Nice day, but windy. Rained at supper time. We cleaned living room. Washed curtains. Called and made appointment with Dr. Robert’s for June 10.

Clinic. My blood count 14. Blood pressure 134/82. We went up to Horton’s. Elaine and baby got home Monday. Trustee meeting at 7:30. Made plans for bath and laundry. I went. Bob, Mike, Claude, Merrill and Rev. Salisbury.

We went to city. Got toilet at Grossman’s. Got plastic for chair seats. Got my hair cut at Cut and Curl for first, $4.95. Got paint etc. for parsonage. Looked at showers and vanity for parsonage. Got letter from Vern’s. Ivan Hale is in the hospital.

Merrill and Bill measured at parsonage for bath and laundry. Merrill patched walls in kitchen there. He mowed lawns. I cut out plastic for kitchen chairs. Washed clothes. Mary Kavanaugh here. Also Marty.

Fireman’s parade. We took Rev. Salisbury’s washer to flea market. Rev. Barnes helped. Aunt Maude washed my swan. Merrill fixed her broom. I worked at chair seats. Merrill went to Horton’s. Rained all evening.

We went to church, 71 out. Rained all day. Jim’s here for supper. Had lasagna that Patty made. Adam Dorr, 85 died in his sleep.

Merrill and Bill M. laid sub floor at parsonage. Cellar way yet to do. I washed bedspreads and curtains from small bedroom. June Ridsdale here in PM.

Merrill and Bill finished job at parsonage. We cleaned upstairs in PM. Washed clothes. Wrote Vern’s.

I went to Rebekah’s, 10 out. We cleaned our bedroom and waxed upstairs. Merrill worked in garden. Vivian was over. I sent for vendor tax number for church.

Dr. Robert’s, 10:30. I’m to continue Imodium pills. One a day. I didn’t go to Gloria Collin’s shower at Linda’s. Sent sweater set. I went to UMW at Center, 12 there. Candy Houghton showed slides of Italy and Egypt.

Merrill put in new toilet. Has a drip. I made 2 pumpkin pies and chocolate chip cookies. Made a bread pudding. Got checks from June R. Late this month. Carl paid Merrill $300. Merrill went to antwerp for pipes.

Merrill mowed lawns. He cleaned church. We went for groceries. Washed curtains and clothes. Linda Belile left for Kentucky for 2 weeks army training. Merrill ran cleaner. Had first radishes from garden. Strawberries are starting to come.

We went to church, 90 out. Sunday school had church service. Just great. Jim called in PM looking for Patty. He worked Lung Bike-a-Thon. Wrote letters and cards in PM.

Sent Karen $10. Sent Tracy and Jean Baker’s 25th anniversary card. We started kitchen. Washed walls and woodwork. It is ready to paint. Noreen Riley here. Brought $10 for paint. Got letter from Uncle Berl. Sent his picture taken on his 89th birthday.

Dr. Scanlon 1:30. All okay. Pressure 15. got $507.37 worth of materials at Whites for parsonage. Got shower, vanity, medicine cabinet, insulation, lumber, 2×4’s etc. Saved over $130 with sale. Bob and Anne Eggleston laid kitchen floor tile at parsonage in evening.

Randy Horton went with truck and we took our wagon and got rest of stuff at Whites for church. Carl Horton went to Upstate for tests. Merrill helped at Horton’s in morning.

Beautiful day. We painted all day long on kitchen. My arms hurting bad in evening. Washed white clothes. Got letter from June. Sharon and Larry Patckin (?) have baby girl, Michele Lynn, 8 lb. born today.

We finished painting kitchen. Cleaned carpet. Merrill got Father’s day cards from Jim and kids. Cloudy in AM. Merrill got groceries. Merrill picked berries. Took some to Barne’s. Merrill worked in garden.

Got things back in kitchen. Merrill went to dump Stopped at Hall’s. Millicent and Ivan are home from hospital. They are caring for her at home. Howard paid Merrill $47 he owed him for work.

We went to church. Reception for graduates after church. 72 out for it. Jim rode his new Schwinn bike from Sacket’s to here, 27 miles, 2 1/2 hours. Kids here for supper. Had strawberry short cake for first time this year.

Raining. We went to city. Got 2 new front tires at Sears, $136.00 in all. Got bedspread. Got cute pillow for Steve. Merrill painted bathroom white. Prince Charles and Princess Diana have baby boy, 7 pounds, 1 1/2 ounce born today.

Merrill painted outside doors, windows, steps, etc. I painted walls in bathroom, apricot, 1st coat. Merrill mowed lawns in PM. Wayne Hardy, 57 died last night.

Rained hard most of the night. I froze 3 packages of strawberries. Merrill painted bathroom, 2nd coat. Got it settled. It looks so nice. Rebekah’s went to Land and Sea at Black River but I didn’t go. Can’t eat.

Merrill got hair cut. Got oil change and grease job on car. He painted steps and washed car. i washed clothes. We went for groceries. Marty and Joey brought over their report cards to show us.

Steve’s graduation. Cloudy, windy day. We left for Oswego at 3:30 PM. Graduation very nice. 345 in class. Steve 19th highest in class. Clark Trise in hospital with broken heel.

Party at Vern’s for Steve. June’s birthday also. About 25 there. Very nice. Steve got nice gifts. We got home about 11 PM. Boots glad to see us. Stopped at Jim’s for a bit. Linda B got home from Kentucky.

Karen Hanson graduated head of her class. Vern, Steve, and June go to Potsdam for orientation. Aunt Maude and Cheryl got home form Canada. Went on Friday. We went to church, 45 out. Had cook out in evening. Used new hibachi for first. Cheryl brought us Canadian cheese.

Wrote to Cameron’s. Called Don Neuroth about insurance. Merrill painted bench and table. Washed clothes. School budget defeated for 2nd time. Got invite to birthday party for Florence and Earl Yerdon, July 4th.

Carl Horton enters Upstate hospital. Raining. Vern’s and Gehm’s got here about 2 PM. Vern and June went to Potsdam for Steve. He likes he college very much. They were all here for supper. Vern had another car. Theirs is in the garage.

Sun out today. Merrill mowed lawn. Merrill started work at parsonage. Worked at bathroom door. Carl Horton had disc operation.
