Dr. Summers at 10 AM. Had impression made to repair denture. Still cold and cloudy. Some sun. In 40’s.

UMW District meeting at Beaver Falls UM Church. I didn’t go. We went for groceries and to bank. Asked to have our Social Security checks mailed to Philadelphia bank. Merrill mowed lawn for first time this year. Got letter from June.

Carol’s party by Cheryl at 10 AM. Successful Living Party, religious articles. I ordered a red large print living Bible. Raining all day.

Cloudy and cool Washed clothes. Merrill went to landfill. Stopped at June’s for post hole digger. June here in evening with part of farm payment.

Woman’s communion breakfast at Bethany. We went to Sunday School and church, 43 out. We went to Jim’s in PM. Had supper with them. Men split wood. Tracy helped.

A beautiful day. In the 70’s. We went to city for patio lumber at Grossman’s. Got $126.33 worth. Got garden hose and eye drops, $9.32 now. I called Extension office about spruce trees. Said it was wind burn.

Raining. New York State man called about spruce trees. Said same thing as Cooperative extension man said. Winter dehydration, warm wind, frozen roots. Can’t get enough moisture. Sent Jim and Pat anniversary card and note. Got letter and pictures from June. Very good.

Merrill started work on patio. Audrey called. Jim’s back seems better. Cold all day and rainy by spells. Rebekah’s, 6 out. We went for groceries. I made cheese cake for banquet.

Jim and Patty’s 15th anniversary. Got dentures with Dr. Sommers, 10:30, $77.00 repair. Mother and Daughter banquet at Fire Hall. Very nice. School chorus sang. Cathy brought me home from banquet.

Merrill worked at patio. He went to Mills for board and cement. He cleaned church in morning. Raining in late PM. I roasted turkey. Jeff and Marty Paro gave me rose bush.

Mother’s Day. We went to Sunday School and church, 79 out. Jim’s and Audrey here for dinner and PM. Nice day together. Cold wind. Jim’s brought me mum plant. Audrey gave me flowers. We had birthday cake for Patty.

Carol brought my new large print Living Bible, $22.35 from Cheryl’s Successful Living party. Merrill mowed lawns. Cold and cloudy. I got a card from Ruth Eggleston from Florida.

Patty’s 37th birthday. Louise Preston and Patsy fly home from Florida. Ruth and Bill drove back.

We had first asparagus from garden. Also first rhubarb this spring. We cleaned store room upstairs. Cold, cloudy and rainy day. Merrill got check for $302.78 from State for church land.

We went to city for iron railing and stain for patio. Got tomato and cabbage plants and red geraniums for cemetery. All, $179 each. Steve called in evening. He and Gail coming tomorrow night.

Armed Forces Day. We went up to Fort Drum. Over 10,000 people there. Steve and Gail got here about 7:15.

We went to Sunday School and church, 49 there. Steve and Gail went to church. Aunt Maude went to Syracuse to see her sister Carrie. I went to Theresa to a shower for Patty Bray (Dennis Haggerty), about 30 there. Steve and Gail left after dinner. Merrill painted iron railings.

We put iron railings on patio. It is so nice now. Thelma S and Leona Bush stopped by awhile. A beautiful day. Everyone out walking. Bill Preston got home tonight from Florida.

Trustee’s meeting. They talked about church addition. Froze first asparagus. Cloudy and muggy day, 80’s. Washed white clothes. Merrill mowed lawns. We ate lunch on the patio for first time. I love it. Got letter and negatives from June.

Rebekah’s, only 5 out. Bank robbery. Got $17,000.00. Vi was in bank. Rained all day. Merrill fixed faucet at church and went to Library. Philadelphia bank was held up while he was over there. Audrey called. Jim is some better. He is taking vitamin C I gave him. Church Conference starts.

Sunny. Lee Hall, 76 died last night. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM for first building of fence.

Merrill helped Horton’s get heifers in AM. Built fence in PM. They found car used by bank robbery in Theresa. We took plants to cemetery in evening. Called at Grant Hall for Lee in evening. Aunt Maude went with us. Made cake for Halls. Froze more asparagus. Church conference ends.

Memorial Day. Raining. Most all parades canceled. Merrill went down to June’s before he went to Horton’s to help move cattle. Melissa Horton’s 2nd birthday. Merrill didn’t work in PM. Watched burial of Viet Nam unknown vet in Arlington cemetery.

Administrative Council, 18 out. Started plans for selling CEC for building on church. Jim went to Syracuse to see doctor. Vern’s here on way to Potsdam. June R and Laura Ridsdale’s birthdays. Sent Blue Cross claim.

Howard and Evelyn’s 32nd anniversary. Eclipse of the sun today, 12 to 1 PM. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Audrey called. Jim may have dye and CAT scan later. Vern spent night in city. He has meeting in morning.
