Church back at 11:15. We went to Sunday School and church 59. DS Geers there for Charge Meeting after church. Called Vern and June. Kerr Carpenters have baby girl. Karen Lynch new Sunday School Supernatant. Blue Jays are back to feeder.

Washed clothes. Another great day, 88°. Humidity high all day and all night. Two men here selling siding in evening.

Cloudy and hot. Thunder storm in morning at school bus time. Raining and windy at bedtime. I froze applesauce from our trees.

Down to 40° over night. We went for groceries in AM. Trustee meeting, 7 PM. Merrill called Doris. Primary day. We didn’t vote.

Heather and Gilenda both here this morning. Cold again last night. Nice today. Friday the 13th.

Limit on Medicaid visits and drug starts. We went to Sunday School 34, and church 47. Jim, Joel, and Jolie here for dinner. Jim had nice pictures of Viet Nam wall at park. Hot and humid in PM.

Foggy in morning. Hot and humid all day. 80°. Jim and Sue here for lunch. They took us to Diamond to see camp Sue is buying. We stopped at Arline Bates and Roy’s. Enjoyable day. Made applesauce.

Cooler today. Windy. Darcy and Brent here. Darcy going back to Florida by train tomorrow. Brent staying here. Merrill called about wood.

Merrill cut more of trees out back. Darcy left for Florida on train this morning. Rev. Carol called. Muriel Coon, 77 died yesterday. My arthritis bad. Aches bad. Gilenda not here this morning.

Raining. We went for groceries in AM. Went to funeral home for Muriel Coon in PM. Leah S went with us. My arthritis bad all day. Vern and June called in evening. Robin’s friend killed in car accident. She is home for funeral. Girls grandmother bad in Michigan.

Washed clothes. Made scalloped potatoes for Coons. Took food from UMW for after funeral. Baked beans and fruit cocktail cake for tomorrow.

Vern’s 55th birthday. Family party at Cindy and Ethan’s. 19 there. Cool but great day together. Karen couldn’t come but will October 10th. She came to a seminar in NY City. We stopped to see Beulah on way home. Killing frost over night but in 70’s today.

Cold over night but up to 75° in day. We went to Sunday School 37, and church 40. Michael Mc here in PM.

We froze beets, 10 packages. Carl Rundy and Tim here to get pipe threaded. Rained in morning. Gilenda not here this morning. Sue home.

Merrill went to bank. Got 10 cord of wood, @25. $250 from Joe Hoffman. Washed dark clothes. I made apple pies.

We went to city to drug store. Got new coffee maker, $15.99. Got gift for Kristen. Merrill worked at wood. Raining off and on all day.

My arthritis bad. We went for groceries in AM. Vernon called. They are coming Sunday. Steve’s also. Cold wind.

Washed clothes. Merrill hung them on line. Merrill went to dump and to store. We got 2 cord of wood from Joey, $60.00. Arlene Bates auction. Got food ready for tomorrow.

Merrill went to Sunday School 37, and church 57. I didn’t go. Vern, June, Steve, and Kathy and Kristen here for dinner. Kristen’s first visit here. She is so sweet. They left about 4:30 PM. Rained in morning. Sunny in evening. Jolie called in evening. She’s in her apartment, 1721 Burns Ave, Apt D, telephone 788-8824.

Down to 25° overnight. We moved plants in off porches.

Washed table clothes and blouses. Flipped bed spring and mattress. Merrill put wood down cellar. Raining with thunder storm.

Warmer today. We froze carrots. Bill Mowers had operation on bladder. All went well but he had a reaction to anesthesia.

UMW at Doris H. I went with Marion S. Only 6 out, but a nice meeting. Real warm today. We went for groceries. Saw Lyla and Leatha Hardy. Called Vi and Bill at the hospital. Bill better. Sent Bea card and letter. Sent Bill card.

Part for lawn mower came in. Merrill went to Mills for it and worked putting it on in PM. I slept all day. Feel terrible.

Bea Gehm’s birthday. I washed clothes. Very windy but sunny and warm, 80°. Work Bee at church. They put two electric heaters in fellowship room, painted nursery, etc. We didn’t help.

CROP walk. Rev. Carol walked. We went to Sunday School 37, and church 57. World Wide Communion. I’m so sore and tired today. Thunder, rain, and hail in the evening. Turned much colder.

Colder today. Merrill went up to Horton’s. Randy is taking our lawn mower to Saw Barn for us. Merrill and Gary couldn’t start it.

Administrative Council, 7 PM. We didn’t go. Called Jolie. She has first Lamaze Class tonight. Merrill put on storm windows. Helen Kiechle called. I made cup cakes for lodge supper. Jim, Sue, and granddaughter, Ashley, 5 months, here for supper. Jim took lawn mower to Mills. He cut rest of trees in back yard.

Rebekah’s installation, 23 there. Mary Diane, I’m chaplain again. Had salad, rolls, and cup cakes. Bill M had second operation. Vi called. He came through it fine. He has been there a week today.

Washed dark clothes. My cold still bad. Coughing up a lot of phlegm. Lancaster’s got Laura a car for her birthday.

No school, teacher’s conferences. I feel terrible. Coughed all night. Called Vi. Bill may get home tomorrow. We went for groceries in morning.

Bill got home from hospital. Foggy in morning. Gary took Merrill to Saw Barn for our lawn mower. Cost $29.96. Merrill mowed lawns. I washed clothes. My cold still bad. I’m so sore from coughing. Food sale, but I didn’t bake anything.

Merrill went to Sunday School 35, and church 52. I didn’t feel up to it. Coughed all night. I stopped taking Lodine as I may be allergic to it. Heather brought me the cutest flower witch her mother made for me. Yellow mums.

I feel terrible. Coughing up so much. Merrill called Bill. He’s doing good.

Rev. Carol called. Merrill finished putting wood down cellar. I’m not coughing as much but feel weak.

Feel a little better but still coughing. Merrill raked leaves. Merrill went to store.

Sent Aunt Maude a birthday card. Gilenda here this morning.

Another sunny day. Washed clothes. Still coughing up a lot. Doris H called. Gilenda here this morning. Steve has a new job. World Series (?)

Aunt Maude’s 86th birthday. Vern and June here for supper. They brought fish and salad, and cider. Also wood for kindling. Got nice letter from Robin and Dan. We went for groceries. June gave us nice pictures of Kristen and us.

We went to Sunday School 33, and church 52. Down to 25° over night. Lazy day. Sue called to give us salmon they caught. Series 2-0 Twins. I coughed all PM and evening.

I slept through the night with no coughing for first time in over 2 weeks. Washed dark clothes. Bob B gave us some smoked salmon the girls caught on Saturday.

A beautiful day. Washed slacks, skirts, and dresses. Talked with Patty.

Another great day. I went to lodge, 13 out. Last night meeting until spring. Merrill put new stove pipe on furnace, $29.00.

Another warm day, 71°. I feel terrible today. Tired and coughing. Beulah Dodge, 75 murdered in her home over night at Lorraine.

Steve’s birthday. June to have tests today. 70°. Great day. We went for groceries in AM. 40 police working on Dodge case.

Back to standard time. Called June and Vern and Jim. News not good with June. She has cancer size of a baseball near lungs. To have more test next Monday and Tuesday. Sue has signed papers for Lorraine Camp.

Ken and Esther’s 1st anniversary. We went to Sunday School 43, and church 63. We went out to Don’s in PM. Juanita at Olita and Jame’s 50th anniversary party. Rained all PM. Twins won series over Braves.
