We went to city and FHA. Got red petunias for cemetery and set them out on way home. Got wedding gift for Donnie. Rained hard all day. Foggy. Jolie sang solo at school concert. Joel in chorus. Pat and Jim went.

Merrill set out cabbage and tomato plants. Planted some of garden. Jim called in evening from work. I call lawyer but he didn’t call back. Wrote Holly and June Ridsdale. UMW at Sina’s, 16 there. Nice. Doris over to plan ice cream social before meeting.

Raining hard in AM. Thunder. We went for groceries in AM. Cleared in late PM.

Washed clothes. Merrill mowed lawns 2nd time this week. A just beautiful day. Put in door screens for first. In the 80’s. Cut my hair. Froze asparagus.

We went to Sunday School 46, and church 68. Children’s Day. Milikin (born in Malta) was guest speaker. Last day for Sunday School until fall. Refreshments. Great service.

Washed clothes ad ironed them. Merrill finished planing garden. Beulah C called in evening. They are coming Wednesday. Drakes got new pool. June Ridsdale called.

Merrill burned brush pile. We went for groceries in PM. I baked rhubarb pie. Great day.

Beulah and Danny Congdon’s and Gloria and Roger Verbridge here for dinner, Gladys and Ted Garmon came in PM. Great visit. Good to see them all. Beulah and Gladys hadn’t seen each other in years.

We went for groceries in AM. Washed table clothes etc. Great day but rained in evening.

They changed TV cable, to cable ready basic, $13.25. I baked rolls and cookies for church food sale. Raining hard in evening. Rev. Collin called. He has nose operation June 19.

Church food sale. Made $311.30. Merrill took food over to Ron’s store. Had sale inside. He went to dump. Washed clothes.

We went to church 37. No Sunday School until September. Jim, and Jill here for supper.

Merrill mowed lawns. Gear broke on riding lawn mower. Vern and June here in PM. Vern had been to see Dr. Scanlon. Had sore eyes.

Merrill got car inspected at George’s, $10.00. Got gear for mower at Saw Barn. I made brownies for lodge. Exchange of collars from Antwerp. 21 present. Last day of high school.

Father’s Day. Jim and kids here for supper. Charlie Covell preached. Collin at Conference in Oswego. 37 in church. Elaine called in morning. George Drake called. Said Carrie Thompson, 91 died yesterday. I talked with Collin, Lyla, Margaret and Leah in evening.

Attn. Jackson called. He is going to check. Collin has nose operation. We went to city to get part of lawn mower fitted. Went several places but got it done at Dex Electric’s, $7.70. Got eye drops. Went to see Aunt Maude and Carl Scee. both good. Merrill fixed lawn mower.

Cloudy and some rain. Warm. Got letter from Beulah M. Herald Farr called in evening to see if June R was still on farm.

Carrie Thompson’s 91 funeral at Theresa. We went. Quite a few there. Rained in evening. Hot and muggy all day.

Merrill mowed lawns. Got graduation invitation and picture from Marty Paro. Rained some in evening. Got thank you note from Dan.

We went for groceries. Sent June card, note and check. Rainy and muggy.

Washed clothes. Merrill mowed weeds at parsonage. Went to dump. Very hot but nice breeze. Debby here on way home from work.

Joyce Griffin preached. Joyce has her lay speakers license now. Very good service. 35 in church. Still hot in the 80’s. Jim, Sue, and Walt here in evening. Had been to Portaferry.

June’s 51st birthday. Very hot and humid.

I baked cookies and chocolate cake and cup cakes. Still quite hot and humid. Merrill worked in garden.

Washed coats. Rebekah’s go out to eat at Gleasons in Gouverneur. I went with Ginny. 10 there. Evans Mills women went too. Also Edna Backus.

Kyle and Crystal here to spend the day for first. Merrill played ball with them. He taught Crystal to play “Pitch”, cards. Uncle Len Haggerty, 95 had a stroke.

We went to Adams to pick berries but both places closed for day. Went to see Beulah. Had nice visit. Went up to Don’s. Merrill went to hay field with Don and to see crops. Juanita and I visited all day.

Merrill picked 15# of berries at Farr’s, 60¢. He mowed lawns when he got home. I washed clothes. Crystal and Kyle here all day. Elaine Horton and kids here . Jessica (Marks) with them. Mr. and Mrs. Greg Shippee had baby.

Lori Haggerty broke her arm this week. Church at 9 AM now. Only 20 out. Bill and Vi went to old time 50th anniversary party for Don and Vivian Myers. We went to it. Diane went with us. We stopped at Lancaster’s. Wanda and kids in Mississippi.

Dr. Scanlon 2 PM. My left cataract getting larger. Paid up back account. $21.17 after Medicare. Merrill got new work shoes at Sears, $38.48.

Crystal and Kyle here until noon. Hot and muggy day. We ate supper outside.

Perm hair appointment with Donna 9:30. $20.00. Donna gave me curling iron. They black topped road by motel, Philadelphia Courts, and end of our street. My hip very sore.

My hip bad. In bed all day. Quaker Days begin.

I’ve been in bed all day. Can’t hardly move for pain in my back. Quaker Days.

My third day in bed. Merrill opened church and went after offering. Quaker Days ended with a parade.

Jolie’s 18th birthday. Sent her card, note, and money. Bad storms all around. We didn’t get much done. I walked to bathroom for first.

Administrative Board meeting 7:30. Merrill went. Planned for 150th anniversary. Merrill mowed lawns. Kyle here today. I got up and walked some.

I get dressed for first time in 6 days. My back still sore. We washed clothes. School vote on land was voted down. Merrill got hair cut.

Merrill went for groceries. Kyle here today. They washed car. Nice day.

Kyle here. He didn’t want to go to recreation with Crystal. Washed clothes. Jim called in evening. He has terrible cold. Missed some work.

Don and Juanita’s 39th anniversary. Donnie Hanson and Renee Trombley’s wedding. Very beautiful. Held outside by pool. Nice reception. Large attendance.

Haggerty Reunion at Wescotts. 55 there. We had pavilion. We stopped at Jim’s on way home. Only he and Jill home.

Randall’s new double wide trailer moved on lot today. We met at church with Doris to gather up supplies for strawberry festival. June’s college class starts.

Kyle here today. Don Gehm enters Harrwood Nursing Home at 10:30 AM. Got letter from June. She’s feeling bad about Don going to nursing home. Washed clothes.

Merrill and Bruce put in light bulbs at church. Wrote June and Vern and Bea. Hartford Kavanaugh, 82 died of massive hemorrhage.
