We went to city. Got iron and eye drops. Finished Christmas shopping. Very cold most of day. Called Patty from city. Sent more cards. Got several. Got Jill’s gift from Wards. Gave myself B-12 shot in evening. Don’t feel very good.

Packed shut in baskets but I didn’t help. I gave apples for them. Merrill took over Cheryl’s cookies. Got groceries. I worked at Christmas cards all day. Glenda gave me iron shot. Storming in AM. Doris Burlow,[?], 50, Carl’s friend, killed in car accident this morning. She had taken Carl to work.

Wrapped gifts most of day. Merrill put in cement at parsonage and changed candles at church. Sent more Christmas cards. Got several. Wrote Vern’s.

Very cold during night. 10 below. I made chocolate chip cookies and baked pumpkin pie. Got note from Dot. She got our package. Ate the cookies first day.

We went to church, 101 there. Sunday School program in evening, 7:30. We went. Very nice. Only had $65 for Quick’s gift.

Patty called in morning. I fixed box for Glenda and kids. She gave me iron shot. Merrill put last of wood in cellar. Warmer. Sent last Christmas cards to Don and Ken.

Merrill cleaned stove pipes. Gave myself B-12 shot. Merrill went for groceries. Took box of candy to Leah and Claude. Freezing rain in evening.

No Lodge. Candlelight service at Philadelphia church. We didn’t go, driveway full. Snowing and stormy all day. Made pumpkin pies. Washed clothes. Terrible stormy all day. Had our gifts in evening.

Very cold. -20° to -40°. We planned to go to Jim’s but car wouldn’t start so we stayed home. Below zero all day but sunny.

Joe Healy here trying to get car going. Needs new plugs. Merrill paid him $15. Made pop corn balls.

Our Christmas at Vern’s. Jim came after us and brought us home. Great day together. Took our car to Joe’s garage. Fuel pump not working. Got new battery for it at Sears. Boys gave us corn popper. Jim’s kids PJ’s and socks.

Merrill rode to church with Cheryl Horton. I didn’t go. Very tired today. Jim, Pat and kids here for supper. Made pop corn with new corn popper. Gladys and Ted called. Said Carl’s wife was killed in car accident.

Got car home. Works great. Cost $57.25. Warmer. Merrill cleaned pipes again as it was smoking. Glenda gave me iron shot. Gave myself B-12. Felt terrible all day.

Merrill went to store. Got me Welch’s grape juice and Certs to try for arthritis. My arthritis has been bad all day. Very cold.

-15° this morning. I’ve felt horrid all day. Frank and Judy Payne’s 5 year old house burned today. We didn’t do anything for New Year’s Eve this year. Howard and Evelyn called.
