Bible Study, 7:30. Ordered peas and corn from Agway. Washed clothes.

We went for groceries in morning. Visiting hours for Marie 2-4, 7-9. We went for evening hours. Spent night at Vern and June’s. Our car quit at Salmon Run Mall. D & S came after it. We went to Mexico with Jim for visiting hours.

Vern brought us back to D & S after funeral. Our car was ready, $117.70. We went to Deer River Cemetery. Marie’s funeral at Mexico at 10 AM. Burial 2 PM Felts Mills. She was buried on Dick Boyce’s family plot. A nice cemetery.

Sunday School begins. We went to church, 55 out. There was a bad accident on Route 11. One killed, several in hospital.

Warmer. Merrill mowed lawns. He went to Saw Barn for new chain, $7.00. Israel and Palestine signed peace agreement in Washington, DC. We watched it on TV. Marvin Matt Mattingly, 73 died today at home. Wrote June R.

Rev. Carol at Conference at Lake George for 3 days. Hot 81°. Windy. Merrill put wood down cellar. I painted blinds. Got call from June Ridsdale. She will call back later.

Cloudy and raining. Jerry Delles brought load of gravel for driveway, $68.70, ten ton gravel. Kyle Hanson here to spend day. He’s not feeling good. Debby back in college. We went to funeral home for Matt in evening. Place was full.

UMW at Harrington Manor, 10 out. I went with Vi. Bill came up and stayed with Merrill. We went for groceries in AM.

I made 3 dozen cinnamon rolls for church farmer’s market. Also, two loaves of banana bread for here. Merrill worked at wood.

Cloudy, rainy day. Merrill went with garbage. I washed clothes. Sent Vern birthday card, note, and $10.

Gave $49.00 to benevolence. Dedication Sunday, covered dish after church, 2 PM. Nice service and dinner. District Superintendent Gear, Rev. Catherine Salisbury, and Rev. Wallace (Carthage) attended. Vern called about farm FMHA giving it up.

We went to city, bank and drug store. Saw Aunt Maude and Roy. Took Roy white puddle dog, and Aunt Maude mints. Vern called in PM. He had talked with lawyer Stewart Jackson about farm. I paid $64 into Benevolent account. ($49 & 15 check overdraft.)

Vern’s 57th birthday. Merrill put more wood down cellar. I froze tomatoes. Dr. Kayani’s office changed my appointment to Friday this week.

Rebekah’s. 11 out. Nice day. Sunny. Merrill finished putting wood down cellar, 15 cord. Merrill called Robbins about bathtub leak. Merrill insulated water meter in crawl space.

Raining. Baked a ham. Made 2 dozen cinnamon rolls for church table at farmer’s market.

Dr. Kayani, 3:30 PM. Eye pressure 14 and 16, no change. Saw Claire Ponzi there. Nice day. Merrill mowed some of lawn. We went for groceries in AM.

Sent Leah birthday card. Bad Army truck accident at Antwerp range, 21 hurt. Fort Drum soldiers killed and wounded in Somalia. Washed clothes. Merrill mowed on lawns.

Jan Liscomb preaches. Very good. 33 out. Raining. Jim called. He’s busy cutting winter’s wood.

Raining off and on all day. Rained hard in evening. Jim, Sue, and Ashley here in evening.

Picked up Agway peas and corn. Merrill went for vegetables @ $19.98 each box. Robbins man fixed kitchen sink, bathtub, and cleaned furnace. Put new traps on tub and sink.

I called Reader’s Digest. We are all paid up until December ‘94. We went for groceries.

We went to city to drug store and bank. Nice day but cold wind. Merrill got hair cut.

Communion, 38 out. Sunny, windy, and cool. CROP walk in city.

Dark rainy day. Sent Bea Gehm birthday card and note. Another Fort Drum soldier killed in Somalia, 2nd one.

Froze beets from garden. Sunny day. Jolie called in PM. Robbins man cleaned church furnaces. He used Merrill’s keys.

Merrill put on storm windows. A nice day. Warm.

UMW, Doris Haggerty’s. I went with Joyce. Merrill stayed with Bill Mowers. Nice meeting. Merrill mowed side lawn.

I made cinnamon rolls for church farmer’s market. We cleaned dining room. Shampooed living and dining room rugs. A just beautiful day, 72°. Merrill helped Clark on tool shed and Joey with wood.

Blessing of the animals at church, 10 AM. Raining. We got dining room and living room settled. Brought in plants off porches. Washed clothes. Merrill took rolls to sale.

We went to church, 51 out. A great sunny day, but cold. Down to 30° in morning. Ken and Esther here in PM. Brought potatoes and cabbage.

Dr. Sherman, 3 PM. All okay. We ate supper at Longway’s. Lyla’s 66th birthday. I called her. I talked with Jolie, Shawn Michael, Jim, and Ashley.

Rainy day. Pauline Roggie called in evening. She was at Thayers.

Rebekah’s, I went with Ginny. Cleaned upstairs. Sent back HEAP questionnaire.

Bible Study. June Ridsdale called. We went for groceries in AM. Jim, Sue, Ashley, Jolie, and Shawn Michael here for 2 PM dinner and PM. Jim and Sue on Vacation this week. Jim cleaned chimney from roof. Got note and county letter from Vern.

Church supper. We didn’t go to it. I made cinnamon rolls for farmer’s market tomorrow. Watched Nashville Now’s last broadcast on TV with Ralph Emory.

Sent Aunt Maude birthday card. Also Roy. Merrill went to dump. I washed clothes a beautiful day, 70°.

Church envelope. We went to church, 52 out. Called Vern and June. Got flowers from new florist. We spent PM with Howard and Evelyn. Dawn and boy friend Jeff there also. Good to see them.

Terrible wind during night. Blew a lot of our leaves away. Trustee meeting at 7:30.

Aunt Maude’s 88th birthday. Merrill raked more leaves. Cloudy day. Nominating committee meeting at church.

Dr. Stark 1 PM. Took blood for blood work. Blood pressure 140/80. Weight 152. Merrill got new iron leaf rake at Agway, $12.83.

Very windy. Raining most of day. Jill’s name in Times again. JCC has won all six soccer games they have played. Bev Samson here electioneering for her brother, Vincent Lafave for Supervisor. World Series score, Philadelphia Phillies 2 games, Toronto Blue Jays 3 games.

Mammogram 11 AM. Took 2 hours as we had to wait. Philadelphia Imaging. Nice there. We went for groceries in PM. Sent Steve birthday card, letter, and $10.00. Jim’s picture in Times. They arrested 31 abortion protesters at Dr. Croch (?) office. Jim is acting captain this week.

Family night at church. We didn’t go. Washed clothes. Merrill helped Cha’s with leaves. Gladys and Ted here in PM. A great day.

Very windy all day. We went to church, 55 there. Merrill’s watch stopped yesterday. Needs battery. Robert, Cheryl, and Breanne Yerdon (?) here in evening.

Beautiful day. We went out to Don and Juanita’s. Had lunch there. Men couldn’t get chain saws going so didn’t cut wood. Merrill got new watch battery at Pharmhouse, 74¢. Don not very good. Seems very weak.

Brenda called to say Debby went to Gouverneur hospital during the night. We went over to see her in PM. She passed kidney stone. Feeling pretty good today. I called Brenda. Juanita may go up and spend the night with kids. Rev. Carol called. No more farmer’s markets this year.

Rebekah’s Installation, 2 PM. Redwood installed us. 29 there. Had ice cream, cookies, pumpkin cake, and candy.
