We went to Vern and June’s with Jim and kids. Steve and Kathy and Dan and Robin Halbert there also. Dan is dating Robin, Kathy’s sister. Dan gave us his year book picture. A nice day together. Got home at 7 PM.

Cold and sunny. Got tax notice, $661.46, up $52.90. Eric here for his door key. Ken called in evening and we talked for over an hour. All are well. Don doing better. Jim in police school this week.

UMW at parsonage. Week of Prayer and Self Denial program. Very good, 9 there. We went for groceries before meeting. Very cold all day.

Ken’s 69th birthday. Warmer. Made 2 banana bread, 12 cupcakes, and 1 apple pie. Merrill fixed snow blower at church. Got letter from Beulah M.

Washed clothes. Merrill helped Horton’s in PM putting door on at Mills.

Warmer today. Windy. Snow all melted. We went to Sunday School 38, and church 49. Jim called in evening from work.

I called Kathy. Aunt Maude doing okay. They took her chair to her. Merrill helped Horton’s on door in PM. Snowing south of Adams way.

Merrill helped at Horton’s. We went to administrative Council in evening, 12 out. Good meeting.

Sunny, cold wind. Raining in evening. Roads very slippery. I went to Rebekah’s with Ginny. Her daughter Jill has cancer bad again.

25 year old woman killed on Route 11 near Antwerp Street. Very icy in morning. Lots of accidents.

Gladys Lamon’s 79th birthday. Merrill called her. I washed clothes. Jim called in evening. Sackets without water.

We went to Sunday School 45, and church 55. Raining, windy, and snowy. Colder in PM.

Martin Luther King Day. No mail and no school. Not a bad day. Some snow, some sun. Merrill went over to Marg’s to get church report figures.

Very stormy. Washed Merrill’s work clothes. I called Lindsey about Stuart Jackson.

Dr. Sommer, 2:45. Filled my tooth, $29.00. We went to Bible Study, 6 there. Beulah Congdon’s 77th birthday. Warmer. Some snow flurries.

Mr. Jackson’s office called. Appointment Tuesday, January 24th at 10:30. Worked on church reports.

Watched Inauguration all day. Very nice to watch. History being made. We went for groceries in morning. Meeting at Sandy Creek about medical garbage burning on Ken’s farm. Roberta on TV against it.

Went to Sunday School 58, and church 50. Beautiful day but cold wind. Finished reports. Jim called in evening. Today is his 21st anniversary as city policeman.

We called at funeral home for Evelyn Drake in PM. Went into city to see Aunt Maude at Macauly Hall. Got oil changed, $16.00. Like spring. In the 50’s.

Appointment with Atty. Stuart Jackson. Went out to Don’s afterwards. Nice today. Got long letter from June and Vern.

Sold 2 antique rocking chairs to Ernie Davis for $100.00. Rebekah’s. I went. Merrill went to Bible Study. June left for Washington, DC on train to visit Nancy Schaffer.

Sleeting and ice everywhere this morning. Schools closed. We went for groceries. Paid water bill. $120.00 for 6 months.

Trustees meeting. All there but Marge. We went to city. Took June R’s debt notice to FHA. Stopped at store. Merrill got coat and pants. I got slacks and sweaters.
