Got tax notice, $360.70 Assessed at $33,200. Went for groceries in AM. Debby and friend Shirley stopped by. Got invitation to party at Landaus. Merrill brought in our door decorations.

Party at Landaus. We didn’t go. I’ve coughed all day. We took down Christmas decorations. Got tax blank for Senior Citizens.

We went to Sunday School 41, and church 48. Cloudy day. Charlie Covell preached.

Ken’s 72nd birthday. School starts again. Gilenda here. We went to city. Merrill got new pants. I got night gown and 2 blouses and drugs. Tired tonight.

Esther called. She and Ken have been ill with flu since before Christmas. I’m tired today. Worked on church books. Benevolent report. Sent in report. UMW paid balance of $50 to pay benevolence in full. Alice and Margaret called. Vera Rosbrook very bad in hospital.

Rebekah’s. 10 out. Revealed Secret Pals. Gladys Adams had my name. Got basket towels and bath oil. Wrote Beulah. Nice day.

Sent in tax refund blank. Also one to Roy Petrie for tax 1/2 off. Wood stove smoking a lot. Chimney plugged again. Ed Bennett, 91 died today. We bought our farm from them.

We went to Sunday School 46, and church 69. Rev. Carol’s first Sunday back in New Year. Cold and cloudy.

Pat Brancatella stopped by. We had a good visit. Cloudy day. Gilenda fell in a water hole in driveway. Merrill took her to school. School delayed 1 hour because of ice. Both girls here.

Vera Rosbrook 75, died last night. Rainy and cloudy. Sue and girls here for supper. Bob here later. Girls here after school as Sue had allergy tests. Debby Hanson started at JCC. Stopped in on way home.

Sunny but very cold all day. Paid some bills by mail. Wrote Beulah. Made cake for Rosbrook’s.

We went to Vera Rosbrook’s 75 funeral. Large funeral. Took food to Bernard’s afterward. Very cold. -12° during night. We went for groceries in PM.

Cold and stormy all day. We made vegetable soup. Vivian T was over in PM. Jim called in evening. They are busy getting ready to move to new police station.

Beulah’s 80th birthday. A little warmer. Stormy south of city. Vern and June called. June had 3rd chemotherapy treatment today.

We went to Sunday School 43, and church 58. Communion. Very cold. Jim, Jolie, and baby came in PM. Jim cleaned out chimney with pipe and brush. Very stormy south of Watertown. We didn’t get the storm.

Administrative Council 7:00 PM. 9 out. Planned new year calendar. -10° overnight. Up to 27° during day.

Jim’s 24th anniversary on police force. He called. His last 3 days of police school. Cold again last night. Write Steve and Kathy. Went to Rebekah’s. 12 out.

We went for groceries. Merrill went to Robbins for 6 inch stove pipes, $24.00. Rained hard all day. Windy.

Merrill put smaller, 6 inch pipe on wood stove. Very windy and snowy all day. Lots of accidents.

Paid taxes, $360.70. Merrill took garbage. -15° this morning and cold all day. Sunny. June Ridsdale called.

We went to Sunday School 33, and church 45. Snowy and cold. We went to city in PM. Got drugs. Got chair plastic at woolworth’s @$2.98. Ate supper at Ponderosa.
