We went to hospital. Mom fine. Was up for first time. Sat in chair. Weather still bad in places but improving. Vern and June called in evening.

Communion Sunday, 55 out. We went to Sunday School and church. Went to hospital. Mom is just great. Had walked quite a bit.

I wrote Uncle Berl. We went to hospital all day. They moved Mom to room 433. They gave her unit of blood. I saw Dr. Myerdericks. Aunt Keitha real bad. Temperature 104°. Bonnie Hag in Mercy. Doris called. Got tax notice, $439.72 up $42.97. Snowy and slippery.

Aunt Keitha got to Mercy late. UMW Marguerites. I didn’t go. Don called. Snowing hard up there. Merrill got manure spreader going again. Cleaned barn. We didn’t go to hospital. Roggie’s and Eleanor planned to go.

Merrill finished work at Horton’s. We went to hospital to see Mom. Aunt Keitha in Mercy hospital. 4-H meeting, business. 11 members and 2 guests. Light snow at times.

We went to Sunday School and church. 85 out. A great sermon. we went to hospital in PM. Ken and eleanor there. Mom not as perky. Stitches hurt. Talked with Dilly and Evelyn.

Still cold but sun out. June and Vern called in morning. Everything closed in Oswego because of storm. Jim, Pat and kids here for lunch and supper. Blowing snow in evening. I called Mom in PM. She sounded good. Rev. David there.

Dr. Sommers, 2:15. David Johnson here in evening to fill out report. Brenda in hospital, dental work. Carl and Evelyn leave for Florida. Stormy south of here. we went to hospital. Aunt Maude went with us. Mom good. Nurses gave her flowers. Called Dilly, Aunt Keitha very weak. Percy Ball, 74 died of heart attack.

Took 19 pounds aluminum to recycle truck. Got $2.23. Went to see Aunt Keitha. Mom can go home first part of next week. Called Don’s. Katie Dewey showed me how to take care of Mom. We stopped at funeral home for Mr. Ball at Mills.

They had a bad fire at Theresa after midnight. Frederick’s funeral home, Kelly and Holts Maytag store. We went to Sunday School and church. We went to hospital in PM. Snowing at city and Adams way. Bad again. Mom talked with Aunt Keitha.

All schools closed for rest of week because of fuel shortage. Sent land taxes, $439.72. Merrill fixed water pipes at barn. Put shut off valve in cellar. Wrote Pauline. Snow in all 50 states.

IOOF installation at Theresa was postponed. County nurse called. Merrill and I went to Philadelphia to get permission to go get B-12 shot at Marilyn’s. Got mail and groceries. Sent letter to Ken’s. Merrill plowed out mail box. I took pictures of snow.
