Tug Hill Tourathon. I washed clothes. Windy, 40°. Joey here selling cards. Countryman girls here selling candles for Senior class. I made apple pie.

We went to Sunday School, 40 out, and church 60 there. A nice sunny day but only up to 20° all day. I talked with Evelyn Hall.

Sent ads for CEC sale to Times and Town and Country. Snowing hard again. Some schools closed early. Very bad driving. Mail went but paper man didn’t go.

Still snowing and windy. School opening delayed two hours. Stormed off and on all day. Got two Times papers tonight. Audrey called. Jim’s all okay. their wood getting low.

Rev. Dick Graves at church 7:30. About 50 out. Dick is very good. Sunny all day but only 27°. Got letter from Beulah Macklin.

We went for groceries in AM. Merrill helped at Horton’s in PM. Nice today but cold wind. No UMW tonight.

Raining. Merrill sent card and picture of Christian Education Center to Fort Drum. Price: $30,000. He checked CEC for water. Rev. Salisbury and Rev. Bea left for 3 days of meetings at Marcy. June T. planned to attend it also.

Sunny and warmer. Washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. I made cheesecake. Joey’s 11th birthday. Gary in New york City and Linda at Horseheads. They both got home in evening. Left Friday evening.

Today would have been Uncle Berl’s 92nd birthday. We miss him so much. We went to Sunday School and church, 45 there. Douglas Ido preached. School principal of Evans Mills. Very good. Ministers are at Marcy retreat. Great day. Many out walking.

Merrill saw his first robin this year. Rained. Merrill went over to put 2nd pump in parsonage basement. I feel a lot better today.

Church at Mills at 7:30. Movie, “Kevin Can Wait”. Rebekah’s. I went to lodge. Ciel Allen, 77 died today in Mercy Hospital.

We went for groceries in AM. We went to funeral home in PM for Ciel. June R called. Her cousin had phone put in. Audrey called in evening. Jolie and Jill are coming out tomorrow. I called folks for food for Ciel.

Dr. Sommers, 11:45. Filled one tooth, $22.00. Got eye drops. We went to Sackets for girls. Had supper there. Car hit pole by Trices at 1:19 AM. They put in new pole for night. Power back on at 8 AM. Vivian over to use phone.

Nice sunny day. Merrill took garbage. He went over to church and got covered with paint. Wayne and Harry painting. I made pies. Merrill got letter from Gambles. They will give him a new blower starter free. Girls played with Darcy’s kids.

We went to church, 47 there. Went to Sunday School too. Jim’s came for girls. Here for supper. St. Patrick’s Day. There was a bad tornado in Venice Florida this morning. Gehm’s live there. Snowing about all day.

Sunny but colder. Ground white. Sent Claude Simonds card in Mercy Hospital. He went in yesterday. Merrill put “For Sale” sign on CEC. We called Vernon’s in evening. Tornado less than 1/2 mile from Gehm’s. No damage there.

We went to Carthage for blower starter. I got Merrill a Timex watch at Ames for his birthday, $21.62. Wrote Melba and Elmer. Got letter from Vern’s.

Church at Philadelphia, 7:30. Bea’s daughter sings. Very nice. About 30 there. Claud Simonds has cancer. Aunt Maude went to church with us.

Sunny, but cold. We went for groceries in AM. I called Leah at city. I went to Aldersgate meeting at Adams with Rev. Salisbury and Marilyn Garbut from Mills in evening. Got home at 9:30. Merrill got cards and letters. The state cut trees on Main Street. Philadelphia looks bare.

Merrill’s 76th birthday. I gave him his watch. Leslie called him. I made molasses oatmeal cookies. Great day. Warm.

I washed clothes and hung them on line outside. Nice day. Got up to 50°. Sent Eleanor card, and letter. Dilly Hanson’s husband, Gordon Wills, 60 committed suicide yesterday.

We went to Sunday School and church, 67 there. Tammy and Rocky Slates baby baptized. I called Kay Hanson. Dilly not going to funeral home or funeral. Brenda called in AM. Want us to come out to sugar bush. Called Jim’s. Delores called and we talked for an hour.

Wrote Vern’s. Merrill met at church with Frank Robbins in AM. They worked all day on heat runs. We went to Administrative Council at parsonage, 10 out. Mike R moved out today.

We went out to Lorraine. Gloria and Jim Collins here with their land petition. Had lunch at Don’s. Juanita and Donnie’s birthdays. We spent PM at Brenda and Bill’s sugar bush. Got half gallon maple syrup, $10. It is $18 a gallon. Got letter from Vern’s. They have 1980 Plymouth small car now.
