Got home from Chamberlain’s at 12:45 AM. Nice time. Lazy day. Watched parades. Slept in. Merrill took bad milk back to store. Howard and Evelyn phoned.

Got tax bill, $262.44 up $27.70. Merrill and Ray took down Nativity at church. Merrill cleaned church. Called Fays twice but drugs didn’t come in. Slippery in morning. Light rain and freezing.

UMW at Diane’s. Leah’s first meeting. 16 out. Druggist at Fays finally located some Imferon for me. Wrote Angie.

Sent Ken card and letter. Went to Fays for stuff for shots, $28. Went to see Marg. Velma there to see her. Called Patty. Cold all day. Glenda Webb gave me iron shot.

Merrill went down to camp with Howard. We went after groceries. Cold wind but nice. Merrill has cold.

Ken’s 60th birthday. Cold but nice. We went to church. Patty called in PM. Jim was trying to get furnace going so they couldn’t come out.

Mrs. Cameron, Alice F, Callie C, Thelma S, left for Florida at 6 AM. Started snowing here at 7:30. Very windy. Called Dr. Roberts about taking 5 cc of iron. Carl and Evelyn Scee called. Their new phone number is 782-4675.

Iron shot. My hips are sure sore. Talked with Marg at hospital. Made vegetable soup. Snowing off and on. Wrote Dot. Sent Buster card.

Oren Barker Jr’s birthday, 59. Don Moores also, 62. I got a $3 check from Blue Cross. Snowing hard. I called drug store. Ordered 5 cc of Imferon. B-12 shot. Rebekah’s. Ginny didn’t come so we didn’t go.

Wrote Beulah H. We went for groceries in morning. Beautiful day. Talked with Marg. She got cast on foot yesterday. Bert Pitkin in Mercy Hospital. Evelyn Scee has infection in her toe. May have it off. Got letter from Uncle Berl and Vern’s.

Icy in morning. Raining and windy. Terrible wind in evening. Merrill went over to parsonage to check on pump. Baked pies, apple and pumpkin. Made cookies, fruit cocktail cake, and 3 pie crusts.

Still windy. Called Bowman’s in Canada in evening. Elgin Black goes into nursing home on Monday. Howard and Evelyn and Dawn here in evening.

Called Marg. She is in room 330 now. Rev Miles Hutchinson’s 92nd birthday this week. We went to church. Aunt Maude took dish of macaroni and cheese to Rev. Cameron. Ladies got to Florida at 10 PM last night. Jim’s here in PM and supper. Jim has cracked rib from basketball last night.

Lazy day. Dark and rainy. Talked with Jane Eb. Carpet for church has been ordered, $1600. CEC only cost $1500. Got letter from Dot M. Talked with Evelyn Scee. Her toe some better.

Iron shot (27 cc’s so far). 4th time Glenda has been here. Sent $32 to Times. Made donuts. No snow anywhere to be seen. Warm and sunny.

B-12. We went to Don’s. Beautiful weather. Stopped at hospital to see Marg. Her foot is bad again. Got eye drops at Fays. Imferon not in yet. Carl called to say they took Evelyn to hospital last night with asthma attack.

Beautiful day again, 50-60°. Marg has been in hospital 3 weeks today. Merrill went for groceries. We went to city in PM for Imferon at Fays, $14.95. Aunt Maude went with us. We went to see Marg. She was having several X-rays.

Father Rev Paul Hagan was killed tonight in accident. Iron shot. Last one of 21 cc series. Glenda also took my blood pressure 172/96. Cloudy, warm day. Merrill went to Canada with Howard and Art for fence posts. I called Marg. She has to have her leg off beneath the knee, right one. Evelyn Scee got home from hospital.

Wrote Dr. Roberts and Vern’s. We went to hospital to see Marg. Todd Ashley’s 5th birthday (Gary). Called Jim’s from city. Jim may have ulcer. Preston’s left for Florida for 3 months. Doreen’s birthday.

Beautiful day. We went to church, 97 out. Great sermon and choirs. Patty called in PM. Jill fell and hit her head. Jim took her to emergency room. She has a concussion.

My left hip so sore. I couldn’t walk on it. Evelyn called Patty for me. Jill is better.

Jim’s 12th year on police force. My hip not so sore today. Got letter from Angie. They have new Chevy Monte Carlo. Talked with Marg. Her operation is Thursday if they can get enough blood for it. Snowing off and on most of day. First in weeks. Father Paul Hagan’s funeral at city.

Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. Terry and Pat H here in evening. Gave myself B-12 shot. Got letter from June. Talked with Marg. She has her operation at noon tomorrow. Spinal. Dr. Peckham. Ground white with snow off and on. Washed. Baked cookies.

Cold last night, 0°. Marg’s operation. We spent most of the day at hospital. Got home at 8 PM. She came through OK but her blood pressure dropped before operation. Took her leg below knee. I had blood tests at lab, $30.95. Got Pro. and Credit. check, $37.45.

