We went to Vern and June’s with Jim and kids. Steve and Kathy and Dan and Robin Halbert there also. Dan is dating Robin, Kathy’s sister. Dan gave us his year book picture. A nice day together. Got home at 7 PM.

Cold and sunny. Got tax notice, $661.46, up $52.90. Eric here for his door key. Ken called in evening and we talked for over an hour. All are well. Don doing better. Jim in police school this week.

Martin Luther King Day. No mail and no school. Not a bad day. Some snow, some sun. Merrill went over to Marg’s to get church report figures.

Watched Inauguration all day. Very nice to watch. History being made. We went for groceries in morning. Meeting at Sandy Creek about medical garbage burning on Ken’s farm. Roberta on TV against it.

We called at funeral home for Evelyn Drake in PM. Went into city to see Aunt Maude at Macauly Hall. Got oil changed, $16.00. Like spring. In the 50’s.

Sold 2 antique rocking chairs to Ernie Davis for $100.00. Rebekah’s. I went. Merrill went to Bible Study. June left for Washington, DC on train to visit Nancy Schaffer.
