I called Ken in morning. Eleanor still in St. Joseph’s hospital. They changed her medication. May get home Monday. Merrill worked at Horton’s.

We went to Sunday School 48, and church 51. World Wide Communion Sunday. Rainy. Watched the closing of the Olympic Games from Korea.

UMW at Chase Manor. Leah and I on refreshments. I made salad and rolls. 16 there. Madeline Session, Utica, was guest. We went for groceries in morning. Got 8 1/2 inch fry pan. Merrill worked at Horton’s. Got wagon finished.

We went to church and Sunday School, 50 there. Rally Day. I called Ken. Eleanor still in hospital.

Hal and Kim Hall have baby girl, Kaitlin Ann. Laura’s 14th birthday. I called June. We went to Vern’s in AM. June took us to hospital in Syracuse to see Eleanor for last time. Steve and Kathy and Dan came to Vern’s in evening. We took Eleanor flowers.

PPR meeting at Evans Mills, 7:30. Only 4 there so we will meet next Wednesday. We went to Don’s on way home. He sold 20 cows today for $10,000. Lila Ashley’s birthday.

Bible Study on Revelations in Philadelphia. Only 4 of us there. Snow flurries in evening for first this fall here. Jim called. He works days on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for 3 weeks. Jolie didn’t pass drivers test.

Cold. We went for groceries in morning. Merrill put on storm windows. Roasted a turkey I’ve had in freezer, 20 pounds. Merrill put more wood down cellar.

A beautiful day. Washed clothes. Linda B got home at 4:30 AM from Reserves in Washington, DC for two and a half weeks. Merrill put in storm windows at church. Cleaned up the garden.

Great day, 70°. Merrill tied up cardboard and papers at church. I sent for calcium pills. Administration Council meeting on church repair. 12 out to special meeting. Mr. Taylor didn’t show up. Going to see a lawyer.

Eleanor died at 2 PM today. Dr. Scanlon 1:30. No dark room test this time. All okay. Kathy VanTassel’s birthday. Planning meeting at parsonage. Trish Lewis in charge, 21 present.

Aunt Maude Haggerty’s 83rd birthday. We stopped to see her on way to Bible Study, 7 out to Bible Study. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Liz Horton came home from college, homesick.

Dodgers won World Series against Los Angeles A’s. We went for groceries in AM. Merrill worked up leaves for Terry Hall but he didn’t come for them. I called Ken in evening. He’s doing okay. Received letter for jury duty, November 7.

We went to Sunday School 48, but didn’t stay for church, 43. Debbie stopped by. We all went to Ken’s about 50 there. Good to see everyone. We went to Vern’s and spent the night. Their new curtains look so nice.

Rebekah Installation. I’m chaplain again. 21 there. Leah NG again . Rained about all day. Some snow in places. I made cranberry salad to take.

Memorial Service for Eleanor at Sandy Creek UM Church at 7:30 PM. Large turn out. Went to Ken’s after. We stopped at Roy’s. He’s not feeling good. We stayed all night at Don’s.
