Church back to 11:15. now. We went to Sunday School 44, and church. Still hot and muggy. Jim, Joel, and Scott Pastor 15 (Gary and Joanne’s youngest son) here for PM and supper. Rain shower in evening.

Rebekah’s. Evans Mills ladies joined, 16 there. Froze last of corn. Rained some in evening. Merrill painted Mary’s garage door again. Paid him $15.00.

Debbie’s (Beulah’s grand daughter) wedding. We helped at church some in AM. We prepared food at Legion. Cold and raining.

150th anniversary of Philadelphia United Methodist Church. A great day. We went to Sunday School and church. Over a hundred attended. Had chicken Bar-B-Q. Vern and June, and Bea came to it. Merrill and I received awards. Also Marge and Joyce. Rev. Collin Kerr-Carpenter did a great job.

Tired today. A nice day. Warm in PM. Berl Scee stabbed over weekend in fight. In Mercy Hospital. Basel Beckstead’s son and daughter-in-law arrested in drug charges.

Amway peas, $26.00. Merrill went to Mills twice for them. Only 11 packages in first box. Got new plugs and tune up, $50.85 at George’s. Chain saw not ready yet. Washed dresses. Merrill cut corn in garden.

Vern’s 53rd birthday. Nice day. Merrill mowed lawns. Huge hurricane doing lots of damage. Very strong. Number 4 on a 5 scale.

Hugo” hit eastern coast about midnight. Terrible damage at Charleston South Carolina. We went for groceries in morning. Windy and hot.

Hugo passed over here about 1 PM. Bad winds and rain. Not too bad here. Washed clothes. Dried them inside. Power off 1 1/2 hours in PM. Kathy and Rae here. Ordered 2 things from Rae. Baked cake and cupcakes.

First people moved into Carpenter Meadows. We went out to Don’s. There most of the day. Don not feeling good at all. Debby and Mary had bad accident. Debbie’s car totaled. Sent taxes and AARP insurance and card to Leah. I called Roberta from Don’s.

Just a great day. We went to Sunday School 37, and church 32. Darcy and Brent was over. She lives at Utica now. We went for ride to Gouverneur and Oxbow. No one home at Debby’s. Got a sub at Pizzeria for supper. Brain Salisbury family in church for first time.

Merrill went to library to have insurance and lawyer letter copied. He got a library card and 2 books on chain saws and small engines. Debby here on way home from work. She has 1987 dark blue GMC pick up.

Sent insurance claims. Wrote Vern’s and sent them lawyer’s letter. Washed clothes. Merrill put on storm windows. Jim ashley had stroke. They took him to hospital at 4 AM.

I talked with Kathy. Jim very bad. He’s on life support. Wrote Bea Gehm. Sent checks to EPIC, cable, and electric. Jim Ashley, 64 died around 5 PM. Cheryl called at 9. I called Juanita.

Bea Gehm’s birthday. UMW at Vi’s. 11 there. We went to smorgasbord supper at Evans Mills. We went over to Lylas awhile. Got word Aunt Maude’s’ sister, Carrie, died September 19th. Raining in evening.

Arthur and Lottie Haggerty Hanson married 75 years ago today at Philadelphia, Beautiful home wedding on Coolidge Farm. Cha and boys here. Paid me $9.00. Gave us mustard. I washed clothes. Cloudy day.

Steve’s 25th birthday. He has a nice wife, good job (BACCA), and new home (Brewerton). Not bad for 25 years old. We washed windows inside and out. Even storms. Saw Barn can’t fix chain saw, worn out. Pauline and Garmon here to spend the day. Garmon not good.
