Got home from Mower’s at 1:30 AM. Snowing. Pat B here. Invited us for dinner but we were too tired. Lazy day.

A beautiful day. Cold. We took down tree and decorations. Cleaned storeroom. We went to George Klocks, 83, wake in evening. Bill and Vi went with us. Saw Jim and Kenny.

4-H here. 7 members, 1 guest, Penny Hall. Nora gave Dawn and Alison sewing lesson. Linda did food quiz. Sent Ken card and letter. Got tax notice, $316.98, up $15.58. We went for groceries. Jim and Pat left Jolie here for weekend.

I’ve had head ache all day. Not much work done. Washed my hair. Also Jolie’s. Gave her bath. Merrill helped take down porch at Lodge Hall.

A beautiful day but cold. We took Jolie to church with us. She was real good. Rev. Skinner’s 3rd Sunday. 90 out. Jim and Pat came for Jolie about 6 PM. We went to evening church. Jim McEtherin spoke.

Ken’s birthday, 55th. Merrill put windows in parsonage bedroom. Margaret M was painting at parsonage. Vi was cleaning. She can’t help Wednesday. Washed rugs.

UMW at Vi’s. 13 out. Election of officers that we didn’t have in November. I’m president again as no one would take it. I went to Bible Study with Ruth and Carol and Adam.

Cleaned parsonage with Lois T, Hazel, Margaret, Joan Frazer. Helen Tooley and Ella Esker came from Mills to help. Frank, Judy, Mike and Laura left for Florida. Got letter from Aunt Keitha in Washington State. I didn’t go to Lodge. Too tired.

Dawn’s 9th birthday. Boots and I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Saw the Cameron’s at Post Office. Joyce called from city. Want to paper at parsonage tomorrow. Merrill went to Davis’ and Hall’s to get someone to butcher cow.

Joyce and I papered most of master bedroom at parsonage, 9-4 PM. Bill, Brenda and boys here in PM. I was at Philadelphia. Got nice letter from Uncle Berl and Lettie. Pat B. here.

Joyce and I finished papering parsonage bedroom. We also papered torn hall paper at CEC. A beautiful day. Like spring. Windy in AM. Rained toward evening. Merrill milked for Pat B. His Aunt died in New Jersey.

Rev. Skinner’s last Sunday with us. Here 4 Sundays. 89 out to church. Nora here to fit on pattern. Jim McEtherin’s last Sunday evening with us. Merrill didn’t get around in time to go as he milked at Pat’s again today. Nora went with me.

Lynn and Bob P butchered our beef. Cow fell on Merrill’s leg as they were loading her in Lynn’s truck. Jim, Pat and Jolie here. Jim took Merrill to emergency room for x-rays. No bones broken but a bad bruise. I cleaned house downstairs. Lyle Murphy milked at night. Jim Schell milked for Pat. B

Rev. and Mrs. Cameron move in. Got here in PM. Lyle Murphy milked morning and night and cleaned barn. Ruth Eggleston goes into hospital for knee operation. I took Lorraine to Philadelphia for groceries in PM. Paid Lyle $20.

Merrill did work alone today. His leg feels much better. We went to Theresa to bank and to Philadelphia. I stopped at parsonage. Got groceries. Merrill took baby yarn to Aunt Maude. Snowing some off and on. Oswego got 2 feet overnight.

Sent check to Sears, Agway and Murphy. Wrote Vern’s. Snowing. Ruth Eggleston has knee operation today. Defrosted freezer. Took about all day. Pat B. was over. Roads bad tonight.

Storming all day and windy. I baked pies, cake, cupcakes, cookies. Talked with Esther about getting Exchange Student for February UMW.

Doreen’s 18th birthday. Rev. Cameron’s first Sunday with us. A great sermon. 110 people in church. Merrill slept in PM. I wrote Ruth Eggleston at hospital.

Cut up beef at Payne’s. Lynn cut it up. Worked from 11 AM to 10 PM. Jim, Pat and Jolie got half of beef. A busy day but fun. Very cold most of day. Got letter from Vern’s.

I went to Bible study. Only 4 of us. Kind of lame from cutting up meat. Wrapped 80 pounds of ground beef in PM. Merrill paid Lynn $45 for cutting up meat.

I went to Lodge. DDP Von Pike and 4 others from Antwerp there. Very cold. Ethel Tousley, 51, died yesterday. Merrill worked at income tax.

Ethel Tousley’s funeral. I called Jean Livingston about auditing church books. She doesn’t want to do them this year. Merrill and Boots went to Philadelphia to pay phone bill and Murphy.

Frank Payne’s got home from Florida. Rainy day. Freezing some. I washed clothes. Washed my hair. Power was off for an hour in PM, 3-4 PM. Cleaned pipes and chimney.

Administrative Board meeting, CEC, 8 PM. 16 out to it. First one with Rev. Cameron. Very pleasant. Jim, Pat, and Jolie here for supper. They picked up sweater set at Aunt Maude’s. They had income tax done at Calcium. Boots got hurt on fence. Run Barb in leg.

B-12 shot at Marilyn’s. Bible Study. I took Carol and Adam. Merrill went to Philadelphia to measure parsonage windows. I went to Sina’s and Aunt Maude’s. Marva Blankenship got her divorce today.

UMW at CEC. Week of Prayer and Self Denial program, Marilyn. 13 out. I went to Bible Study. Got groceries for 4-H supper. Very cold all day. I took audit blanks to Marva.

Snowed some during night. Adult Health clinic at Philadelphia. Merrill and I went to it. Merrill had ears tested. Very good for his age. Got Mexican records at Library. First time I’ve been in library in years. It is so nice now.

I put up decorations for Mexican lesson. Filled piñata and put in doorway. Had flat tire on car fixed at Philadelphia. Snowed during night.

Welcome” covered dish for Cameron’s at CEC. About 135 to dinner. 134 to church. I didn’t get to church. Vi and I worked at CEC. Good turnout from Mills church. Nice day but cold in evening. Oswego got 5 feet of snow.

Trees covered with frost. We went to city. Merrill got voltage regulator for tractor at Talcott Falls, $15.25. I got new Harris Tweed coat, $40 and 3 blouses at Robert Halls. We stopped at Brenda and Bill’s.

Jane Keichel and Robert Mowatt III wedding. A very nice wedding and reception. Mrs. Riley, Diane, and Mrs. Hayden went with us. Married at Evans Mills and reception at the Philadelphia Legion. Sent farm census.

4-H free swim, 1-2 PM. All went but Hills and Jamie. Anne E drove also. We went to McDonalds afterwards. Merrill got motor for dump station washer at Bennett’s. Called Jim’s. We went to Sackets and got Jolie. Art and Doris Haggerty have baby boy, Douglas Lyle, 6 lb, 15 oz.

Jim called at 7 AM to say Jill Erin Tryon arrived at 5:05 AM, 6 lb, 10 oz. Pat went to hospital at midnight. Called Mom. She heard it on radio. Also heard Art and Doris Haggerty had son. Merrill went to Philadelphia for groceries. Made cookies and cake.
