UMW at parsonage. Very nice meeting, 19 there. Merrill helped at Horton’s all day driving tractor at Carl’s mother’s. I went for groceries. Lazy day. My arthritis hurts.

I called Steve at Potsdam. He likes it great. Sounded great. Bus fare to Philadelphia is $4.25. I called bus depot. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Manure spreader broke again. David Congdon stopped in awhile. Great day. Real warm.

Church at 11:15 again, 65 out. No company today. Hot, 90°. Had a pork roast for supper. Tommy Kavanaugh died in Syracuse of bee sting. He was 47, has 2 boys and 2 girls.

Church Evangelical meeting at Pulaski, 7:30. Catherine, Alice, Jane, Bea and 5 from Mill went. 150 present. Vern and June there, also Larry Corey. Merrill helped build fence at Carl’s. Merrill finished mowing lawn.

Agway stuff arrived, $30.84 (peas, peaches, cherries) Rebekah election, 10 at lodge. Same officers elected. Merrill took car to Joe’s for wheel bearing, $64.60. Mary called. Lorraine has been critical but is improving. she is out of ICU.

UMW District Meeting at Pulaski. None from Philadelphia went to it. Lorraine Pickert called from hospital. She is feeling much better. Steve is at Star Lake for a weekend with Focus program. Merrill washed and put on storm windows. Beautiful day in the 70’s

Cyanide found in Tylenol cap. Batch found at Fays Drug Store. Sent card and letter to Bea Gehm. Merrill took checks to bank. We canned 7 quarts of carrots. All we had this year. Made chili. Raining.

Rocky and Tammy Slate have baby boy, Benjamin Tyler. Another nice day but cooler. There has been seven deaths from cyanide Tylenol capsules. Cactus has two blossoms. Washed clothes. Merrill finished car. Put stripe on back.

We worked at parsonage all day. Merrill painted porch, cemented wall and garage floor etc. Alice, Sina, and I worked all day on mailing list. We didn’t go to Ponzi’s in evening. They had asked us. Nice day.

Rev. Salisbury left early this morning for Drew University. Unemployment rate is 10.1% in US. Merrill cleaned church and did some work at parsonage. Steve and 4 boys from Potsdam and Clarkson stopped in on way home to Oswego. Wrote Don’s.
