We went to Sunday School 36, and church 56. John Johnston and Sarah Jean joined the church. Rev’s Collin and Kathy leave for 3 weeks vacation in California. Back on May 23.

Sunny but still cold. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. The Major Listen family are moving into Percell House. They have four children.

Merrill didn’t work at Horton’s today. We went to city. I got my hair cut at Hair Crafters, $6.50 plus tip. Merrill got work shoes $26.74. Merrill mowed lawn when we got home. They are putting up water stand pipe at 801.

Jim and Pat’s anniversary 18. Mother’s Day. Communion breakfast at Gouverneur at 7 AM. I didn’t go. We went to Sunday School 42, and church 57. Cobby preached. Stephen gave me plant he made in Sunday School. Jim, Pat and kids here for PM and supper. Brought me red carnations in vase. Jolie washed car.

Rain and thunder in morning. Merrill worked all day at Horton’s. George Belile’s burial today. Bonnie and Walt Cooper have baby boy born today. Art’s birthday.

Dr. Scanlon, 1:30. He checked for new glasses. No change. UMW District Meeting at Natural Bridge, 4:30. Administrative Council 7:30. I have devotions. 9 there. Sunday School Sundae Party. We went. 2 Cha kids went with us.

Still cloudy and cool. Merrill went to George’s at Mills in morning to get light switch fixed. He worked at Horton’s all day. They finished plowing. I worked on Mother and Daughter banquet program. A 19 year old soldier choked his 2 year old son to death at Philly Courts.

Mother and Daughter Banquet, 6 PM. It was just great this year. “A Sentimental Journey”. Chomsun and Stephanie went with me. Eleanor and Roy here in PM. Sammy C got sick in school They brought him here as Chomsun wasn’t home. Merrill worked at Horton’s.

Don Gehm’s 75th birthday. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Very warm. Rained some. I washed dark clothes. I froze 3 packages of asparagus for first this year.

Merrill worked at Horton’s. Washed clothes. Sent firemen $50 donation for card. We took plants to cemetery in evening. We went over to Aunt Maude’s. She is having trouble with a rash. Merrill set out tomato plants.

We went to church 44, and Sunday School 37. Kathy Kerr Carpenter preached. Cloudy and cold. Sackets Bank took over all top honors at Darien Lake band rally. Won over 16 bands.
