Dr. Siegel 10:15 AM. Took blood test and tested urine. I have kidney infection. Gave me penicillin for 10 days. UMW at Vi’s. Thelma and I on refreshipments. Carl and Marilyn Hall in town. Bill M spent evening with Merrill.

We went to church 47. Honored graduates, Susie G. Dennis L, and Sarah J. Picnic after church on elementary school grounds. 35 present. Lots of fun. Got home at 3 PM. Jim, Jill, her boyfriend, Joel and friend Alex stopped on way home from Harrisville.

Mrs. Cameron, Olive and Grant Sharp here for lunch. Debby here on way to doctor. June Digmen here to see Mrs. Cameron. Vern and June called in evening. They moved Robin to Morgantown, West Virginia last weekend. They bought a house.

Conference and Memorial at Oswego. We went with Rosie, Alice, and Mrs. Cameron. Nice service. Vern ate lunch with us at Perkins Restaurant. Robin has a job in a nursery, 2 miles from their new home. We got home at 5 PM. Merrill got Father’s Day card from Patty.

Dr. Kayani, 1:30 PM to sign papers for laser treatment. Stopped to see Aunt Maude. Merrill picked 10 # strawberries at Farrs in morning at 65¢. Went for groceries. Merrill got Father’s Day card from June and Vern. Merrill mowed some lawn.

Father’s Day. Raining all day. Rev. Bernard Carpenter in charge of church service, 10-12 Evans Mills people present. 88 total present. A great program. Refreshments. Jim called in evening.

3.9 earthquake felt at dawn in places. We didn’t feel it here. We went out to Don’s. Talked with Brenda. Got fan on stand at K Marts, $21.95. Got table cloth for kitchen table. Jim and Sue here in evening. They found Mary Kavanaugh dead at her home in evening.

Jolie called. New boy friend, Jody James Colman. She is going to Illinois with him. Another nice day. Went for groceries. We went to see Leah in PM. Lyla here when we got home. Scott and Kristen Shaver getting married August 24. Graduation held outside for first time.

Merrill picked some berries for tomorrow before going to trash depot. I washed clothes. Made meat loaf, salad, biscuits. June Ridsdale called to ask if we would take $15,000 for mortgage.

Building committee meeting. We didn’t go. We went to funeral home at Croghan for Uncle Len with Roy and Margaret Kiechle. Made cup cakes to take tomorrow. Hot today. I called Nelda and George Peterson in Canada.

Jolie and Jody leave for Illinois. Jim and Jill took them for 4:47 flight. Uncle Len’s 97 funeral. Lyla went with us. Large funeral. We went to Pauline’s after. Hot and very windy.

Rained during night. Badly needed. We went to church, only 28 out. We went to drug store for pills. Went up to city park. Very nice what they have up to City Park. I touched a python snake. Merrill got new brown shoes, $21. Jim called from mall.

Administrative Council meeting 7:30. We went, 9 there. Washed Merrill’s work clothes. Got card from Boscheck girls from Florida. Sue here for church money. Merrill washed car.

We took car to city to see about radiator. Needs new one. Got picnic cooler basket and light stick for kitchen at Woolworth’s. Got eye drops and pills. I called for food for Berman funeral.

Ice cream social at Mills. Jolie’s 20th birthday. Merrill took car to Sonny Automotive for new radiator. Cost $203.30. We went to Mills Social. Rain drove us inside. Army band played. Good.

We took food for Berman funeral. Got groceries on way home. Locust are here. They are early this year. Doreen here awhile. She brought Merrill box of corn flakes from Mike from station.

Quaker Days started last night. Ends tomorrow. I took over 3 pies. Jim called. Jolie coming home Tuesday. She’s pregnant by Shawn. Sackets band took 4th place in Washington, DC. Only 80 members in band this year.

We went to church, 40 out. They made $275.50 on sale. We went to Bar-B-Q in PM, and parade. Jim, Joel, here but couldn’t find us at Quaker Days. Jim called from city. Beautiful day.

Got vitamin pill order. Dr. Sommer 12:30. He took impression. Has to send denture to Syracuse. Will be back in about 9 days. Michael was over. Merrill went over to McKeever’s. Garage coming along. Merrill ordered 15 cords of wood.

Vern and June got here about 5 PM. He had been to see Dr. Scanlon about his contacts. June brought delicious raspberry pie for supper. They brought 2 fans with them. A very humid hot day and night. Hit 85°.
