Halloween. 28 kids here. Sunny day and nice evening for Halloween. Merrill went over town to library.

We went for groceries in AM. Sunny and warm, 71°. I sent two insurance claims to AARP. UMW at Margaret’s, 13 out. Cindy Watson and Marion Quinger there for first.

Another nice day. Sunny and warm. Washed clothes. Shooting at Lowville. Woman killed by boy friend. He shot himself in shoot out with police. He wounded a couple sisters of woman.

Another great dy. Steve, Kathy, and a teacher friend, Mike here for lunch on way to wedding at Crogan. I gave girls choppers.

We went to Sunday School 43, and church 67. Cloudy day. good service. All Saints service. I called Jim in morning.

Windy, Rainy off and on. Another shooting yesterday. woman in serious condition. Man shot himself. Shirley Fredricks, 39 and Kenneth Hughes, 56.

Election Day. Very windy. We voted in AM. Went to store and post office. Governor Cuomo elected 4th term.

Cold, sunny day. Boscheck girls here in morning. Wrote Vern and June. Sent Lori and Stuart and baby card and $5.00. Got notice Lynette Tryon had baby girl on August 28. Sent pictures.

Ground white with snow this morning. Merrill started furnace fire for first. UMW leaders meeting at church 1-3:30. 17 there. Nice meeting.

Sunny and cold. Wrote Dr. Scanlon for eye test report.

Raining, and snow in some places. Merrill went to dump. I washed clothes. Merrill bought 8 cords of wood from Joey @32. He brought 5 cords of them in PM.

Rain and snowy. Margaret went with us to Charge Conference, 7:00. About 25 there. We served cider and donuts. We went to Sunday School 51 and church 56. I called Jim. Vern called in PM. Merrill put wood down cellar. snowing in PM.

Sunny and cold. Joey, Marty, and Leon Delles brought rest of wood. Paid him $256. Merrill put more wood down cellar.

Down to 17° last night. Sunny day. Merrill went to bank and store. got stuff for service boxes for overseas. Administrative Council 7:30. Hollis and Lori Hanson have baby boy born at 3 AM. 5 pounds, 6 ounces. Joshua Robert.

Ken called. Holly and Lori have baby boy born yesterday. Boscheck girls here this morning. Sunny out. Very cold. Warmer i evening. Rebekah’s, 11 there.

We went for groceries in AM. Got 2 turkeys @ 49¢. A beautiful day. Boscheck girls here in PM. Teacher’s conferences.

Baked cake and cupcakes. Made pie crust. Boscheck girls here. Sue gave me $15. Steve and fellow worker here. They spent night in Potsdam. Vern hit a deer Tuesday and totaled his station wagon.

Merrill took pumpkin and cherry pie to pie sale. Washed clothes. They made $250 on pie sale.

Down to 20° last night. We went to Sunday School 46, and church 74. Kids Sunday School sang in church. thanksgiving supper in evening, 6 PM. Followed by service. All just great. 70 to dinner and 90 to evening service. Communion.

My 73rd birthday. Merrill got hair cut, $5.00. Got groceries at store also. I called Patty. Got stuff ready for tomorrow. got letter from Donnie in Saudi Arabia. Heather and Christy brought me birthday flowers and car.

Debby’s 31st birthday. Thanksgiving. Vern and June here for dinner. They gave me cuddle blanket and jar opener for my birthday. Gave Dad 2 bricks for his bird feeder. Jim called twice. He had to work. Ate dinner at Sue’s.

Cloudy, dark day. Froze left overs. I got several cards. Got notice our AARP insurance goes up to $74 for both.

Some snow this morning. Melted during day. I washed clothes. Merrill went to dump.

We went to Sunday School 42 and church 57. Hanging of the greens after but we didn’t stay. Vi said Sammy Cha is their paper boy now. Christmas parade at city today.

Nice today. sunny. Up to 40°. My eyes not so good today.

Boscheck girls here in morning. PPR meeting at Mills. I went with Rosie. 7 present. My last meeting as chairman. We went to city in morning to renew my driver’s license, $17.50. Got eye drops. I have served on PPR committee for 18 years. Off this coming year.

Paid Merrill’s doctor bill, $40. We went for groceries in AM. I sent evaluation report to District Superintendent McClune. Washed dark clothes. Got first Christmas card from Agway.

Washed clothes. I baked cookies and rolls for bazaar. Sunny day.

UMW Bazaar at church. I helped from 9 AM to 2 PM. Good crowd. Made $608.46. Drove car over. Got card and letters from Don and Juanita. Merrill cleaned oven and floors while I was gone.

We went to Sunday School 32, and church 72. Cousins Tamara Haggerty and Sarah Cooper baptized. Cloudy in AM. Sunny in PM.

Paid bills. Wrote Don and Juanita. Merrill went over town. Got bank calendar. Terrible storm in evening. 60 mile winds. did lots of damage. We had a lot of branches down. Snowed in PM.

Most of snow melted. Merrill repaired damage at parsonage. Blew out window and manger top. Merrill repaired them. Bill helped.

Boscheck girls here in morning. Cold but sunny, 20°. Wrote Donnie in Saudi Arabia. Made Christmas cookies. Gerald Scee’s ex wife, Beverly, 60 died today. They have three daughters, Judy Netto (?), Patty Brown (?), and Cindy Lackenaur (?).

UMW covered dish and Christmas party at Marion Smith’s at Manor, 6:30. Very nice. 11 present.

We put up decorations. Sent Rev. Carol birthday c card. Rev. Carol fell in front of village office and broke her right leg. She is in hospital until Monday. They will set it with pins and steel plate and put on a cast. I called District Superintendent and others to let them know.

Sent Roy C. card and birthday note. I washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. I frosted Christmas cookies.

Rev. Carol Berry’s 30th birthday. I talked with her in morning. We went to Sunday School 39, and church 66. Joyce in charge. Sermon was called “The unexpected”. Great.

Roy’s 88th birthday. Boscheck girls here in morning. I addressed Christmas cards. Rev. Carol Berry got home from hospital. Talked with Mrs. Natolin about Social Security.

Our 55th anniversary. Boscheck girls here in morning. down to 10° last night. Sent 14 Christmas cards. Helen and Margaret Kiechle both called. Got cards and notes from Beulah M, Marie Barker, and anniversary card from Doris and Art. Bob Boscheck got home from Long Island.

Rebekah’s covered dish dinner at 6:00. Nice dinner and time. 13 there. Merrill went to church to check for gas. Saw Carol.

We went for groceries. I stopped to see Carol. She’s doing okay. Rosie was there.

Take lunch to Carol. turkey soup and blueberry muffins. Boscheck left for Long Island. Bob’s mother real bad.

Pack Christmas baskets, 1:00. We helped deliver several. Jim called at supper time. Washed clothes. Snowing and slippery. Bob Boscheck’s mother died tonight.

We went to church 110. Sunday School program during church hour. Refreshments after. All just great. We called on Vera Rosbrook. Ecumenical church service, 7:00, at our church in evening. All churches in town. 190 there at service. Offering for Baptist Food Pantry, $140.00.
