We left for home at 11:30. Had lunch with Brenda and Bill. No one home at Don’s. Stopped at Roy’s. Elgin called in evening. He is coming over on Saturday. Helen Tooley called in evening.

I called several about lunch at Mills with Catherine. Got stuff ready for tomorrow. Got groceries in AM. Washed clothes.

Elgin and Carmi here for dinner. We went out to mall in PM. They left about 4:30. Had nice visit. Jim called in evening. He is working on his back porch.

Vern and June left about 8 AM for Vermont for 4 days. We went to Mills. Stopped at Leah’s new apartment. Very nice. Went to bank and cashed in certificate. Warm in 80’s.

Washed clothes. Talked with Nancy and Rosie about PPR meeting Sunday at Mills. Sent check for car insurance, fire insurance, telephone and Reader’s Digest subscriptions. Jim and Sue here in PM. Ken called.

Ken got here about 4 PM with his new GMC truck (1986). Debbie here on way home. Ken and Merrill went to beef cattle meet at Gouverneur in evening. Stopped to see Debbie’s’ new house.

Ken left about 2 PM. He went over to Art and Doris from here. I called her about PPR meeting. Colder today. Sunny. Got card from Vern from Vermont.

We went to church, 22 out. DS McClune and Joyce in charge. We had PPR meeting at Mills after church. Raining out and warm. Jim, Walt, and Mike came to move van. Wheel on Jim’s truck broken so he had to call wrecker.

Cloudy and windy. Merrill took cucumbers to Horton’s. They are still haying. Merrill ordered load of wood from Ralph Zehr of Crogan, $270.

Vern and June’s 29th anniversary. We went to church. Only 16 there. New chimney is all finished. Cost $4010.00.