Card party at L & C Hall’s. 20 people there. Nice time. We went for groceries. Cold in morning. Below zero. Warmer during day. Talked with Beulah and Marg. She is feeling fine today. Wrote Vern’s.

Lazy day. Tired. Merrill went to dump and he cleaned church. I made lemon pie and salad. Popped corn in evening. Aunt Maude talked with Marg. She slept all day. She had catheter put back in.

Went to church, 110 out. Patty, Jill, and Joel here in PM and supper. Jim had practice. Jolie at Jean’s. Bill, Vi, Edna F, and John left for Florida on tour bus. Patty said Betty Haggerty’s cousin Edith Graves is in room with Marg. Her son is Scee’s neighbor.

Wrote Uncle Berl. Sent Sarah get will card. Also Ruth Schell and Mary Hall. Their brother died. We went to hospital to see Marg. Aunt Maude went with us. Marg had bad day yesterday but better today.

Lois and Joe Lowry came home from Baldwinsville this PM. Beulah Hall had a stroke and she has pneumonia. Went to hospital. A nice day. My arms ache.

B-12 shot. Beautiful day but cold. My arthritis hurts today. I called Marg. She seems good. Merrill paid taxes, $262.44.

Beulah Hall, 83, died at 6 AM. I called Ken’s. Called Evelyn to call Patty about Beulah. Wrote Vern’s. Still cold all day. Sun out all day.

Went for groceries. Baked cookies and cake. Made bean salad and chili. Merrill cleaned with cleaner. Talked with Jim. -5° today during day.

Cold and sunny. Hall family arrived about 11:15. They all had lunch here. Geneva, Bob, Ken, Lois, Cathy, Carl, Marilyn and Rick. David, 17, didn’t come. Went to funeral home in PM and evening. Rebekah had service. Carl, Marilyn, and Rick stayed with us.

Brennon Kavanaugh’s 1st birthday. Beulah Hall’s funeral. Quite a few out. Rebekah’s had dinner for family at Vivian Myers afterwards. We went. Joe, Lois and Carrie also. Carl left about 5 PM. Merrill went to church, 99 out. Had coffee hour after church.

Talked with Marg. She is good. Still cold but nice day. I’ve felt lazy all day. Arms ache. Gave Boots a bath. Merrill went over town to bank and store. Ron’s Big M store had an armed robbery last night at 8:30. $345 taken.

Still cold but warmer in PM. Washed clothes.

Clinic. Aunt Maude and I went. Blood count 12.25. Blood pressure 136/90. Went to see Marg. Got eye drops and medicine and needles. Got Blue Cross check for $15. Got letter from Vern’s. Jim was at hospital. Pauline Garmon Roggie left today to run a store at Lowville. She was at hospital to see Marg.

Week of Prayer and Self Denial at church, 7:30 PM. Aunt Maude and I went. Carol rode home. Also Becky T. About 20 out to it. Wrote Vern’s. Beautiful day, Up to 27° but down to zero in PM.

Still cold but beautiful day. Sink drain partially frozen. Merrill went for groceries. Made pop corn in evening. Talked with Marg. Evelyn S called.

Zero this morning. Up to 25° during day. Sunny. Merrill cleaned floors. Got turkey ready to roast tomorrow. Got stuff ready for dressing. Got card from Bill and Vi from Florida, and thanks you’s from Hall family.

Another beautiful day. We went to church. 106 out. Roasted turkey and dressing. Jim’s didn’t come out as planned.

My arthritis bad today. Can hardly use right hand and arm. Washed colored clothes. Merrill cut up turkey. Merrill and Ray Petrie boarded up church window.

Sent Joel card, note and $5. My arthritis is terrible. No work done. Merrill washed dishes. Snow flurries. Called Marg.

Joel’s 4th birthday. Olympic Games open at Lake Placid today. Watched it on TV. Snowing.

Still snowing off and on. Patty called. Jim’s back is bothering. His knees bother. He’s working. Wrote Mother T. Sent her birthday card. Carl and Evelyn’s 52nd anniversary.

We went over town for groceries. Not a bad day. Howard and Evelyn left for Florida and Nashville. Delles and Pat went with them.

Mother Tryon’s 90th birthday. Dennis Crowner got water pipes to thawed. Charged us $40. $50 in all. Good to have water again. Bathroom drain still frozen. Merrill went to parsonage. Faucet broke in cellar. Snowed some during night.

Dick and Evelyn Scee’s marriage at Fowler today. Nice day. We went to church. Went down to Jim’s in PM. Merrill cut some wood for them. Stopped at hospital to see Marg on way home. Jim’s better.

Snowing off and on all day. Darrel Eggleston hurt in snow mobile accident. Head injury. No mail. Times went. Vacation week at school.

Jill’s 5th birthday. Warmer. I called her birthday into WNC2 radio station. Carl and Evelyn got home from Dicks. Terrible rains continue in California. Lots of mud slides.
