I’ve felt horrid all day. Coughing a lot. Cold, Vern called in evening.

Packed shut-in boxes. I didn’t help. Made fudge and cookies. Have felt better today but coughing.

Dr. Roberts, 2 PM. Gave me 4 cc Imferon. Sat with kids while Patty went to Dr. Renzi at 11 AM. Stopped at Ken’s. Called Juanita. Finished Christmas shopping.

Merrill went for groceries. Wrote Vern’s. Frosted Christmas cookies. Wrapped first gifts. Got note from Dot. She got her Christmas package from us. Mrs. Cameron and Mary Keichel called.

Wrapped rest of Christmas gifts. Warmer, 45°. Merrill cleaned house. Bill and Vi here in evening. We played 7-27 and Pitch.

We went to church, 95 out. Raining. Memorial Service for Eason Simmons in PM. Caroling in evening-Civic League. We didn’t go. Jim, Patty, and kids here in PM and for supper. Quite warm.

Foggy in morning. Made apple pies for tomorrow. Called Vern’s and Jim. Made cake and cup cakes. Rained all day. Went to Christmas Eve service at Philadelphia. 144 out to it. Had our tree, very nice. Got clothes.

Green Christmas here. Raining. Went to Jim’s for dinner. Bob Puffer there also. Vern’s came in PM. All got nice gifts. Vern, June and boy’s came out here for night. We played 7-21. A nice family day.

Vern’s left about 10:30 AM. Gave myself B-12 shot. Tired today. Coughing a lot. Merrill went over town. Pumped out water in CEC cellar.

Dr. Roberts 10:30. Had 2nd iron shot, Imferon. We went to Vern’s for lunch and supper. Got home about 9 PM. Tim Carpenter rode to Philadelphia with us. Marg went to hospital.

Dilly Hanson called in morning to say Jean Hanson, 52 died this morning. Blood clot in bowel, gangrene. Doris Haggerty called. Marg in hospital with sore toe. Wrote Vern’s.

Nice day. Merrill went to dump and stopped at Risdale’s and got groceries. I made rolls for New Year’s Eve. Aunt Maude called. Marg at hospital. Cameron’s saw her. They scraped her toe. [?]

We went to church. Went to Dexter funeral home for Jean. Gave $5 to ambulance fund for Jean. Stopped at hospital to see Marg. Her foot is better. A beautiful day.

Another beautiful day. Almost like summer. Party at Chamberlains. 16 there. Nice time. Wrote Uncle Berl. Got Boots license, $7.50 this year. Jean Hanson funeral at 2 PM. We went. Aunt Maude went with us. A large funeral. Fays didn’t get iron medicine.
