrote June and Vern. Snow all melted.

We went for a few groceries in PM. Rainy, dark day. My arthritis hurting bad.

Washed clothes. Turned colder. Merrill cleaned floors. He took garbage.

Communion, 80 out. All Saints Day. Merrill and I honored. Received a beautiful plaque and poem by Nancy Huntress. A decorated cake and punch served after church. Our family all there except Dan and Joel. They came bringing lunch. Jan Coburn with Jill. Howard and Evelyn here in PM.

My mammogram report was fine. Tired today after the exciting day yesterday. Sure was a big surprise to us. Great.

Sent Rev. Carol thank you note. Called Antwerp clerk, Marge Sands about farm taxes.

Donna, permanent, 6 PM. I went to Rebekah’s, 12 out. Had raffle drawing. Gary Belile over in PM awhile. A beautiful day. Talked with Jolie. Her cold be better. Shawn on way home from Florida. Marge Sands called. Taxes due $4609.70 [farm]

Redwood bank meeting 7:30, fire barn. We went. A huge crown out. Barn full. Looks like we will get a bank again at Philadelphia. Hope so. No mail today.

We went for groceries in AM. Got Thanksgiving turkey for 39¢ a pound. Half price. Marge Sands called. June’s FHMA loan erased Oct. 14th taxes, $4689.70.

Cloudy, rainy day. Washed clothes. Lyla here in PM. Larry and Amy expecting in June. Howard, Evelyn, Dawn and Jeff here in evening.

I washed the dark clothes. Called several about food for Graves. Vern called. Merrill has a cold.

Administrative council, 11 out. Elected officers. Passed budget, $28,416. Sina here with books. Dawn called from Canada in evening. Took food to Betty Rudes for Graves.

Stuart Jackson, 2 PM. Vern met us at his office. He advised us not to foreclose on farm. Raining all day.

We went for groceries in AM. Sunny day. Nice. Talked with Dawn, Evelyn, and Antwerp Supervisor, Elizabeth Case.

Made cinnamon rolls for bazaar. Baked squash. Debby stopped in. She’s doing okay. Quentin Rudes brought back dishes from Graves funeral. Elmer called in evening. Beulah not good. Still in hospital. Talked with Sandy Fagan.

Bazaar. Merrill took my stuff over. Washed clothes. I didn’t get over to bazaar. They made over $800.00.

My birthday, 76, We went to church, 47 out. Went to city in PM. Went to turkey supper and service at Evans Mills church. Great. Ken, Esther, Jolie, Jim, Sue, Ashley, and Shawn called in evening.

Debby Hanson’s 34th birthday. Windy and sunny. Made apple pie. Got birthday card from Bea Gehm.

We went to store. Merrill cleaned floors. Jim took Sue to Rochester hospital for tests.

Got stuff ready for dinner tomorrow. Got birthday cards from Patty and Beulah M. Got letter from Beulah.

Vern, June, Bea, Jim, Sue, Ashley, Jolie, Shawn Michael, Joel, here for dinner. Great day together. Jill went to Jan’s. June and Vern gave me Christmas plates, cups, and napkins for my birthday. Nice day but cold.

Church charge conference at Mills. We didn’t go. Snowing hard most of day. Sent order for 2 slacks, 2 blouses and skirt to Blairs. $76.80 plus postage. Chomsun and Sammy here in evening. Brought cakes.

Got down Christmas decorations and set up tree. Merrill went over town but barber not in. My arthritis bad today.

UMW covered dish, 6 PM at Chase Harringrton manor with Diane. 13 members, 4 guests. Merrill stayed with Bill Mowers. We went for groceries in AM. Lyla stopped by. Brought me bottle of cinnamon, $3.49. Glenn Coon fell and is in hospital.

Warmer. Snow all melted. We went to city shopping. I got black shoes and grey-pink sweater. Gave Sue birthday card at store. New Court Street Bridge opened today. We drove across it. It’s great. Can see up and down river. Took 6 months to build.

Sue’s birthday. I washed clothes. Lame and tired today. Too much shopping yesterday. Rained all day.

Linda B left for two weeks at Bennington. Army work. Sent checks to pay bills. My arthritis bad. Still my arms and shoulders. Got note, first Christmas card, and anniversary card from Beulah M.

Rebekah’s Christmas meeting at John Hoover Inn, 13 members and 1 guest. I went with Zelda. Vi didn’t go. Still sick. We went to Seaway shopping. Rev. Dick Graves called. Invited us to supper at Baptist Church Friday. Sent Roy and Carol birthday card. Put canned goods in mailbox. Sent first Christmas card to Beulah.

Roy’s 91st birthday. We took him poinsettia plant. Arlene there. Went to see Aunt Maude. Went to hospital to see Jill. She had to have more tests because of blood on kidney. She was ready to go home. Patty there. We went to Seniors supper at Baptist church. Rev. Dick gave us gift. They sang happy anniversary to us.
