Rained in early morning. Merrill finished mowing lawn. He finished planting garden. My cold is bad. Feel terrible.

Clinic: Raining. Merrill worked at Horton’s. We didn’t go to clinic. I feel horrid. Glenn Brady stopped by in evening. Called Cable Company to remove HBO, Cinemax, and Disney channel.

We went to Sunday School 29 and church 39. Cold, windy. No rain. Merrill sanded on car. The spirea bushes are loaded with blossoms this year. Beautiful.

Rev. Collin and Rev. Kathy ordained in Oswego. We went to church 74, and Sunday School 43. Children’s Day. Joyce in charge. Cobby had service. Jim, kids, and Jolie’s boy friend, Pat Hayes, Syracuse, here for supper.

Rebekah’s out to eat. Colonial Kitchen, Theresa. 8 of us. Very nice. Merrill stayed with Claude. Merrill and Bill Burns went to Mills for lumber for parsonage porch. Rained hard in evening. Some thunder and lightening.

Much cooler today. Merrill and Bill Mowers repaired parsonage porch. I talked with Patty. No Bible Study as Joyce had meeting.

We picked 20 pounds of berries at 62 cents at Bedore’s. Went up to Don’s. Beulah not home. Went to bank and got groceries when we got home. Hulled berries and froze them. Merrill mowed at lawns. Graduation. Merrill got hair cut.

Raining and thunder in AM. Merrill mowed back lawn. I washed clothes. Howard and Evelyn here in evening. I went over to Chomsun’s. She paid me in full.

Donnie Hanson graduated from South Jefferson. June’s 50th birthday. I forgot to send her card. We went to church 33. We went to Susie and Liz Horton’s graduation parties. Both great. Jim’s here while we were gone. Left ladder. Wrote letters to June and Beulah.

Merrill went to Mills and to George’s Garage to get car inspected and oil changed. I washed Merrill’s clothes. Merrill tacked down carpet at parsonage.

Merrill took car to George’s for emergency brake repair. Left it all day. Peggy came after him in evening. Put on new tie rod end and emergency brake, $126.61. I made rolls. Raining in evening.

Raining on and off all day. Merrill went up to Horton’s in morning to see about truck. They paid him $570. We went for groceries in AM. Lanphear’s brought house roof stuff in PM.

Got stuff ready for tomorrow. Washed clothes. Cloudy and showers. Vern, June, Dan and Mr. Peabody (cat) got here about 10 AM. Horton brought down dump truck to put old shingles in.

Darcy’s 18th birthday. Men worked at roof all day. Gary and Joey helped awhile. Steve and Kathy here to help also. June and I went for a walk. Stopped at Lancaster’s and Wanda’s.

Merrill went to church 9:00 now. 33 there. They worked at roof all day. Finished about 4 PM. A beautiful day. Vern’s left after supper. Everyone tired and sore but happy to have roof done. Dan $65.

Hot, 92°. Orville Haggerty, 84 died. Jolie’s’ 17th birthday. She is having a party. We went to church 33. Cobby slate preached. Collin with kids in West virginia. We went for ride and up to park in PM.

Cooler 80°. Merrill mowed lawns. Weeds bad. Martha Roberts called to say Orv died yesterday at 2:20. (Sunday) Kathryn Wilcox died July 5. I called Elgin, Arts, Paul’s and Lila.

We went to city shopping for church stuff. We went to Adams. Stopped at Beulah’s before going to funeral home. Orv looked very natural. Kathryn’s ashes arrived and put in closed casket. Vern, June, Jim, and Jill at funeral home.
