Sun out a little. I’ve been up but not dressed. Can hardly walk. Watched parades on TV. Very good. Rebekah and Odd Fellows float won merit award. Dwayne Thompson died of heart attack.

UMW at Parsonage at 1:30 PM for first time. I called Dr. Siegel. He said to take 8-10 Aspirin a day. Merrill went over town for groceries. Wrote Vern’s. Snowing in PM.

Merrill took down tree and decorations. He and Bill burns took down church manger. Got County Tax notice, $507.26. Up $30. Social Security up 3.1% or $10. and $5.00 for us.

Sunny for first day in ages. Sent for fuel rebate. Sent Ken card. Dwayne’s memorial at 3 PM. Washed clothes. Margaret Kiechle brought me card from UMW.

Merrill went to church, 53 out. Jim, Patty, and kids here in PM and supper. Got their Christmas gifts. Snowed in morning and again in evening.

Ken’s birthday. Very stormy again. Snow blower won’t start. Some school closed but Philadelphia opened after 2 weeks vacation.

Very cold, -20° over night. Sunny all day. Talked with Mary. She is doing okay. Merrill went to store for milk.

-22° over night. Sunny. Vern called from city at supper time. He and Dan had eye appointments. No Rebekah’s. June R called. her car quit at Agway. Merrill got it going in evening.

Sunny but windy. Warmer. We went for groceries. First I’ve been out since December 27th. Tired when I got home. Merrill cleaned church walks. Got cards from Alice and Sharon and Larry Patchen.

Snowing again. I called Charlie Covel at Mills. Merrill called Sixberry. Got letter and $10 from Florence and Earl. Florence fell and hurt her shoulder. Lonny White real bad in Mercy Hospital.

Vern called. They got here about 7:30. Boys working so couldn’t come earlier. Merrill called Ken Sixberry. He didn’t come. Washed clothes.

Merrill went to church, 67 out. Vern, June, and I didn’t go. Jim’s came for dinner. June brought port chops, apple sauce, etc. Patty brought dessert. They gave us a just great photo album of our anniversary party. Over 100 pictures.

Very cold overnight -10°. Merrill shoveled part of driveway.

-25° over night. Cold all day. Got card from Vern’s. Gladys Lamon’s 76th birthday. Merrill called her. administrative Council meeting, 16 out.

-28° over night. Sunny and cold all day. Audrey called from hospital. Hollis and Lori Hanson have baby girl, Hillary Nicole, 8 lb. 1 oz, born today.

Got my hair done, $6.00. Got groceries. Warmer and sunny. Blue Cross up $13.44 this quarter. Merrill drained pipes at parsonage. One is frozen.

PPR meeting at Philadelphia. My first one as chairman. 8 present. Good meeting. Ken Sixberry came to fix snow blower, $15.00 Needed a new condenser. Much warmer today, 40°

Still thawing. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors.

Merrill went to church, 65 there. I didn’t go as my arthritis real bad. 50° and cloudy. Raining in evening. Very foggy in evening. Joyce Griffin is coming back to our United Methodist Church.

Martin Luther King Day. First time. Merrill checked basements at church. Raining all day. Snow going fast.

Snowed some over night. Merrill went over town. Paid phone bill. Not a bad day.

Jim’s 18th anniversary on police force. Much warmer but cloudy. Got Blue Cross checks but didn’t pay much. Rev Colin here in PM.

We went to city. Got 2 lamp shades. Tired me out. We had a flat tire at Zayers parking lot. first one in a long time. Merrill went over town.

We went for groceries in AM. June called from city. Vernon at Dr. Scanlon with eye infection. Had it a week.

Merrill went to dump. He helped at church. Washed clothes. Very windy. Got letter from Juanita. Hollis and Lori have baby girl. Juanita having eye trouble. Detached retina. Got first HEAP rebate notice, $340. Made chili and cake.

We went to church, 62 out. First I’ve been since December 22. Eleanor called from House of Good Samaritan. Roberta had appendicitis operation this morning. Snow Fest ends tonight. June here in PM. Leslie called in evening. All okay. Elmer moved into Leon’s house.

Snowing again. Cold. Bad south of us. Eleanor called in evening. Roberta doing okay. Sharon and Larry Patchen had baby girl. Alisha Marie, 10 lb.

Challenger space ship explodes in take off, 7 killed. One a teacher from New Hampshire. Watched it on TV all day. Called Roberta.

Snowing. Bad Adams way. Merrill cleaned driveway. Roberta called from hospital. She’s feeling better today. Vern’s appointment with Dr. Scanlon at 4:00 PM. Trustee’s meeting on insurance with Mr. Gleason at parsonage. All there.

Merrill paid taxes, $507.26. Roberta called. She went home from hospital today. Sunny and warmer.

Snowy in AM. but sunny in PM. Warmer. We went for groceries in AM. We watched memorial for astronauts on TV from Texas Space Center. Merrill went over and rang church bell in memory at 7:30.
