Emily going out to sea. Not too much damage. We went to city. Merrill got work shoes and 2 pair of work pants. Got insulation for water meter. Merrill mowed part of lawn.

Cloudy and rainy. Washed clothes. Rained hard in evening. We went for groceries in PM.

To Vern and June’s. Dan, Robin, Steve, Kathy, Kristen, Bea, Merrill, and I there. A just great day together. Vern took us to hospital to see Marie. She was much worse. Off all life supports.

Church back at 11:15, Communion. 43 out. Marion and Diane went with us. Teresa Van Epps called at 4:30 to say that Marie had died. I called June and Vern, Jim and Sue in mountains.

Jim, Sue, Ashley, Jolie, and Shawn Michael here for dinner. Kids are so cute. Vern called. Marie’s’ funeral is Friday and Saturday at Mexico. Was in Syracuse paper. Sue here for church money.

PPR meeting, 7 PM, 6 out. I went with Nancy. Got two express checks from June Ridsdale. One for $60. One for $70. Rebekah’s, 2 PM, 6 out. We talked with Gladys and Ted. Nice article in Times on Jim’s Explorers.

Bible Study, 7:30. Ordered peas and corn from Agway. Washed clothes.

We went for groceries in morning. Visiting hours for Marie 2-4, 7-9. We went for evening hours. Spent night at Vern and June’s. Our car quit at Salmon Run Mall. D & S came after it. We went to Mexico with Jim for visiting hours.

Vern brought us back to D & S after funeral. Our car was ready, $117.70. We went to Deer River Cemetery. Marie’s funeral at Mexico at 10 AM. Burial 2 PM Felts Mills. She was buried on Dick Boyce’s family plot. A nice cemetery.

Sunday School begins. We went to church, 55 out. There was a bad accident on Route 11. One killed, several in hospital.

Warmer. Merrill mowed lawns. He went to Saw Barn for new chain, $7.00. Israel and Palestine signed peace agreement in Washington, DC. We watched it on TV. Marvin Matt Mattingly, 73 died today at home. Wrote June R.

Rev. Carol at Conference at Lake George for 3 days. Hot 81°. Windy. Merrill put wood down cellar. I painted blinds. Got call from June Ridsdale. She will call back later.

Cloudy and raining. Jerry Delles brought load of gravel for driveway, $68.70, ten ton gravel. Kyle Hanson here to spend day. He’s not feeling good. Debby back in college. We went to funeral home for Matt in evening. Place was full.

I made 3 dozen cinnamon rolls for church farmer’s market. Also, two loaves of banana bread for here. Merrill worked at wood.

Gave $49.00 to benevolence. Dedication Sunday, covered dish after church, 2 PM. Nice service and dinner. District Superintendent Gear, Rev. Catherine Salisbury, and Rev. Wallace (Carthage) attended. Vern called about farm FMHA giving it up.

We went to city, bank and drug store. Saw Aunt Maude and Roy. Took Roy white puddle dog, and Aunt Maude mints. Vern called in PM. He had talked with lawyer Stewart Jackson about farm. I paid $64 into Benevolent account. ($49 & 15 check overdraft.)
