Quaker Days at Philadelphia. UMW had bake sale. I made 5 dozen cookies. Frog jumping contest. Joel was in it. He had a good day. Evelyn here in evening. Jim came here and spent the night. First time here over night.

My throat real bad. Coughed all night. Merrill went to store and got me Vicks cough syrup and cough drops. June R was here in evening. She can’t meet farm payment. We canned 7 quarts of green beans.

We went to church, 33 out. A beautiful day. Rev Salisbury gave Merrill recognition in service for all he does for the church. Merrill has bad cold. Jim, Patty, kids here for supper and evening. Kids went swimming in Belile’s pool.

Car to garage for window molding. No charge. Took soft drinks back to store. Paid bills from social. Groceries cost $50 at Big M. Jim here in evening. He had been to Horton’s farm to visit “Vision Quest” wagon train encampment.

Linda Belile leaves for training at Fort Bragg. Gone 3 weeks. We got groceries. Joe Healy took our station wagon to his place. Wrote Vern’s. Very hot and humid. Vision Quest wagon train very impressive but sad. Merrill ordered load of wood.

We went to city. Merrill renewed certificate. Got eye drops etc. at Fays. Very hot and humid. June R here. Paid more on January payment. She is behind seven payments. Wrote Vern’s.

We got Dodge from Joe’s but it is leaking oil so we took it back, cost $100. He replaced timing gear. We went for groceries. Merrill washed car for first time. Still very hot and humid.

Hamilton brought load of logs, $220. We went to Mills so I could renew certificate. Merrill went to bank at Philadelphia to deposit check. I wrote items for church newsletter and left it at Rev. Salisbury’s. George and Joey took Allan to Delaware.

We go to Vern’s and Country Faire in Minetto. Got there about 2 PM. We went around by Don’s first. Lots going on there. Faire very nice. Committee from Philadelphia toured churches to look at models. Thunder storm during night.

Wrote Uncle Berl. Merrill went to dump with Dodge. Transmission not right. Merrill cleaned at church. We went for groceries. Rained hard in AM. Vivian brought us cantaloupe from their garden.

Family picnic at Bill and Brenda’s, 26 there. A nice time despite showers. Patty and kids went with us. Jim left for MAZE program at Portaferry for week. Administrative Council meeting tomorrow about CEC. Jill came home with us.

Trustees meeting. They signed agreement with [Verg. New and (?)] Hopkins Gallery for $26,750. Eleanor got here at noon. She, Jill and I went to Kessel’s for cheese curd. We stopped at Gouverneur. I was sick on way home. Felt better in evening. Eleanor here all night.

Finance Committee Meeting at parsonage. Jill and I went. Decided to have public supper. Eleanor left after breakfast. Had to pick up Tammy in city. Both work today. Marty over in PM. Rev. Salisbury had her first great grandson last night in Pulaski.

Randy and Elaine’s (Horton) 5th anniversary. Beautiful summer day. We took Jolie down to Brancatella’s. Tina came up here to spend night. Brought pizza. Elmer, Melba, Lynette and Leon here. Leon at Fort Drum for Reserve training.

We went to church. Jolie and Tina B went with us, 31 out. I gave finance report. Rev. Bea’s daughter sang. Just great. Jim’s came out with passenger bus. Tina went home about 4 PM. Kids went swimming at Belile’s pool in PM.

Merrill mowed lawns. Look nice, really green. I baked cookies and angel food cake. Made chocolate butterscotch toppings. June and Susan here in PM. Stormed terrible in PM. Marty here. We went for groceries. Jim, Patty, and kids went to Waterfun Village.

Clinic: Blood pressure 162/102. Merrill’s is 126/75. Aunt Maude went also. Darcy was over to show me her new clothes. Today is Gary Belile’s 47th birthday. Linda is 35. Merrill cut wood all day. School started today.
