I was sick all night with virus. Was in bed all day. Called patty. Jim stopped in on way from woods.

I feel much better today. Washed clothes. Merrill worked at Carl Horton’s windows. He went over to bank. Rev. Quick, Vi, and Aunt Maude called.

Election Day. Rainy. We voted in AM. I made fried cakes. Glenda gave me iron shot. Merrill finished Horton’s windows. Ronald Reagan won by a landslide.

Got load of wood, $25. I went to clinic. Blood count 12.25. Blood pressure 104/78. I went to Bible Study. Merrill put Horton’s windows in. Snow flurries.

Charge Conference here at Philadelphia. 17 to the covered dish supper and 24 to the meeting. Rev. Owen showed slides. Nice meeting. Got groceries. Stopped at Kathy’s to pick out pictures. Paid her $15.10 for negatives. Washed clothes. Snow flurries.

We went to church, 72 out. Rainy and cold. Jim, Pat and kids here in PM and for supper. Girls had their report cards. Very good. Jill all E’s but one S in resting. Her first report card.

I helped on church newsletter. 6 from Philly and 2 from Mills plus Rev. Quick. We started fires in stove again. Colder, windy and rainy with snow in evening. Met new neighbor, Cathy Paro.

Veteran’s Day. Ground white with snow. No mail. Paper came. Called several about pies for Agway supper.

I went to Bible Study. Merrill went to Theresa to bank and to get spring for car. Barber shop closed. Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. Sent back 6 stuffed toys with girls that I couldn’t sell. Leslie’s birthday, 66.

Got letter from Dr. Roberts and prescriptions. Garage appointment at 10 AM at Healy’s. Had new joints put in car, $10. Washed. Wrote Vern’s. I went for groceries. UMW at Vi’s. 19 there. Nice meeting. Cliff Hamilton brought load of wood. 4 cords of 4 foot long. $175.

Ken and Eleanor’s 34th anniversary. We went to church, 84 out. Aunt Maude sick with cold and couldn’t go. She gave me beautiful beret and scarf set. Jim, Patty, and kids here in PM and for supper. Had chili. Helped with wood. Joel put most of it in cellar window.

Real cold this morning. 11°. Merrill worked at wood all day. I’m very lame and sore all day. Stopped snowing in late evening. Sent for car license, $36.25.

Agway ham dinner. Fed 460 people @ $5. Cleared $763 for each church. Very good. We went. I won first number drawing. Got a $4.99 broom. Looks like winter this morning. 3-4 inches of snow. Bad all over. I made rolls and 2 lemon pies for supper. Washed. Got note from June.

Vern’s appointment with Dr. Scanlon. They got here at 5:30. Stayed all night. Merrill went to Theresa. Got stove pipes. Wrote the Cameron’s. Got hair cut. Merrill cleaned pipes. Changed them some.

Early Thanksgiving dinner together at Jim’s. Vern’s stopped at Sears to get winter tires put on. Had lovely day together. They had birthday cake for me. Gave me 4 Corelle plates and large Corelle bowl. boys gave me paper dishes in morning. Got B-12 shot.

We went to church, 112 out. Took in new members. Gary and Bob Fikes, Betsy Laclair, Oberton’s, Kay Taylor, Mike and Cindy Marosco, Esther Taylor associate member. Merrill put wood down cellar. Gary Belile split rest of our wood with splitter on tractor. I wrote Dot M.

Administrative Council. Only Claude, Minister, Merrill and I there. Open house at school so several went there. i washed upstairs bedding. Rained about all day. Ella Brown, 88 died this morning at Samaritan Keep.

Washed clothes. Cheryl H here. Paid Merrill, $112. Snow flurries. I called in Christmas order to Wards. Called Blue Cross office. Changed Blue Cross policy to cover $200 lab tests. Will cost $12.72 more quarterly. Bad fires in California. 500 homes burned.

No Lodge. Beautiful day but cold. Called in order to Sears for Dan and Steve. Washed Merrill’s work clothes. Thanksgiving Eve service at Mills. We went. Patty called and wanted us to come down tomorrow.

Thanksgiving. We stayed home. Lazy and relaxing day. Watched parade on TV. Merrill cut up rest of wood. All done now. Glenda gave me iron shot. Got first morning Times in 120 years. Didn’t publish yesterday as water main broke.

Rained and froze on during night. Everything covered with sleet. Wrote Vern’s. Sent Blue Cross. We went for groceries in PM. I got card and cross necklace from June Ridsdale. 10,000 died in Italy because of quakes.

They cleaned and decorated church. It snowed hard about all day. Got letter and pictures from Cameron’s. Both look good. Mrs. Cameron has a new piano. B-12 shot.
