Beautiful warm day. 80°. Vi, Leah, Lois, Minnie, Diane, and I went to city and ordered nile green staff dresses. I ordered size 20. Esther there at store. Martha and Willabelle couldn’t go.

Kim Rude’s 3rd birthday. Sent her card. Sent mote to Mom. WSCS here. 17 present. Rained about all day. Have sore neck and headache.

Had headache about all day. Baked cookies and cake in evening. Washed and made salads for tomorrow. Got WSCS secretary’s book ready for new year. Merrill built fence.

Home demonstration at Ruth Eg. Election of officers. Sharon S chairman. Mary is Vice Chairman. Ruth is Secretary. I’m Treasurer. Vi and I went to city at 3 pm and got home at 9. Bought wardrobe. Jay Farrell has been killed in Viet Nam.

Wrote Jim. Merrill and I started papering at Lodge Hall. Norma here. I went to 4-H at Paynes in evening. I made reservations for home demonstration at C-Way Tourinn for May 25. at 7:00 pm.

Vicki’s wedding. We went. She was married in Antwerp Methodist Church. Reception at Town Hall. Toby was here in evening. He is looking at horses. C. Allen and L. Hall wedding. They went to Washington DC on honeymoon.

We went to church. Vi, Merrill and I papered at Lodge Hall for 3 hours in pm. Raining and cold. Snowing in evening.

Ground covered with 2 inches of snow. Merrill, Vi, Martha, Lois W and I finished papering Lodge Hall. Debbie was here to sew in evening. 8 inches of snow in city and other places.

Mother and Daughter banquet at 6:30. Millicent and Debby went with me. Rev. Spencer spoke. Merrill went to city. Got 2 tires at Sears. $51.17. Got lawn mower at Whites. Raining. Sent for wall paper. 5 rolls for guest room. $4.50

Jay Farrels funeral. 25 killed in Viet Nam. Brought wardrobe. Wrote Jim. Sent mother’s cards. Wrote Vern’s. I went to Theresa bank and Pearls. Closed out home demonstration account. I went to Rebekahs.

Raining all day. Merrill worked at Lodge Hall. He and Carrol Ward started sanding floor. Ironed. I have cold in sinus’s.

I went to city for groceries. Merrill worked at Lodge Hall. Sharon and Debbie here to sew in evening. Merrill worked at hall in evening also. They have floor about sanded. Ironed.

Merrill mowed all of lawns for first. Look nice. I planted flower seeds and dahlias. Called Mom. Cold and windy.

Mother’s day. Daniel Vernon Tryon baptized at Minetto Methodist Church. Mom went with us. Gehms there also. Had dinner at Dubois Hotel. Mom came home with us.

Past Grands at Elsie’s. I didn’t go. Mom and I went shopping all day. I took her home and stayed all night. Juanita, Brenda, Dave, and I went to city for evening looking for rugs.

I got home at noon. Stopped in city and got Brenda’s rugs and Juanita’s (stamps) tree lamp. Merrill worked at lodge. I took Lula, Elsie, Edith, & Myrtle, to Interboard Meeting at First Methodist Church in city.

We went to Vernon’s. Men got pond fence up. Got card from Esther T. (Rebekah assembly in Rochester) Vi went to Buffalo. Martha is worse.

Wrote Jim. Sent card to Will Clarke. Merrill and I papered guest bedroom. Sharon and Debby here to sew in evening.

Raining. Merrill and I went to city for groceries. Got gold draperies for guest bedroom. 4-H at Norma’s. Had pajama party here. Debby, Sharon, Joan, and Cathy. Toby here in evening.

Armed Forces Day. Graham girls went home at 9:30. Debbie at 2:00 & Sharon at 4:15. Toby got his horse, “Wendy” from Pat E and brought her here. Mary, Marilyn, & Loraine here in pm. Martha M is in hospital.

We went to church. Children’s Day. Hutchinson’s are at conference. Toby spent all night here. Was here for supper also. We went out to Mom’s after church. Took Juanita’s lamp and Brenda’s rugs. Nice day.

Don Gehm birthday. Johnny Mattingly wounded in Viet Nam May 19. Turned cows out for first day. Hay gone. Latest ever. Cold and wet. Called C Hall. Merrill went to lodge but no meeting. Toby here. Washed and ironed.

Wrote Jim and Vern’s. washed rugs for first. I mowed center lawn. I went to 4-H at Norma’s to work on float. Toby here in evening. Turned cows out at night for first.

No frost last night. First time in ages. I went to lodge. Losers fed winners. Hall looks so nice. Wrote Vi. Baked pies, donuts, cookies. Merrill fitted ground.

Home demonstration Banquet at C-Way Tourinn. 11 of us went. 6 bowled at Clayton. I went with Mary. Merrill went to trustee meeting at church. Toby here in evening.

I went to see for groceries. Also stopped at shop to see Jennie Hayes about 4-H. Dot Charlton very bad. Debbie here in evening to sew. Got letter from Jim.

Received my DDP warrant in mail. Worked on 4-H float. Toby here. Walkathon for new city arena made $40,000. Emma Farnham 72 died today.

June, Vern and boys here for dinner and supper. Toby and Karen here in evening also. 4-H kids finished float.

No school today. I took 4-H club to Olga Mill. Boys didn’t go. Mowed all of lawns in evening. Toby here. He couldn’t get up to horse in pasture. Wallace Flemming 62 died today.

I took flowers to Dad’s grave in morning. White frost last night. Stopped at parade and memorial service at Philadelphia. Wesley Graham sewed oats for us. 12 acres. Merrill fitted corn ground.

Wrote Jim. Sent for full girdle to N.B.Hess. Merrill washed car. I received letter telling our 4-H will be 5th in line on Central Street. PNG’s went to Margie’s. 18 went. Went to Wallace Flemming’s wake.
