We went for groceries in morning. Visiting hours for Marie 2-4, 7-9. We went for evening hours. Spent night at Vern and June’s. Our car quit at Salmon Run Mall. D & S came after it. We went to Mexico with Jim for visiting hours.

Vern brought us back to D & S after funeral. Our car was ready, $117.70. We went to Deer River Cemetery. Marie’s funeral at Mexico at 10 AM. Burial 2 PM Felts Mills. She was buried on Dick Boyce’s family plot. A nice cemetery.

Warmer. Merrill mowed lawns. He went to Saw Barn for new chain, $7.00. Israel and Palestine signed peace agreement in Washington, DC. We watched it on TV. Marvin Matt Mattingly, 73 died today at home. Wrote June R.

Cloudy and raining. Jerry Delles brought load of gravel for driveway, $68.70, ten ton gravel. Kyle Hanson here to spend day. He’s not feeling good. Debby back in college. We went to funeral home for Matt in evening. Place was full.

Gave $49.00 to benevolence. Dedication Sunday, covered dish after church, 2 PM. Nice service and dinner. District Superintendent Gear, Rev. Catherine Salisbury, and Rev. Wallace (Carthage) attended. Vern called about farm FMHA giving it up.

We went to city, bank and drug store. Saw Aunt Maude and Roy. Took Roy white puddle dog, and Aunt Maude mints. Vern called in PM. He had talked with lawyer Stewart Jackson about farm. I paid $64 into Benevolent account. ($49 & 15 check overdraft.)

Mammogram 11 AM. Took 2 hours as we had to wait. Philadelphia Imaging. Nice there. We went for groceries in PM. Sent Steve birthday card, letter, and $10.00. Jim’s picture in Times. They arrested 31 abortion protesters at Dr. Croch (?) office. Jim is acting captain this week.

Brenda called to say Debby went to Gouverneur hospital during the night. We went over to see her in PM. She passed kidney stone. Feeling pretty good today. I called Brenda. Juanita may go up and spend the night with kids. Rev. Carol called. No more farmer’s markets this year.
