Had Buick inspected. Had to have headlight and wiper, $23.28. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Hot and muggy. Rev. Kerr-Carpenter called about church keys. Frieda here with key. Jeff Paro passed his driver’s road test.

Reception for Lori and Holly Hanson at Sandy Creek Fire Hall. They were married at 11 AM in the Methodist Church. We stopped at Florence and Carl’s. Also stopped at Orv’s but they had taken him to Ogdensburg last night. Stopped at Beulah’s. Terrible storm at Adams. Ate supper at snack bar in Philadelphia.

Rev. Colin Kerr-Carpenter’s first service at Evans Mills and Philadelphia. Church at 9 AM Only 28 there. We had dinner with Aunt Maude. A good visit.

Jolie’s 14th birthday. We went for groceries in AM. Vern and June here for supper on way from trip to New England states and mountains. Raining most of day. Water off over town from 8-5.

Patty leaves for California. Merrill put stuff on car for rust. He got a cramp in his leg doing it.

Jim called. Patty got off okay. Vern and June at airport to see her off. Nice day but cool. Merrill mowed lawns. His leg quite sore. Quaker days start with Faron Young Show. Audrey called. Patty had a good flight.

Jim, Joel, Jill, and kids from YMCA are at Waterfun Village. We went over to Quaker Days in PM. Jim brought Jill and Joel. We went over town. Kids rode on the rides.

Haggerty Reunion at Wolcott Beach. We didn’t go. Aunt Maude went with Loren and Vera Gelson and Jim. 60 some there. We went to church, 44 there. Cloudy and rainy. Bea Clark not good. Jim and Jolie came for Joel and Jill. We all went to parade over town. Very good. Jim’s here for supper.

Don and Juanita’s 35th anniversary. I washed clothes. Terrible rain in late afternoon. Lightning storm. Got letter from Uncle Berl’s lawyer and copies of his will. He left boys and I jewelry and money. To me, $300.00. Belile’s are camping.

Got my hair cut at Jim’s, $5.00. Merrill painted rust spots on car. I wrote Vern’s. Pres. Reagan coming good from his colon cancer operation. Talked with Aunt Maude. She’s tired from Reunion.

Merrill painted lawn furniture, trellis, window sills, etc. Sent letter back to Berl’s lawyer. I mended with sewing machine. Nice day but cool breeze. Merrill got hair cut. I baked cookies.

June’s here in morning. Her haying is going good. Merrill stained patio floor. Sent Marion Parker card at hospital. Elgin, Carmy, Olive, and Wilamina dropped in. Here about 2 hours. Olive’s mind is bad.

Got card from Patty from California. She’s having a great time. We walked down to housing project in evening. They are starting second building. Are putting roof on first building already. Just started it this week.

Hazy and foggy today. Debbie Gettering’s wedding at church. I washed clothes. June R came after Merrill to get her tractor going. Starter locked on it. Carl Scee called. Dorothy home from hospital.

We went to church, 36 out. Welcome party at Evans Mills church for Collin and Kathy Kerr-Carpenter from 2-4. We went, about 50 or 55 there. Very nice. Gave them desk clock. I went to funeral home for Carleton Alton in Theresa in evening.

Patty gets home from California at 5:25 today. Jim and kids met her plane. Merrill was bearer at Carleton Alton’s funeral. I didn’t go. Nice today but cool and windy all day. Had green beans from garden. I have diarrhea bad.

We went to fair. All very nice. We went to Sackets. Jim painted kitchen white while Patty was in California. Looks so pretty. I got groceries for our Ice Cream Social at Big M. Beautiful day. They are putting windows on housing on corner.

Sent Don card. Philadelphia named as a site for 801 housing today. We went for groceries in AM. Canned green beans. Got card from Juanita. Wrote Vern’s. Hot and humid. Good breeze. Ate supper on picnic table outside.

Don’s 62nd birthday. Rained hard. Darcy went to Carthage Hospital by ambulance. She fainted in pool.

I washed clothes. We went over town at noon. Got trouble light for Don. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s. She gave me a puffy pillow. Very pretty. Merrill helped at Belile’s on garage wall about all day.

Merrill and Bill Mowers took old piano apart in church basement. Chipmunks driving us crazy. Plugged more holes in back of dryer in laundry room.
