Windy. We went for groceries. Saw Pat, Terry and Deanne at store. Terry has new job at Schrimerhorn Boats. Starts Monday. Sent light bill. Joey was over selling pens for scouts. Jeff Meeks 18th birthday.

Terrible wind last night. Blew down part of Belile’s elm tree by our garage. Raining all day but warm. Aunt Maude called and invited us to dinner Sunday. Gladys and Clarence Lamon’s 50th wedding anniversary.

Ground covered with 2 inches of wet snow this morning and snowing in AM. Merrill went over to check water in CEC basement. Merrill cleaned floors. I called Jim’s in evening.

Nice day today. Still snow on ground, Gone by PM. We went to church, 57 out. Stopped at Aunt Maude’s for lunch afterwards. Jim and Explorers helped look for body of Red and Black football player.

Merrill helped take Sunday School papers to Carthage, 3 ton. Another load to go next Monday. Cloudy and cold. Patty brought Jill and Joel out to stay until Thursday. She stayed for supper.

Ground white with snow again and still snowing all day. Very slippery. Lots of accidents. Had chicken for supper.

Still very wintry. Aunt Maude and Merrill went for free cheese at Legion. Merrill and kids went for groceries. Got letter from Vern’s. He has cold. We had pizza for lunch.

Got $25.00 check from Blue Cross for Dr. Scanlon. Sunny today in AM but snow in PM. We took Jill and Joel home and brought Jolie back with us. Had bulb put in signal light at George Sepko’s. Jolie went over to Darcy’s in evening.

Sunny and warmer. We went for groceries. I made apple pie. Washed clothes. Merrill hung then outside.

Cloudy. Baked cookies, pies, and bread. Washed clothes. Jolie hung them outside. Jolie and I had pizza. Merrill cleaned church. Jolie and I walked up to diner for ice cream cones.

Daylight saving time starts. Raining. We went to church. Jolie went with us, 62 out. Lights at church bothering. Shut power off. Jim, Patty and Joel came for Jolie. Here for supper.

Snowing again most of day. Merrill went with Horton’s to take paper to Carthage, over 3 ton. Started letter to Vern’s. Agway here with fuel oil. Took 147 gallons at $104 per gallon. Our wood has been gone for a month.

Snow all gone. Cleaned dining room. Merrill and Claude worked at wiring at church after 3:30 PM. Sent Vern’s letter.

Merrill went to city for new electric box for church. Haley’s, cost $147.00. Merrill worked at church all PM. Claude helped. A beautiful day, 60’s.

Linda Belile left for reserves in Virginia. Merrill finished wiring meter at church in morning. We cleaned bedroom. Beautiful day. In 70s. Thunder storm in early evening. Sent money for Times.

We went for groceries in AM. Cloudy. Merrill washed car.

Jim and Explorers working Autorama at city today and tomorrow. Sent Pat Eggleston card at Bay Hospital. Washed. Thunder and lightning in evening. Dexter Pitkin’s farm auction on Lyman Corner, My birthplace.

50th anniversary dinner for Gladys and Ted Lamon at Partridgeberry Inn. Their anniversary was April 15. Very nice time and delicious sit down beef dinner, 22 present. We went to church. Best sermon yet, 58 out. Rained in evening. Women’s Communion breakfast at city. 63°

More rain. windy. Cleared in PM. Got very hot, 80°. Thunder storm in evening. Tornadoes bad in places. Boonville had bad one. Strong earthquake in California. Darcy and Joey here. Brought me wild flowers.

Mother and daughter banquet at Fire Hall, about 125 there. Very nice. Patty and Jill came for it. Darcy went with us. John Oberton died today, 69. Washed.

Nice day. Merrill washed kitchen woodwork. I washed bedding. Merrill cleaned church. He took our crib over to use for nursery on Sunday. It is 48 years old. I got nice card and letter from June and Vern. Joey brought me more wild flowers.

Dustin Douglas Drake’s first birthday. Merrill went to dump. He stopped at Hall’s and Ridsdale’s. Bobby Graham working for Hall’s since Terry left. We went to town for groceries. Warm and windy. Got card from Jim’s.

Mother’s Day. Raining. We went to church, 66 out. Jim, Patty and kids here for supper. Jim and Pat went to Syracuse shopping yesterday. Jim took Sergeant’s. test yesterday also. Colder in evening.

Raining and some snow flurries. Lazy day. My arms hurting all day. Sent Blue Cross and Sears payment for paint.

Jim and Pat’s 14th anniversary. We went to city in AM. Got fertilizer and oil etc. Raining. Got eye drops, 4%, $8.64

Merrill mowed lawns for first time this year. Washed clothes. Cloudy day. Rebekah’s. I made cheesecake. 10 out to lodge.

Sunny and warmer. Sent Patty birthday card and $5.00 check. Merrill ran cleaner. Vern came about 9:30 to spend night. He just returned from Albany in AM. UMW District meeting at Mannsville. I didn’t go.

Friday the 13th. Steve gets out of college for summer. Vern went after him in morning. They stopped here for lunch. I made cupcakes and bread. A great day, 75°. Merrill burned pile of brush and worked in garden for first. Carl Scee called.

A beautiful day, 74°. We were outside all day. Got storm windows out and put on screens. Went to store in evening. Got garden stuff, $14.00. Linda B got home from reserve training. Washed clothes.

Patty’s birthday, 36. Cloudy and raining. We went to church, only 47 there. Belile’s cut down rest of elm tree. Merrill helped them.

My arthritis bad today. Cloudy and rainy. Merrill helped fix pipe at Horton’s. Marie Gleason and Jeffrey Ambrose have baby girl, Danielle Nicole, born today.

Sunny. cold wind. We cleaned upstairs. Washed curtains and bedding. Mrs. Earl (Sina) Mosher, 92 died today.

Nice today. Washed more curtains. Merrill mowed the lawns. He worked in garden with tiller.

I made fruit cocktail cake to take to Mosher’s. Merrill went to Carthage with Howard. Rainy. We went for groceries. Wrote Vern’s.

Rainy and cold. Merrill planted dahlias.

Armed Forces day. Merrill planted peas. Merrill went to landfill and cleaned church on way back. Francis Mosher returned my cake pan. Washed. Belile kids in pool for first time this year. Marty brought baby chicks to show us. Mike Morosco here.

Don Gehm’s 72 birthday, also Rev. Cameron’s, 70. Children’s Sunday School Service at church. Very good. 95 present. Audrey called. Jim helping look for evidence in attack on Sacket’s woman. Bill and Louise Preston back from Florida.

Administrative Council at CEC, 18 present. Good meeting. Francis Bryant and Margaret Heedon present to talk about Evangelical meeting. Merrill planted sweet corn. I froze first package of asparagus.

We went to city for tomato and cabbage plants and plants for cemetery. Got stair carpet at Fays. Merrill got work pants. I got three summer girdles. Merrill planted rest of corn. Talked with Patty. Her broken toe still bad.

Merrill worked at Horton’s building fence for first this year. 5 hours. June Ridsdale here in PM. I went to Rebekah’s, 8 there. Church Conference starts in Utica.

Carrie Thompson age 85 entered Samaritan Keep to live. We went for groceries. Merrill worked at Horton’s in PM. I sent for coat and bra to Lane Bryant. Merrill mowed side lawn when he got home.

Clinic: Merrill’s blood pressure 136/74 blood is 16. Mine 158/90, blood 14. We got groceries. Nice day but cool wind. Merrill went to Lafargeville with Carl and Randy.
