We went out home for dinner. Jim and Pat there also. 14 of us. Rained again in PM. We didn’t go to church. Talked with Eleanor on phone.

Exchange Collars at Antwerp by Evans Mills Lodge. Merrill and I mowed lawns. Merrill started work on barn. Power Company brought box for house. Jim and Pat here for supper. Gary, JoAnne and Laurie here in evening. I went to Jim Hanlon’s wake in evening. Terrible thunder storms.

WSCS Minnie Dyers. 14 present. No meeting during July and August. Jim Hanlon’s funeral at church 1 PM. Rain and thunder storms about all PM. Today would have been Uncle Ray’s 67th birthday.

Lanphere brought stuff for milk house. I went up to bank and Leah’s in AM. Merrill started putting in wall for milk house. I did ironing. Merrill went out collecting for church in evening Went to Bob E and Martin Rudes.

Club Banquet. 11 of us went to Roma’s at Gouverneur. We went bowling afterwards except Betty and Martha. Merrill went to city and ordered bulk tank at Bisnett’s. D-Day 25 year anniversary.

Dairyland Parade 10 AM. I mowed lawns. Electrician here working today. Bisnett sent floor plans for milk house. I went up to Philadelphia for groceries. Got graduation invitation from Donna Hall.

Martha Meeks 25th birthday. We went to Westons. Merrill got new work shoes $12.00. Got letter from June. Merrill put new front tire on tractor. Got one of Howard’s. Hall’s were here in evening to see wedding pictures. Beautiful day.

Philadelphia Rebekah’s 50th anniversary, long dresses. About 50 there. Cub scouts, Marie G, Heck’s, and Debby Shorkey entertained. Lyla and Marguerite gave history. Had cake and punch. Martha Pitts is DDP. Jim, Pat, and Gary here for lunch and supper. Merrill worked land.

Smorgasbord at church, Scalloped potatoes, turkey, ham and shortcake. I went. Made about $150. Very hot and humid. Merrill finally planted 6 acres of oats.

Hot and muggy. We mowed all the lawns. I got package from Spiegel. Free radio, underwear and sandals. I went up to Big M for groceries. Merrill got hair cut.

Flag day. Beautiful day. Had 4-H meeting here. Talked about starting a Boy’s 4-H club. Jim and Patty here for supper. Gave Dad 3 work shirts. Telephone not working. Repairman here. Electrician worked in PM. Washed, cleaned.

Father’s Day. Rained all night and all day. We went to church. C. Brown kids baptized, 4 of them. We went to Bargain Center and Fays. Got white shades for end of porch, charcoal lighter, and grille. I got bathing suit. $5.97. blue pokadot.

Donna Hall’s birthday. Sent Mom birthday card and letter. Merrill finished barn wall. We went to Mills. I took flowers for Dad’s grave. Merrill ordered 2 tractor tires, small. Got graduation invitation from Cathy Ayens. Electrician here.

I washed and waxed car. PN Grands outing 6:30 at Johnny’s. 20 Past Grands and Cheryl W went. Lois W came from city. Myrtle Duff died at 4 AM. Betty called for Merrill to be bearer and to drive for funeral. Toby, Karen, and Wade here for supper. Toby on vacation.

Rained during night. We started planting corn but planter broke down. We went to city for parts. Merrill got new electric razor at Century. Also got chairs and lounge. Rebekah’s had service for Myrtle Duff in evening at Theresa. Good turn out.

School closes. Cloudy. Got pictures back of wedding, shower, Vern’s etc. We went to city. Merrill went to Frys. I got driver’s license renewed. First time for eye test. Saw Ann Pacific. Got ends for porch canopy. We planted corn in PM. Jim and Pat here for supper. Indian River Central Graduation.

Nice day but rather cool. I finished lawns. Jeff helped with tractor mower. Electrician here all day. We planted more corn in PM. Still some to do. Washed. Merrill put ends in door canopy. Jeff stepped on nail. First day of summer.

We didn’t go to church. Planted rest of corn as more rain is predicted. Electrician worked in forenoon. We had picnic cook out at noon. Judy Garland died today.

Raining. Terrible rains all day. We went out to Mom’s and to Ken’s. Ken isn’t feeling good. Took Mom birthday gifts, 2 records, apron, candy, and donuts. Don’s had gone to Adams and took Eleanor’s shower stuff home. Jim and Pat drove to Rochester.

Hot and humid. Carlton Alton brought Elmer Gleason’s milk cooler down for us. Merrill used it in evening. Merrill worked on milk house. I mowed farther lawn in evening. Thunder storm in early evening. Lots of trees and wires down in other sections. 47 mile wind in city.

Vern, June, and boys got here in evening for weekend. Jim and Pat here in evening. Also Toby, Karen and Wade. Jim started working 12-8. Lynn Hall started taking rabies shots yesterday. One of Art’s cows has rabies.

Cold but nice day. Vern’s left at 10 AM. We went up to Aunt Maude’s for tractor and cultivator. Also bought emery $10. Cheryl brought cultivators down on truck as they were apart. They had picnic out doors. Cheryl made lasagna. Very cold in evening. We didn’t go to church.

Merrill worked all day getting cultivators on. Started cultivating corn finally. I washed and ironed. Did mending in evening. Cool day but sun out.

Donna Hall had shower for Sue Demeo. Jim and Pat here all PM and evening helping. They went to Mills for drain pipe. Art, Doris and kids here in evening. I bought 40 cards, animal set, and candle. $4.75 total.

Jim went to work at 12 PM. Merrill, Pat and I went to Ennis, Sears, and Browns. Merrill bought rake at Browns, $225. Pat, Jim, and I mowed two lower lawns. Merrill mowed first hay this year. Grace Tryon called. She has to go to hospital. Sent Jim’s cow to sale. Sold for $355.

We watched Apollo 11 moon shot on colored TV. Men put in rest of cement floor. Bob Lafave started drawing our milk today. Browns brought rake. Merrill used it in PM. Jim, Pat and I went to Crystal in PM. Jim and Pat went to Toby and Karen’s for supper.

Not as humid as yesterday. Pat went to city in PM. I drove tractor on baler for first this year. Cleaned house. Cut my hair. Great pictures from Apollo 11. Best even 205,000 miles from earth. Pat brought me a dozen red roses. Beautiful
