I went to meeting on Church Membership at parsonage. I was the only one who showed up. Merrill mowed lawns. I called Vern’s. Foster Carey, 86 died today. shower for Lori Haggerty’s but I didn’t go.

Church back to 11:15. We went to Sunday School 54 and church 49. Communion. Very nice. New teachers, Lori Moffet and Shari Percell.

Cloudy all day.

Nice day. Sunny. Washed dark clothes. Merrill cleaned up some of garden. We repotted Boston Fern. It is about 56 years old.

Rebekah’s, 13 out. Got new lodge by l made by Marie Sixberrys daughter Vicky.

A beautiful day. In 80’s. Bob Boscheck called in evening to ask if the girls cold get on bus here the 20th and 21st.

We went for groceries in morning. Kathy Tryon called in evening to say we are going to be great grandparents. She and Steve are pregnant. got letter and copies of letters Vern has sent. He wrote to Senator Damatto.

Colder, raining and cloudy. Washed clothes.

We went to Sunday School 54 and church 66. 45° this morning but great the rest of day. Bill Heck died 10 years ago today. Marge had flowers on altar in his memory.

Wrote Vern’s and sent him copies of farm business. Merrill went to library for copies. Colder but sunny. Froze tomatoes, 6 packages.

Merrill went up to Horton’s. Hard frost last night. We covered tomatoes.

Heather and Glenda Boscheck here before school, 6:30 for rest of week. Bob left for West Point. Sent Vern card, note, and $5.00. Merrill cut corn stalks. Randy and Tim came for them.

Boscheck girls here in morning. Paid school taxes at Municipal Building, $165.67. Power off over town so couldn’t get groceries. we went back after lunch for groceries.

Vern’s 55th birthday. Nice day. I washed clothes. Merrill fixed garage door. Rev. Carol Berry here for first time. District Superintendent can’t come to meeting on Wednesday.

UMW district meeting at Gouverneur. 5 from here went. I went with Margaret. good meeting. 80-90 there. Rained some today.

We went to Sunday School 45 and church 52. Glenda Boscheck went with us. Sue and Heather sick. We went to city in PM for eye drops. Rained all the time.

Cold wind. We froze beets. Merrill put lawn furniture away. got wedding reception invitation from Ken and Esther for October 27, 3 PM, Mannsville.

We froze carrots. A nice day. almost 70°. I made a vegetable soup. Froze some. 700.000 babies have been born with AIDS virus.

Two houses at Carpenter Meadows not sold yet. Sent Leah birthday card. PPR meeting at Philadelphia 6:45. 9 there. Voted pastor’s salary $17,050. Rebekah’s meeting at 8 PM now. I didn’t go. election of officers.

Merrill got hair cut, $6.00. Wrote Juanita and Don. Jim and Sue here in evening on way home from Harrisville.

PPR meeting with District Superintendent, Bob McClune, 5 PM. 10 there. A beautiful day. Sunny and warm. Wrote Bea Gehm. Sent her birthday card. Robbins’ man cleaned furnace.

Thunder and hail storms in evening and during night. Supper at Mills. We didn’t go. Trustee meeting. Merrill went. Only 5 there. UMW at Sina’s. I went with Margaret. We went for groceries in AM. Raining all day.

Sunny and breezy. Washed dark clothes. My arthritis sore today. Garage fire at 801 housing in evening. No one hurt.

John Kiechle and Mary Ann Koeger married in Mattydale. Washed clothes. Great day. Windy. big limb blew off tree in back yard. Cleaned floors. They broke ground for new grade school at Indian River.

We went to Sunday School 42, and church 56. Crop Walk at city. Rev. Carol walked. Another great day, 84°. Ralph Hogaboom 83, died in Oswego.

Raining. Made chocolate chip coolies. Lyla was over and spent evening. Larry is buying a trailer.

Rained all day. Administrative Council 7:30. 10 there. Talked about building on to church. Tom brought 2 cord wood. Wrote letter to Donny Hanson in Saudi Arabia.

Rebekahs Installation of officers, 25 present. I’m chaplain again. Ralph Hogaboom’s funeral in Oswego. We didn’t go. Vivian here collecting for leukemia.

Still raining. Warm. Merrill raked more leaves. Lyla’s 63rd birthday.

We put yellow ribbons on large pole for Donny. We went to Sunday School 31, and church 51. Joyce preached in both churches. excellent sermon. Called Jim in morning. Rain in morning but sunny in PM and evening.

Merrill put wood down cellar. Rained some in morning. but cleared rest of day.

World Series starts. Cincinnati Reds and Oakland A’s. Sunny day. Rev. Cameron died in evening. Merrill cleaned up leaves and mowed some of lawns. Lyla, Vicky, and Randi (4 months) here for lunch. Elaine and Timmy here in PM.

Aunt Maude’s 85th birthday. Rev. Carol got home in PM. I washed clothes. Vern called twice in PM.

Boscheck girls brought me floral piece. 28° overnight. Sent cards to Mrs. Cameron and George Waters. We went over to Cheryl’s for party for Aunt Maude’s 85th birthday. Good to see them all. Aunt Maude looks good. Cincinnati Reds win World Series over “As”.

We went to Sunday School 41, and church 44. We went down to Howard and Evelyn’s in PM. Jim, Joel, Jill, and Sue came while we were gone. They had supper with us.

We went to city. I got pink and white sweater. Vern met us at Social Security office. we got two new front tires at Sears @$62.99. Rained hard all day. Boscheck girls here in morning. Bob helping search for hunter.

Ken and Esther called. Invited us to their wedding at Mannsville United Methodist Church at 2:30 on Saturday. Merrill put new washers in all the faucets.

Rebekah’s, 13 out. Played BINGO. Sunny day but cool. Sent Steve card, letter, and $5.00.

Steve’s 26th birthday. A baby on the way. Washed clothes. Merrill brought in 5 heads of cabbage from garden.

Dr. Siegel 10:00 AM. Weight 162, blood pressure 114/80. Snow flurries in morning. Cold all day. Down to 14° over night.

Set clocks back 1 hour. Kenneth Hanson and Esther Hazleton married at Mannsville United Methodist Church. Reception at Mannsville Fire Hall. All very nice. About 30 at wedding and 200 at reception.
