Administrative Council meeting 7:30. We went, 9 there. Washed Merrill’s work clothes. Got card from Boscheck girls from Florida. Sue here for church money. Merrill washed car.

I made chocolate chip cookies. A little cooler today. Nice to sleep.

We went for groceries. Merrill mowed lawns mostly weeds. I wrote Jolie and Juanita.

We didn’t do anything special to celebrate. It rained in afternoon. Some thunder and lightening. My arthritis hurting.

Cloudy and rainy all day. Rev. Carol here in PM.

Merrill went with trash. I washed clothes. Hot and muggy. Linda B away on 2 weeks reserves to Pennsylvania. Chomsun away on vacation.

Church at 9 AM. We went, 44 out. Timothy and Daniel Watson baptized. Beulah Berman, 82, and Jim Lawler 70 died today.

Thunder storm at 5 AM. Wrote Jolie. Sent her birthday card and note. Merrill took car to George’s to check radiator. Need new one. Some rain but cleared in evening.

We took car to city to see about radiator. Needs new one. Got picnic cooler basket and light stick for kitchen at Woolworth’s. Got eye drops and pills. I called for food for Berman funeral.

Ice cream social at Mills. Jolie’s 20th birthday. Merrill took car to Sonny Automotive for new radiator. Cost $203.30. We went to Mills Social. Rain drove us inside. Army band played. Good.

We took food for Berman funeral. Got groceries on way home. Locust are here. They are early this year. Doreen here awhile. She brought Merrill box of corn flakes from Mike from station.

Merrill mowed lawns. I washed clothes. Michael was over. I made pies for Quaker Days. Watertown police started a bike patrol. Use mountain bikes. Jim’s shift started it.

Quaker Days started last night. Ends tomorrow. I took over 3 pies. Jim called. Jolie coming home Tuesday. She’s pregnant by Shawn. Sackets band took 4th place in Washington, DC. Only 80 members in band this year.

We went to church, 40 out. They made $275.50 on sale. We went to Bar-B-Q in PM, and parade. Jim, Joel, here but couldn’t find us at Quaker Days. Jim called from city. Beautiful day.

Another great day. My hip sore today. Too much waking yesterday.

Got vitamin pill order. Dr. Sommer 12:30. He took impression. Has to send denture to Syracuse. Will be back in about 9 days. Michael was over. Merrill went over to McKeever’s. Garage coming along. Merrill ordered 15 cords of wood.

Rained some in evening. Got invitation to shower for Tina B. Windy, hot, and humid all day.

Another hot and humid day. Washed clothes. Vern called in morning. He and June coming tomorrow for supper and spend night.

Vern and June got here about 5 PM. He had been to see Dr. Scanlon about his contacts. June brought delicious raspberry pie for supper. They brought 2 fans with them. A very humid hot day and night. Hit 85°.

Vern’s left about 10 AM. I washed towels etc. Almost to 90° today. Merrill took garbage. I am very lame all day.

Haggerty reunion at Wescotts. About 30-35 there. Nice day. Vern and June came to it in PM. We went to church, 36 out. Carol’s father and a family friend there. A little cooler today. Rained some in places.

Very hot and muggy. Not much done today. Washed clothes.

Shower for Tina, 7 PM. I went with Mary. Very nice.

Cooler today. Air fresh again. Roger and Gloria Verbridge came about 10 AM. They took us to Greg’s at Gouverneur for supper. Nice. They spent night with us. I got my denture from Dr. Sommer, $108.00.

Senior Citizen Day at Fair. Roger and Gloria left about 9 AM. My arthritis very sore all day. Merrill finished mowing lawns. Mike was over. Rev. Carol called. Hot again today.

We went for groceries. Washed bed linens. Paid water bill $120.00, for 6 months.

I sent Mrs. Cameron birthday card. 80th. Cooler. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. My legs hurt. Last day of Watertown Fair. We didn’t get to it this year. Rev. Carol goes to Aldersgate.

I went to church, 21 out. Charlie Covell preached. Merrill was feeling dizzy and didn’t go. He took me over. Celebration of 145th soldiers at Mills at 1:30. We didn’t go to it.

Sent for pant suit, Lane Byrant. Sent note to Carol at Aldersgate. Lyla was here and spent evening. Hot day. In the 80’s

Wrote Beulah. We got letter from Carol at Aldersgate. McKeever’s house is coming along. Can see 2nd story from here. A bath and 3 bedrooms over garage. Hot 83°

A very few showers and lightening during night. Still hot. Sent Marion Quencer get well card. Talked with Helen Tooley.
