Dan at craft show in Syracuse. Vern and June here in PM. Had another unit of blood, third one. They took out drainage tube. June feeling better from rash. Got plant from Ken and Don’s.

Dr. Sarabu said I could go home Thursday. Merrill, Vern, and June here in evening. Brought me new tan blouse. I visited June Shagel from Auburn in room 501. Had therapy twice today. Cheryl Horton called me. Church folks sent me $25 by Merrill. They took out my IV.

I didn’t go home. My back still draining. Called Vern’s. Had staples out. Had therapy treatments and steam treatments. No visitors for my second day since I’ve been here. Had clips out.

Merrill and Vern brought me home from hospital to Vern and Junes’. A dog run in front of car. Nancy Schaffer and Ina Cox visiting at Vern and Junes’. So good to sit at a table and sleep at home again.

Took first shower since operation. Feels so great. Jim, Pat, and kids here. Merrill and Pat went for groceries. Beulah called. Marg talking again. Roy has chance to sell his house. Talked with Aunt Maude. Darcy and Mores girls here.

We washed clothes. Merrill hung them out. Got bill from anesthesia, $624. Got more cards and notes. Called Vern’s in evening. Finally got rid of drainage patch. No more drainage. Got weeks mail today.

Merrill went for groceries. Rained all day. Wrote Dr. Roberts and sent card to Ruth Armstrong and sent $3 to Town and Country. Jim called in evening. Lou Rudes better and stable in Utica hospital from heart attack. Darcy and Joey gave me 3 little glass deer.

Beautiful day. Merrill cleaned church and mowed lawns here. Washed clothes. Hazel S, Cheryl, Vivian, Becky and Kathy here. Also Joey. Vivian brought squash casserole and brown bread. Very good.

Moved here three years ago today. Beulah Macklin’s birthday, 58 years. Kathy here. Brought me watermelon pickles. Jeanie Mae and Shirley here. Brought me sweet peas. Margaret K here. Brought beans and muffins. Elaine, Amanda, and Holly here. Paid Merrill for table.

Lorraine Hall and Kevin Pickets wedding. We went to church but not to the reception. Laura Payne sang. All very nice. Church full. Kathy and David Van Tassel have baby boy born today, 8 pounds and 13 ounces, Ray David. Lou Rudes had pace maker put in.

Had first sweet corn from garden. Everything flooded at Aunt Maude’s. Merrill went to church, 32 out. First time in 4 weeks. Jim, Pat, and kids here in PM awhile. My incision very sore today. George Belile in Carthage hospital for hernia operation.

Merrill went over town to bank and store. Washed clothes. Washed my hair. Got Blue Cross check, $17.83. Eunice Brown and son and wife at Aunt Maude’s. Talked with Eunice. My incision sore in evening.

Go to Vern’s in PM. Stopped at hospital to see Marg. She knew us. Has failed a lot. Cloudy day. Paid car insurance, $123 at Adams Center. Got to Vern’s about 2 PM. Merrill helped Vern put on roof.

9:30 AM appointment with Dr. Ikin, Syracuse. Vern and Steve took us. Everything fine. Stopped at Ken’s on way home. Got home at 4:30. Got Tylenol at Fays. Sure tired when I got home. Got letter from Uncle Berl.

Vern’s and Steve went to Potsdam. Dan stayed here. He and Merrill got cedar lumber at Lanphere’s. Vern’ left about 6 PM. McKeever’s moved their new double home in evening. All the neighbors turned out to watch.

Merrill got hair cut at Theresa. Esther called. Froze corn, 13 packages. Merrill did most of it. Washed clothes. Got letter from Vern’s. June has job offer at Mexico. Sent kids anniversary card, letter and $25 toward phone bill. Called Dr. Roberts office for appointment.

Dr. Roberts. All fine. Blood count 11.5, and blood pressure 120/82. Stopped to see Earl and Florence. Saw Marg. She didn’t respond to us. Went to Sackets for girls. Jim has got a lot done on house. I owe Dr. Ikin $640.

MDA Telethon starts. Jim and Explorers work at it. We went to church, 35 there. Patty, Audrey, and Joel came after girls. Kenny, Brenda, Kim, and Jeff here in PM. Lou Rudes got home yesterday. We went over to Lyla and Jim’s new home in evening.
