Diary Entry for 12/19/1974

Packed shut-in boxes, 2:30. Packed 32. Vi had charge of it for me. Esther, Lois, Marg K, Mary M, Lula, Vi and I. Everyone helped deliver. Milk inspector here. Everything OK today. Nelson Rockefeller sworn in as 41st Vice President.

4-H party at Laura Paynes. A very nice party. All there but Jamie. Sent more cards with letters. Merrill and Boots went to Antwerp for dog license. Took clipper blades to Delles’ to be sharpened. I went to Philadelphia to deliver shut-in baskets.

Merrill went to Mills and Philadelphia. Got Agway check, $78.58 refund. Aunt Maude and Cheryl here in evening. Brought gifts. I made rolls and donuts and dipped chocolates. Merrill took UMW box to Michael Payne.

Rev. Stanley Skinner, Pulaski, preached today. 82 there. We went to city in PM. Finished Christmas shopping. We went to Sunday School program with Eggleston’s in evening. Very good and church full. Merrill got clipper blades at Delles, $1 for sharpening.

B-12 shot. I went to Marilyn’s and to store. Merrill went to Theresa for sand paper. Clippers don’t work. I baked pies. Washed clothes. Sent money to hospital for x-rays taken last February. Got bill in November.

We went to church. Rev. Skinner’s 2nd Sunday. 82 out. Cloudy but warm. Lisa was over to make out 4-H report. I sent years plan schedule in with it. We went to evening service. Jim McEtherin has flu so couldn’t come. Ruth, Ronnie and Carol went with us.

New Year’s Eve party at Vi’s. Water’s, Lowery’s, Simond’s, Eager’s and us there. Very nice time. Got home at 1:30. We went after paneling at White’s for parsonage, $141 in all. Snowed in evening.
