Rebekah’s first meeting in the Mason’s Temple. 18 there. Seemed strange. Drawed 1 1/2 load of hay. Baler quit. Wore shorts today instead of a jacket to hay it. Beautiful day, 75°.

Had to go to Pulaski to see Dr. Sommers at 11:10. Had upper denture relined, $28. Merrill couldn’t get baler going. Pat B baled with his baler. Pastor-Parish meeting at CEC. All there but Mr. Sharpe, Mrs. Scott and Matt M. Merrill fell off wagon twice. Hurt arm and hip.

Merrill went to Frys for mower part, $2.50. Finance meeting, 8 PM. 7 there. I mowed some of lawn. Merrill finished it. Aunt Maude went to hospital twice by ambulance, Carthage. Wrote Marg.

Evening Bible Study starts. We went. 9 out. Very nice. Hal H. and 2 boys helped draw old hay off meadow. Paid them $9. Drawed 1 load of hay. Aunt Maude came home from Carthage hospital.

4-H here. 2 Food lessons. All here but Judi, Jennifer, and Lorraine. Two guests, Lisa Smith and Susan Gleason. Made fondue and cranberry crunch. Renewed Readers Digest with Jamie S. Merrill went to funeral home for Carlton Ronas. Mr. McNairn stopped for cleaner power head.

Ecumenical dinner. About 60 there. Catholics entertained us. All very nice. Nice day but cold. Merrill chopped grass for cows. Got new cleaner hose from Mr. McNairn, $28.

Lodge Book Audit at Marguerites. I didn’t’ go. We went to Bible Study. Got B-12 shot at Marilyn’s. Merrill went to CEC to fix dining room light. Ballast gone up.

4-H Talent show. We took Laura. Dawn and Alison rode out with us. Laura got blue award. She was very good. A beautiful day. Lynn started cutting grass but hay bind broke down. Got once around.

Power off from 6:30 – 7:15. Norma Gee here in PM. Another great day. Merrill chopped and mowed hay. Lynn’s hay bind quit again. Got twice around. Boots and I went for groceries. I met Mrs. Shew for first. He [Mr. Shew] is going to clean our furnace.

A beautiful day, 75°. We baled 3 load, 250 bales of second cutting hay across road. I was in shorts and Merrill had his shirt off like in August. UMW at CEC. I was on committee with Marilyn. Cookies and ice cream and strawberries.

Cooler today. We drawed almost 1 load of hay. I broke baler springs on rack. It was covered with hay so didn’t see it. 3100 bales in barn.

4-H Achievement Night, General Brown. 18 went from our club. Jamie, Hills and Linda didn’t go. We got several awards. Lorraine got special award. Home Environment. Laura named 4th place in talent. Merrill got hair cut. We went for groceries. Aunt Maude went to doctor’s again.

Got letter from Pauline Cornish. Vern’s left about 1:30. Nice day but windy and cold. Men here to look at cows from Adams and Potsdam. Mom called in evening. Uncle Lloyd in city hospital. He was in pain. Alarm clock quit. Vern’s got it for us in Massachusetts 9 years ago.
