Watched end of Olympics at Montreal on TV. Very beautiful. Russia first, Germany second, US third place. We went to church, 47 out. Rev. Cameron will be gone next 3 Sundays. We took Boots for a ride.

50° in morning. Cool all day but nice. Merrill and Mrs. Pancho cut brush at CEC. Merrill mowed all three lawns. Washed my hair and put color rinse on it. First time in months.

Sent $7.50 to Sheriff’s Circus Fund. 6 show tickets. Wrote Pauline Cornish. Wrote Vern’s. Washed. Made donuts. Merrill mowed hay by house. Nice today but cool. Furnace on. Patty called twice. Joel sick. They took him to the doctor and he has Reseal, measles.

Sent Cindy card, $1, and letter. Sent Gladys Adams, Evans Mills sympathy card. Baled 3 load hay. Muddy in one end of field. Patty and kids came out. She picked beans to freeze. Lisa, Angie and Tina here in evening. Pat and kids left about 8:45.

Rev. and Mrs. Cameron leave for vacation on 9:30 bus for [no entry made,?]. Vern’s called. Are bringing Dan the 11th. We baled hay by house. Got stuck in mud. Jeff helped us out. 1025 bales so far. Froze yellow beans. Got letter from Pauline Cornish.

Cindy’s 15th birthday. Sent $2 to Town and Country paper. We went to city. Got supply of needles and B-12. Got eye drops at Fays. Nice today but cold. Merrill mowed hay in PM by barn. Got Mom’s radio at Sears. Real nice. Clarence Shelmidine’s barn burned today. Rural Hill. He milks 175 cows.

Cloudy and rainy in PM and evening. We went to LaFargeville for rake parts. Stopped at Stone Mills Museum Craft Show. A huge crowd there. Froze green beans in evening. Washed my hair.

Harold Shepherd, 54, funeral. Merrill and Dan fixed window at Lodge Hall. I went for groceries. Got cleaner bags from Mr. McNairn, $8 for 30. Merrill and Dan cut wood.

Friday the 13th. Thunder storm in morning. Sent car insurance, $154. Rained about all day. Sent vegetable and fruit frozen order to Agway. Islanders group sings at Philadelphia at 7 PM. Ice cream social also. Community Days.

Philadelphia Community (Civic) Days. Rained in morning but cleared. Not many people out but a nice day and time. Church made and sold about 75 dozen donuts @1.25 and $1.50 raised. Merrill, Dan and I there from 9:30 to 4:30. Got letter from June. Washed my hair in evening. Peaches, Lapps, $7.25 bushel.

We went to church. Cheryl Horton had service. Community Days Church Service in CEC. Merrill had part in it. Father Vatraw had sermon but he didn’t come. We went to Sackets in PM to their Fair. Place packed. Stopped at Jim’s. Jolie and Dan wrote on open hay wagon. Marg, Roy, Beulah there.

A great day. Hot, 80°. I went after groceries. Merrill mowed hay. Rev. and Mrs. Cameron got home from Wyoming trip. Car wouldn’t start, so Merrill put charger on it.

Vern and June’s 16th anniversary. Got letters from Vern’s and boys. Merrill fixed mower. Mowed some hay. I started to take Rev. Cameron to city for his car but water pump not working right. Esther went. Washed clothes. Went to Big M for groceries.
