Belile’s got home from Florida. Vern, June, Dan, Robin, Bea, Jim, Sue, Jill, and Joel here for dinner with us. Jim’s car quit near Philadelphia. Vern picked them up. Vern’s gave us 5 foot Christmas tree and ham.

War deadline tonight at 12 PM. No change as yet. A prayerful day. I baked fruit cocktail cake, cinnamon rolls, plain rolls, and scalloped potatoes. Warmer in the 40’s.

Raining. Persian Gulf War-Operation Desert Storm started at 7 PM our time, 3 AM their time. Esther called twice. Ken had prostate gland operation at 1 PM. All going well. Sent Beulah C card and letter. Sent back tax form to Ray Petrie.

Jim joined police force January 22, 1968, 23 years ago. We went to Social Security office and drug store. Got letter from June. Don fell and broke his hip Sunday the 13th. Is in Oswego Hospital.

Jim starts his 24th year on force. Rebekah’s, 10 out. Snowy in evening. Meeting at parsonage with Olan Mills people at 6:30. Rosie, Marie, Lori, and I. They decided to do it. Merrill paid taxes, $403.93.
