It is in tonight’s Times that Basil Hanson, 52 died of heart attack in Washington State on Sunday. Kids here before and after school.

45° and sunny in PM. Dan’s 21st birthday. Dr. Siegel, 9:00. My blood pressure normal. Merrill got new watch and razor at Present Co. Got blanket and pillow gift for Darcy. We went to Bible Study in evening.

Basil’s funeral at 1 PM. Darcy’s baby shower. I went. 20 there. Nice gifts. Nice time.

We went for groceries in AM. Beautiful day here but stormy in Pulaski and Oswego. Schools closed. 2 feet of snow there. Ron Clark finished bathroom at church.

Cold but sunny. Merrill helped at church all PM. They have the floors and fellowship room yet to do. Sent Orv birthday card.

Sent Sears money for chairs. Merrill went to dump and then worked at church getting things ready for Sunday. Washed clothes. Made cake. Merrill cleaned floors.

We went to Sunday School 41, and church 58. Nice day. Sunny 20-30°. Doris said they are having a rough time with Uncle Len. His mind is so bad.

Leap year. Orv’s 84th birthday. Merrill went over to bank and to put out garbage at church. Got tax refund check, $273.00. Talked with Jim. He is moving to new office on West Main.

Dr. Sommer 12:00. Exam $19. Rev. Collin here in morning. Nice day. Cold in morning. Got letter from June R about farm payments.

Warmer today. In 30’s. I cleaned fruit and vegetables cupboard in back room.

Bible Study. We went, 7 there. We went for groceries in morning. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s for her church money. Merrill helped over at church.

Another nice day. World Day of Prayer, 18 there. Nice program. Had it down stairs. They are doing fellowship room. Made meat loaf and beans.

Sunny. Great day but cold. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors.

Called Jim’s. Trustees meeting after church. Another beautiful day. We went to Sunday School 42, and church 71. We went out to Don’s. Had supper. Talked with Ken. Eleanor getting home from Florida Tuesday. We visited Audrey. Vern’s called in evening.

Uncle Len’s kids had meeting tonight to decide his future plans. Merrill went over to church to let workers in. They are painting fellowship room.

Administrative Council, 8 there. Long meeting. We cleaned laundry room. Washed dark clothes. They are putting up TV cable on our road.

Darcy Belile and John Toomey had baby boy, Brent Quincy. Joey’s 14th birthday. Merrill saw 2 robins in back yard. Rebekah’s. Ginny didn’t come. We went to city in morning. Merrill got drivers license renewed. He got 3 sweaters (sale). Raining.

Bible Study, 7 there. Got church newsletter, “Chronicle”. First one in a long time. Nice. Merrill helped at church some. They are working at the floors.

We cleaned storeroom. We found Monopoly board finally. Adam M here selling cheese. Linda over at supper time. Darcy and Brent doing fine. Be home Sunday.

Merrill helped at church in morning. They have finished work on inside. I washed. Made brownies and baked beans. Did 4 pints of strawberry jam. Merrill cleaned floors.

We went to church 36. Canceled Sunday School because of ice. Trustees had meeting after church. Lazy day. Cloudy.

Snowed during the night. Kay Branch, 60 died of heart attack in evening. She cleaned our church.

I haven’t felt good all day. Terrible stomach pains. Bob Acheson 78, died this morning.

Lancaster kids not here. Eric is sick. Merrill got hair cut at new barber shop over here for first, $3.50.

St. Patrick’s Day. We went for groceries in AM. I called for food for Kay Branch funeral. We went to Bible Study in evening, 8 out. Good study.

Dr. Sommer 11:15. Had tooth filled, $23.00. Got eye drops and blood pressure pills at Nichols. Got girdle. Some snow flurries in PM.

Sunny. Merrill took food for Kay Branch’s funeral. I washed clothes.

We talked with Jim’s kids at new house. We went to Sunday School 41, and church 73. Sunny day but cold wind 20°. Eleanor and Kay here in PM and for supper. She brought birthday cake and maple syrup. We had nice visit.

Leslie called in evening. All well. -8° this morning. Sunny. Cold wind all day. I made some maple sugar. They have started work on Carpenter Meadows project for first this year.

Merrill’s 79th birthday. Sunny. I made chocolate chip cookies. Vern called in evening. Merrill had gone to bed. Gladys called him also.

We went to store for D-Con. I went to Rebekah’s in evening. First this winter. 7 there, and 1 guest.

50’s today. Eleanor’s 60th birthday. Great day. We went for groceries in AM. Sent Juanita and Donnie cards. Bible Study. Collin’s Holy Land slides, 8 out. I called Sackets in evening. Talked with Jill. Patty at city.

No school. Warm. In the 70’s. We cleaned kitchen. Joey and Nathan brought me pussy willows.

Audrey Puffer 64, died this morning. I called Vern’s. Juanita’s 59th and Donnie’s 18th birthday. Jim called to tell us about Audrey. Also told he and Patty separated 3 weeks ago. We rented shampoo machine and did kitchen carpet, $9.63. We went to Snack Bar for supper.

Palm Sunday, 100 at church and 42 at Sunday School. Bonnie and Walt’s boy baptized. Memory service for Audrey at Reed and Bonoit Funeral Home at 7 PM. We went. June came up alone and went with us. She was here for supper. Vern sick with flu. Snowing in evening.

Audrey buried at 1:00 PM. Patty and Jim both called in evening to say Jolie is in hospital in ICU. Went in this is PM. Broken blood vessel in her head. She had CAT Scan.

I called Vern’s. We went to hospital to see Jolie. She had Angiogram and many x-rays. She will have to have 75-100 x-rays. Tests didn’t find anything that is causing her numbness. Jim called in evening.

Jolie moved to room 245. Telephone 785-4213. She’s to have heart tests. June called in evening. Vern better. They leave on trip tomorrow at 1:00. Jolie called in evening. Joel took sick in PM at school. They called here about him. Connie Rudes started cleaning church.

Maundy Thursday. Communion at Philadelphia. 31 out. I talked with Jolie. Patty has gone to Canada for two nights.

Cloudy. Rained some. We went for groceries in AM. We didn’t go to Good Friday service at Mills. Talked with Jolie twice. Heart doctor didn’t come. Patty back from Canada.

Jolie goes home from hospital. I talked with her in AM. Debby here in PM on way home from work. She hangs curtains. I washed clothes. Baked rolls and apple pies. A great day. Almost 70°

Postage goes to 25 cents a letter. Fast time begins at 12 AM. Easter Sunday. 110 at church. No Sunday School. Jim and kids here for dinner. Patty called in evening. A sad but a good day together. Jolie drove out. She has to have more tests.

June called. Don Gehm’s brother died on Easter Sunday. Vern and June had good trip. We went to banks and got groceries. Renewed CD at Evans Mills Bank for 4 years.

UMW at church, 16 there. CD Starts 4 years. We went for groceries. Howard called. Wants Merrill to build fence. Art in hospital at Bay. Talked with Jim. Jolie had another CAT Scan this morning. Got letter from Beulah. Kathryn Haggerty real sick.

Jolie’s doctor appointment. She has several abnormal blood vessels on brain. Talked with both Patty and Jim. She could have a stroke. Rebekah District meeting at Philadelphia. I went for meeting. Virginia Shaw new DDP.

I called Vern’s. Washed Merrill’s work clothes. Made meat load and baked beans for freezer
