Ground Hog day, sunny. Merrill went to Sunday School 36, and church 75. Communion. Took offering for Stuart and Lori. I didn’t go to church. Steve, Kathy and Kristen came for dinner. She is so cute. Brought us her picture. We called Vernon.

Cold and sunny again. Merrill went to trustee meeting in evening. I’ve been sore and lame today.

I made apple pies, 2 dozen rolls, and vegetable soup on ham bone. Snowy. Plow over several times.

Rev. Carol here for benevolent check for Stuart and Lori. Church collected $300.00. Sent for 4 pair slacks to Blair. Merrill blew snow out of driveway. Sunny but cold.

-5° below zero this morning. Sunny. We went for groceries in AM. I went to UMW at Chase Manner in PM. Week of Prayer and Self Denial program. 10 out. Candy Watson had baby boy. Jim called from new police station. Jim’s office 786-2724 or 5.

Wrote June and Vern. June has 4th chemo today. Dawn K called from bank about benevolent fund checks. Bank to give church 50 free smaller checks.

Snowing. Merrill took trash and garbage. I washed clothes. Merrill helped at church on new kitchen in PM.

Cold, -5°. Sunny. We went to Sunday School 31, and church 56. We went to Pharmhouse for drugs. Called Jill in PM.

-10 below zero. Water pipes froze this morning for first this winter.

Warmer. Snowing. Windy. Jim called in evening. Joel and Jill have colds. 2 1/2 feet of snow in Diamond. [Sue’s place]

Rebekah Exchange. 11 out. Valentine sweet refreshments. -10 below this morning. Sent Joel birthday card, note, and money. Sunny and cold all day. June R sent us $15.00. Jolie called in evening.

Joel’s 16th birthday. We went for groceries in AM. Warmer. Sunny. Wrote Edna Cross at hospital. She had leg off. Gilenda not here today.

Roast beef dinner at church. I furnished two pies, banana cream. We went. Very nice supper. Jim called in evening. He and kids coming Sunday.

Washed clothes. Jolie moved back to her apartment. Jim called in evening.

Merrill went to church. I didn’t go. Jim, Joel, Jill, Jolie, Shawn Sr. and Shawn Jr. here for dinner. Left about 5:30. Baby Shawn is so cute. Weighs over 13 pounds. Had birthday cake for Joel and Jill.

I’m sore and lame today. Much warmer out.

Wrote Jill. Sent kids each $5.00. Merrill went to bank. Good to have it warmer.

Jill’s 17th birthday. Sent Dan card, letter, and money. Warm. In the 50’s.

Vern called in evening. They are coming tomorrow. Got a $5.00 money order from June R. Makes $20 in all.

Vern had appointment with Dr. Scanlon. Vern, June, and Bea Gehm here for supper. June doing good, but gets very tired. Don Gehm not good at all but won’t let them remove his leg. We went for groceries in morning.

Merrill went to dump. I washed clothes. Merrill helped Elmer put on sheet rock at church in PM.

Dan’s 25th birthday. We went to Sunday School 35, and church 61. Nice day. My legs very sore and lame. Can hardly walk.

Men’s meeting at church, 7:00 PM. First one started by Mike Lynch as leader. Six out to it. My legs very sore all day. Can hardly walk.

Cloudy day. I kept heating pad on my legs most of day.

Dr. Siegel, 11:45 AM. Had pap test. Put me back on Macracidine (?) for kidney infection. Rebekah’s, but I didn’t go.

Snowy. Very windy. Warm. Freddie Davis here buying antiques. Called Medicare office and Dr. Kayani office about prescriptions.

We went for groceries in AM. Cold wind. Some snow. Rev. Bea Clark, 70 and another woman, 67 burned to death in car crash by Carthage school with a bus. Talked with Jolie in evening. All okay.

Leap Year. Cold but sunny. Washed clothes. Merrill went over town for communion bread. Vivian Trice here collecting for Alice Bettry funeral.
