School today. Girls here. Windy and cool. Merrill went to Antwerp for water faucet. Susie and Al Hughes have baby girl, Alysia Renee. Debbie here in evening. She’s looking for work. James Strader died, 73 years, His funeral tomorrow.

Gary Belile goes to doctor at Carthage. We put plants on front porch. Washed clothes. Paid bills. Got letter from Beulah.

Robin’s birthday. UMW at Lindsey Myers, 8 present. I went with Marion. We went for groceries in AM. We went to Pharmhouse in PM for drugs. Got plants on Route 342 @ $4.99. Wrote Beulah M.

Washed clothes. Got food ready for tomorrow. Got our new permanent address for 911. 32821 Belile Road.

Elgin and Carmi here. Got here about 10 AM. We went to Brownville and Philadelphia to antique stores. They left about 4:30. Rained about all day.

Susie and Al in church with 5 day old girl. Church picnic. Communion, 40 out. 10 here. Rained hard until PM. Picnic ended up here with us, Lynches, Boscheck’s, Alice and Betsy. We took plants to cemetery.

Jim, Sue, Ashley and Lyla Ashley here for supper.

Merrill went to Saw Barn for belt for lawn mower, $10.57. He mowed on lawns. Set out tomato plants. I wrote Vern’s. Merrill planted garden. I washed table cothes. etc. Virginia New died.

Merrill finished mowing lawns. I froze asparagus. Riding lawn mower quit. Rebekah’s, 14 of us went out to eat at John Hoover’s Inn at Evans Mills for lunch, $3.99.

Merrill took lawn mower apart. Howard and Evelyn stopped by. Also Jolie and Shawn Lawler on bike. Washed dark clothes.

Went for groceries in morning. Gave new address to post office, 32821 Belile Road. Made chocolate chip cookies. Merrill worked on lawn mower. Melba Tryon, 61, died at 1:15.

Bill Mowers went to hospital during night. Merrill took garbage. Charlene called. Melba died yesterday of cancer. Called Elmer, Gladys, Jim’s, and Vern’s. I washed clothes. Like summer.

We didn’t go to church, 52. Went to Vern and June’s. We went to funeral home in PM. Got to see lots of folks. Beulah not there. She’s ill. Jim came on bike. Great weather.

We went to Melba’s funeral. Vern took us. June teaching. All went well. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Pultneyville. We went to Charlotte and Frank McGregors after funeral. Vern and June had church meeting in evening. Weather just beautiful.

We came home today. Got here about 10 AM. Rained all the way and thunder storm at noon. Jolie called. Bill Mowers got home from hospital.

Merrill got hair cut. He mowed lawns. Power off for 2 1/2 hours in evening, 7-9:30.

Today would have been Mom’s 101st birthday. Merrill’s appointment, Dr. Sherman, 2 PM. All okay. We went to see Roy and Aunt Maude. They hooked us up to water meter. Got Jolie and Larry’s wedding invitation.

Washed some white clothes. Merrill finished mowing lawn. I made apple and rhubarb pies. Got Jill’s graduation announcement. She’s having a graduation party with Jan Coburn at Coburn Home after graduation Sunday.

We went to church, 52 out. Megan Wescott baptized. Doug and Amanda honored. We went to Legion Bar-B-Q at noon. Raining. Jim and Sue here in evening.

Jim and Sue go to Syracuse. Trustees meeting. Merrill went, 6 out. I got white laced shoes from Carol Wright Gift [catalog].

Heather and Gilenda’s last day here. They are out of school starting today for summer. We went to Carthage for lawn mower spring. I got red skirt in mail from Carol Wright Gifts. Darcy and Brent got home next door.

Rebekah’s, 10 out. Last meeting until fall. Merrill went to Saw Barn. He mowed on lawn and worked in garden. Sent June birthday card, note, and $10.00.

Got groceries. We took lawn mower motor to Saw Barn. Shopped at Ames and McCrowleys. Linda, Darcy, and Brent were over in PM. Ate lunch at McDonalds. Sue B brought us a nice fruit basket. Vern called in evening. Hot in the 80’s.

