UMW at CEC. I didn’t go. Patty and Joel left for home today with Jim. Jill and Jolie will stay here awhile longer. I have cold. Wrote Vern’s. Sent Life Insurance. Merrill mowed lawns.

We went out to Mom’s for dinner. Merrill helped Don on his barn. Organ meeting at church. I went.

4-H here. Girls made pizza. Mary H, Isabelle H, Jolie, Jill, Tina B, and Cindy Rose guests. 20 in all. We went for groceries. Nice day. I have horrid cold.

Beautiful day. Merrill planted more of garden. Girls and I and Mrs. Cameron looked at stove. We bought it. Stopped at Mr. Balls about their half of it.

Jim, Patty and Joel came after Jolie and Jill. They have been here since May 4th. Jim and Patty planted cabbage and pepper plants. Washed girls clothes. I made girls black and white checked shirts alike. Merrill and Carl H got stove at Denny Allen’s for parsonage, $150.

Merrill finished planting garden. I started house cleaning. Living room. Got it all done. Dyed curtains. Hot but nice breeze today. Merrill put new float and cover in toilet upstairs.

Hot, 80°. No breeze. Merrill fixed plug in bedroom. Doris and Dougie here. She and Art plan to join church. I started cleaning bedroom. Got it all finished. Painted woodwork.

We went to city for stuff for milker. I got bags, 2 pair shoes, table cloth and bedspread. Got stuff for Cameron anniversary cake for Marilyn. Cost $12.65. Saw Jim on square. I had battery put in my watch. Cost $2.50. Old one lasted one and a half years.

I cleaned dining room walls and windows. Washed curtains. Boots and I went for groceries. Merrill helped Lynn on hay bind and wiring. Bad thunder and lightning storm in early evening.

Howard, Evelyn and Dawn here in evening. Cold all day. I called Mom. Aunt Maude called to say Loren called her last night to say Dash Strader, 91 died. Merrill mowed all three lawns. I cleaned rugs and varnished floor. Cleaned upstairs bathroom. Dyed rugs. Merrill put glass in bathroom window.

Sunday School picnic. Very nice. Good turnout. Sunday School pins given out at church. Dwayne Watson gave sermon. Dash Strader’s funeral at Brinston Ontario Church.

Hot and muggy with rain off and on all PM and evening. Thunder storm. Washed kitchen curtains and clothes. Merrill went to IOOF in evening. Merrill and Boots went to Lanphere for two planks to fix barn floor. Odd Fellows are going to give up Hall.

Mom’s 84th birthday. Boots and I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Got B-12 shot at Marilyn’s in evening. I served as juror, and foreman, at Antwerp, 7 PM. Jim Sands and George Carroll found not guilty. Got home at 12:30.

Hot, 85°. Merrill cultivated garden. I’ve been tired all day. Dawn was over. We put up new flag pole rope. Washed clothes.

Hot and muggy, 85° Rained in evening. I made cookies and donuts. Dyed bedspreads and rugs. Washed. Merrill worked in garden and cut weeds. He went to Rudes for hay rope in morning. Lois and Joe Lowry here in evening.

PNG’s outing. 16 PNG’s and Kay T. Went to Villa at Natural Bridge. Mary drove. Also Martha and Lois. Pouring rain all evening. Merrill picked 18 quarts of berries at Mary’s. Gave her $5.

Merrill and Jim mowed 2 lawns. Raining some. Jim’s here for supper. Joel weighs 18 pounds. Jill weighs 20 pounds.

Rebekah’s. Last meeting in IOOF Hall. 14 out. Merrill got withdrawal card from Rebekah’s. We voted to rent Mason’s Hall for $175. Oil spill in St. Lawrence River early this morning. Cleaned laundry room. Washed.

Hot and humid. Rained in evening and all night. I painted down stairs bathroom. Merrill put wall switch, like kitchen wall, on it. Merrill got hair cut. Twister winds at Lowville in PM.

Graduation. Jeff Hall and Vickie Haggerty graduated. Sent them each $3. Wrote June. Sent her $5. I dyed bathroom rugs and seat cover brown. I went for groceries after supper.

June’s 38th birthday. Howard helped Merrill bring home our heifer from Hales. I made 4 1/2 dozen small cup cakes for Cameron’s open house. Betty G decorated cake, 6 layer tier. I helped Marilyn at CEC in PM. Merrill tarred roof. Worked on garden some. Doris called to find out church time. Washed my hair.

Open House for Rev. and Mrs. Cameron at CEC, 2-4 PM, put on by both churches. Very good turnout and very nice. We went to church. Ate at Igloo then drove over to see Clara Wallace. She walks with walker but is good. I went to see Mrs. Beardsley in evening. Vern’s called. Are raising the boys rooms.

Thunder storm at 6:30 AM. Merrill mowed all three lawns. I washed and ironed white linen table cloth. Cleaned floors. Telephone man installed a new telephone downstairs. Bell went up on old one. It was 23 years old. Merrill went to IOOF meeting.

Glaucoma 6 years. Thunder storms in early morning. I took church money to Margaret. Got groceries. I asked Vera Rosbrook to help Margaret with treas. work. I called Rev. Cameron about it first. Merrill chopped grass in pasture for calves. Jim’s here for supper.
