May Day. We went to church 59, and Sunday School 40. Charlie Covell preached. Eleanor called in morning. Juanita goes to doctor Monday. We went to Indian River Diner for a fish fry. Jim, Joel, Jill, and Sue there on way home from Portaferry.

Mother and Daughter Banquet, 6 PM. Not as big a crowd but very nice. Mrs. Beers speaker. I went alone. Wanda and Laura L couldn’t go.

I called Patty. We had quite an enlightening visit. 12/83 separated. Merrill went to George’s for new spark plug, $28.52 in car.

I washed several dresses, slacks, sweaters, and blouses. Merrill fixed cement step. We got down lawn furniture. Our assessment was raised. It is now 33,200.

Merrill mowed lawns for first time this year. We went for groceries. Had windows open for first. Great day. We went to Bible study in evening. Joyce had it.

Jolie’s angiogram at Mercy, 8 AM. Dr. Speary. All went well. She was there from 6:30 – 5 PM. Jim called. Washed blankets. Merrill painted patio iron railing.

Merrill helped build fence at Horton’s for first this year. I washed clothes. Cold wind.

Mother’s Day. We went to Sunday School 37, and church 70. Cobby had service. Sunday School gave Mothers a plant. Jim, Jolie, Joel, and Sue here for dinner. Cha was over. Vern and June called in evening.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. My arthritis bad. Tired all day.

Jim and Pat’s 19th anniversary. Mike White’s birthday. Patty here in PM for an hour and a half. A bad day for her. Merrill worked at Horton’s. We went to store.

Friday the 13th. Windy some rain. Merrill worked at Horton’s.

Washed clothes. Used new line for first. Merrill mowed lawns with push mower. Chain broke on riding mower. He got hair cut at Philadelphia Barber. Froze asparagus.

Patty’s 41st birthday. Jill visiting her this weekend. Jim called in evening. He is working this weekend. We went to Sunday School 35, and church 48. We went out to Don’s in PM. Had supper with them. Rev. Kathy preached.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. Power off in village all day. Kids went to Evans Mills school. Debby here in PM. She has a new car.

Dr. Siegel, 9 AM. Blood pressure 140/90. He gave me Seldane for my hearing noises. Merrill got chain for mower. We got cabbage, tomato, and geranium plants. $2.29 this year. Leslie called in evening. All are well. He had just called Grace M in Florida.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. Sent Don G birthday card and note. Got car license. Got oil rebate, $360. They black topped street on Carpenter Meadows.

Don Gehm’s 76th birthday. We went to church 43, and Sunday School 33. A great day. 75°. Merrill finished mowing our lawns. I weeded flowers.

A great day. Merrill worked at Horton’s. Eleanor called in evening. Elgin called her to say Olive Bowman died about 3 PM today. Funeral Thursday at 1:30 at chapel in Winchester. Hal Hall here. He is building a car wash.

Cooler but sunny. Froze asparagus. Merrill worked at Horton’s. Called Rev. Collin and Helen Tooley. Called Kathy. Aunt Maude lost teeth in toilet while vomiting. Debby here in PM. I called Elgin in evening.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. Sam was sick when he came from school. Darcy and Brent here. Brought me wedding invitation. We went for groceries in evening. Pauline called and wants us to go to Canada with them. Called her in evening.

Olives’ funeral. We went with Garmon and Pauline. Went to Elgin’s first. Large funeral at chapel. We went to Genevieve’s after. Went to see Charlie Ault, 88. Also stopped to see Orv. He has had pneumonia but improving.

School out at 10:30. Merrill worked at Horton’s. I washed clothes. Jim called. Joel with Patty this weekend. Girls with band weekend. Canada on Saturday, Darien Lake on Sunday, and Sackets Monday. Jim off Monday and Tuesday.

We went to Sunday School 31, and church 43. Trustees meeting on using church for drug support group. My cold terrible. Sore throat. Merrill mowed lawns. He set out cabbage and tomato plants.

Rained in early morning. Merrill finished mowing lawn. He finished planting garden. My cold is bad. Feel terrible.