Indian River Graduation. Held outside, 171 graduates. Airplane flew over it with banner. Very hot, 88°. Got down fans for first. Merrill finished lawns. Washed my clothes. Vern’s and Bea go to Dan’s in West Virginia. Got graduation invitation from Luke Tousant for Sunday.

Rainy and cooler. Merrill took garbage. I washed clothes. Baked cake and brownies. Merrill repaired Cha’s lawn mower.

Jill’s graduation. Patty and Mike there. We went with Jim and Sue. Went to party for Jill and Jan at Coburns. All great. We went to church 50 out. Darcy and Brent went with us.

Thunder storms during early morning. Power off 2 hours. Darcy and Brent went home to Florida on train.

Sandy Creek Fair starts today. Merrill went to Saw Barn for lawn mower motor. He put it back together. I started cleaning bathroom. Washed walls and ceiling.

Dr. Stark 1 PM. Dr. Kayani, 10:30 AM. Everything okay. Saw Dr. Parcinski. Weight 152 and blood pressure 128/82. Elmer Gleason here with papers to sign.

We went for groceries in AM. Merrill got lawn mower going but doesn’t run fast enough to mow. Linda helped mow side lawn. I wrote Beulah M. and Luke Tousant.

Merrill mowed rest of lawns with push mower. Pauline R called. Merrill put up new house number 32821.

Vi called in morning. Bill back in hospital. Went by ambulance during night. I washed clothes. Cloudy. Roasted turkey from freezer.

Church 9 PM. Communion. We went, 28 out. A great day. Bob Boscheck on way home. [from Somalia]

Hot 90°. A great day. Debbie stopped by. She helped Merrill on store room window. Here for lunch. Bill Mowers got home from hospital. Bob Boscheck got home from Somalia.

Administrative Council, 7 PM, 7 out. In the 90’s. Debbie was here this morning. No work for her on school. Rained hard in evening. Thunder and lightening some.

Very hot and humid. In the 90’s. Still terrible floods by the Mississippi River. Many homeless.

Strawberry Festival at Mills, 5 PM. We didn’t go to it. Too hot. Still hot and humid. In the 90’s. Merrill went berrying to Beilings. He picked 20 lb in 1 hour. @ 65¢. Talked with Jolie. Wedding postponed.

Merrill went to Carthage for mower spring. Mowed side lawn. Very hot in the 90’s. I made raisin pie for church booth. We went for groceries in AM. Stopped at Mowers with receipt blanks. Lyla here in PM. Quaker Days start.

Farmer’s Market opened. Merrill finished mowing. Jolie’s 22nd birthday. Talked with her. Also June and Vern. Jim called in evening. Merrill took my 2 pies to Quaker Day booth. We didn’t go over. Washed.

We went to church, 26 out. We went over town in PM. Saw parade. Lots of folks but mostly strangers. Church made $340.00 on pie sale, 2 days.

Mississippi floods getting worse. Seven states flooded. Rained during night. We needed it. Cooler today but nice and sunny. Merrill worked in garden in PM.

We started painting bathroom. Painted the white part. Got thank you card from Jill. cooler today. Nice to work and sleep.

Finished painting bathroom. Much cooler in evening. A few showers.

Got stuff back in bathroom. Looks so clean. Talked with Jolie. My arthritis hurting today. It has been good lately.

We went for groceries in morning. Got my hair trimmed and set at Donna’s, $10.00. Merrill mowed lawns. Paul Kiechle, 73 died this AM. Margaret called in PM. Called Vi about food for funeral. Larry Beach stopped for DWI and no driver’s license.

Jolie and Larry’s wedding 12:00, postponed. Washed clothes. Merrill finished lawn. Linda Belile left for 2 weeks reserve down state.

Haggerty reunion at City Park. 45 there. Great day and time. Beulah came this year. Drove up. We went to church. Kristen Tooley preached. Very good.
