UMW, 15 here. Esther and Marilyn made cheesecake. Merrill worked at Halls. Mary Hall in hospital with her back. Rained all day. Gave myself B-12 shot. Charlie Watts went back to hospital.

Donna cut my hair, $3. Merrill mowed lawns for first time this year. Sent Mary Hall card in Mercy Hospital. Sent letter to Nashville about Mike White. Merrill helped Howard in evening.

Nice day but cold. Gary Belile got home from guard duty at prison. Prison strike ended Friday. Aunt Maude gave me parsnip. Made cheesecake.

We went to church. Aunt Maude had heart spells in church. I took her home. Merrill drove her car home. Orv and Angie came before we got home. Their first visit to our new home. Jim, Pat and kids here for supper. Raining off and on. Called Kathy in evening. Aunt Maude OK.

Rebekah’s. Edna Cross and I on refreshments. Cheese and crackers. 16 out. Merrill worked at Hall’s in evening. Merrill tilled on garden. I cut tree brush. Still hot, windy.

Jim and Pat’s 10 anniversary. Mother and Daughter banquet at Legion. Patty, girls and Jean came to it. Jim and Joel came also. Jim on TV in evening about movie to show kids. Got groceries. Merrill mowed lawns and worked garden. Very hot. Got card and letter from Vern’s.

Still hot, 80°. Washed. baked cookies and pie. Merrill worked all day for Hall’s. He mowed side lawn in evening. Wrote Vern’s.

Warm and raining in late afternoon and evening. Merrill went to help plant oats but only worked 2 hours. We picked asparagus from garden. Got cards from Jim’s and letter from Uncle Berl.

Aunt Maude didn’t go to church. She had another spell this morning. Grand sermon. Vern’s called. Jim, Pat, and kids here for supper. Had asparagus from garden. They brought Merrill daisy plant.

Police Convention starts. Jim and Pat left about 9:15. We got here around 9 AM. Jill and Joel took naps.

Merrill and Jill and Joel walked over town. Patty called in morning. They have nice room. Washed clothes. Appointment with Dr. Scanlon at 3:30. Wants me to have check up. We ate at McDonalds. Kids enjoyed it. Patty’s 32nd birthday.

Merrill and Boots went to philadelphia to mow side lawns etc. Washed clothes. Joel, Jill and I went for walk. Charlie Watts, age 75, died this morning. Jim and Pat called in evening. Merrill went to Fays for Pampers. Joel has had diarrhea.

Dr. Scanlon’s office called, appointment tomorrow. Jim and Pat got home about 3 PM. Patty had stiff neck. They gave us butter dish, gravy boat, and juice jar. We got home at 5:30. Good to be home. Everything OK. Gave myself B-12 shot. I haven’t been giving myself quite enough.

FFA Banquet. Merrill helped on it at 8 PM. John Nevilles farm auction. Eleanor, Tammy, Roberta, Billy, Luke and Mr. Tousant here in evening. Dr. Scanlon at 3 PM. Could find nothing. Vern’s appointment at 4 PM. We ate supper at Sambo’s. Vern paid. Ralph Hogaboom had stroke on May 1st.

Charlie Watts funeral. Merrill took over chairs, tables and salad. Merrill worked on garden. He cleaned church. Mrs. Hale called about papers. I’ve felt horrid all day. So sore. I hate to move.

Gerald Kellar’s, 56, funeral at Adams. We didn’t go. Merrill worked at Hall’s until 3 PM. Feel some better today. Can’t eat. Rebekah’s, but I didn’t go. Jim here in AM. He spoke on child abuse to senior class at Indian River Central School.

Dr. Roberts, 10:30. Blood pressure 150/100. Everything OK. Have to have CBC at Good Samaritan next Tuesday. Stopped at Brenda’s, Don’s, and Marg’s. They have their house for sale. Have lived there 30 years. Called Patty. Florence Yerdon called in evening. Got letter from Beulah Hall.

Susan Lev [?] wedding. Patty called. Wrote Beulah Hall. Thunder storm in morning. Jim and explorers went to camp Porterferry. I made pumpkin pies, rhubarb and strawberry and bar cookies. Also chili. Rained all day.

Had blood tests at hospital. We stopped at Peggy Sepkos. She took us over to Carl and Evelyn’s trailer at Felts Mills, right beside Donna Bucklands [?] Wrote Gehm’s. Took plants to cemetery. Set out glads there also. Jim and Laura’s birthday.

Cloudy and rainy. Merrill worked at Halls’. Howard and Evelyn’s 27th anniversary. I’ve felt punk all day. Marg and Roy’s house ad is in Times. Are asking $22,000.
