Windy. We went for groceries. Saw Pat, Terry and Deanne at store. Terry has new job at Schrimerhorn Boats. Starts Monday. Sent light bill. Joey was over selling pens for scouts. Jeff Meeks 18th birthday.

Terrible wind last night. Blew down part of Belile’s elm tree by our garage. Raining all day but warm. Aunt Maude called and invited us to dinner Sunday. Gladys and Clarence Lamon’s 50th wedding anniversary.

Ground covered with 2 inches of wet snow this morning and snowing in AM. Merrill went over to check water in CEC basement. Merrill cleaned floors. I called Jim’s in evening.

Nice day today. Still snow on ground, Gone by PM. We went to church, 57 out. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s for lunch afterwards. Jim and Explorers helped look for body of Red and Black football player.

Merrill helped take Sunday School papers to Carthage, 3 ton. Another load to go next Monday. Cloudy and cold. Patty brought Jill and Joel out to stay until Thursday. She stayed for supper.

Ground white with snow again and still snowing all day. Very slippery. Lots of accidents. Had chicken for supper.

Still very wintry. Aunt Maude and Merrill went for free cheese at Legion. Merrill and kids went for groceries. Got letter from Vern’s. He has cold. We had pizza for lunch.

Got $25.00 check from Blue Cross for Dr. Scanlon. Sunny today in AM but snow in PM. We took Jill and Joel home and brought Jolie back with us. Had bulb put in signal light at George Sepko’s. Jolie went over to Darcy’s in evening.

Sunny and warmer. We went for groceries. I made apple pie. Washed clothes. Merrill hung then outside.

Cloudy. Baked cookies, pies, and bread. Washed clothes. Jolie hung them outside. Jolie and I had pizza. Merrill cleaned church. Jolie and I walked up to diner for ice cream cones.

Daylight saving time starts. Raining. We went to church. Jolie went with us, 62 out. Lights at church bothering. Shut power off. Jim, Patty and Joel came for Jolie. Here for supper.

Snowing again most of day. Merrill went with Horton’s to take paper to Carthage, over 3 ton. Started letter to Vern’s. Agway here with fuel oil. Took 147 gallons at $104 per gallon. Our wood has been gone for a month.

50th anniversary dinner for Gladys and Ted Lamon at Partridgeberry Inn. Their anniversary was April 15. Very nice time and delicious sit down beef dinner, 22 present. We went to church. Best sermon yet, 58 out. Rained in evening. Women’s Communion breakfast at city. 63°

More rain. windy. Cleared in PM. Got very hot, 80°. Thunder storm in evening. Tornadoes bad in places. Boonville had bad one. Strong earthquake in California. Darcy and Joey here. Brought me wild flowers.

Nice day. Merrill washed kitchen woodwork. I washed bedding. Merrill cleaned church. He took our crib over to use for nursery on Sunday. It is 48 years old. I got nice card and letter from June and Vern. Joey brought me more wild flowers.

Friday the 13th. Steve gets out of college for summer. Vern went after him in morning. They stopped here for lunch. I made cupcakes and bread. A great day, 75°. Merrill burned pile of brush and worked in garden for first. Carl Scee called.

Don Gehm’s 72 birthday, also Rev. Cameron’s, 70. Children’s Sunday School Service at church. Very good. 95 present. Audrey called. Jim helping look for evidence in attack on Sacket’s woman. Bill and Louise Preston back from Florida.
