Beautiful warm day. 80°. Vi, Leah, Lois, Minnie, Diane, and I went to city and ordered nile green staff dresses. I ordered size 20. Esther there at store. Martha and Willabelle couldn’t go.

Kim Rude’s 3rd birthday. Sent her card. Sent mote to Mom. WSCS here. 17 present. Rained about all day. Have sore neck and headache.

Had headache about all day. Baked cookies and cake in evening. Washed and made salads for tomorrow. Got WSCS secretary’s book ready for new year. Merrill built fence.

Home demonstration at Ruth Eg. Election of officers. Sharon S chairman. Mary is Vice Chairman. Ruth is Secretary. I’m Treasurer. Vi and I went to city at 3 pm and got home at 9. Bought wardrobe. Jay Farrell has been killed in Viet Nam.

Vicki’s wedding. We went. She was married in Antwerp Methodist Church. Reception at Town Hall. Toby was here in evening. He is looking at horses. C. Allen and L. Hall wedding. They went to Washington DC on honeymoon.

Ground covered with 2 inches of snow. Merrill, Vi, Martha, Lois W and I finished papering Lodge Hall. Debbie was here to sew in evening. 8 inches of snow in city and other places.

Mother’s day. Daniel Vernon Tryon baptized at Minetto Methodist Church. Mom went with us. Gehms there also. Had dinner at Dubois Hotel. Mom came home with us.

Past Grands at Elsie’s. I didn’t go. Mom and I went shopping all day. I took her home and stayed all night. Juanita, Brenda, Dave, and I went to city for evening looking for rugs.

I got home at noon. Stopped in city and got Brenda’s rugs and Juanita’s (stamps) tree lamp. Merrill worked at lodge. I took Lula, Elsie, Edith, & Myrtle, to Interboard Meeting at First Methodist Church in city.

Armed Forces Day. Graham girls went home at 9:30. Debbie at 2:00 & Sharon at 4:15. Toby got his horse, “Wendy” from Pat E and brought her here. Mary, Marilyn, & Loraine here in pm. Martha M is in hospital.

We went to church. Children’s Day. Hutchinson’s are at conference. Toby spent all night here. Was here for supper also. We went out to Mom’s after church. Took Juanita’s lamp and Brenda’s rugs. Nice day.

Don Gehm birthday. Johnny Mattingly wounded in Viet Nam May 19. Turned cows out for first day. Hay gone. Latest ever. Cold and wet. Called C Hall. Merrill went to lodge but no meeting. Toby here. Washed and ironed.

Received my DDP warrant in mail. Worked on 4-H float. Toby here. Walkathon for new city arena made $40,000. Emma Farnham 72 died today.

No school today. I took 4-H club to Olga Mill. Boys didn’t go. Mowed all of lawns in evening. Toby here. He couldn’t get up to horse in pasture. Wallace Flemming 62 died today.

I took flowers to Dad’s grave in morning. White frost last night. Stopped at parade and memorial service at Philadelphia. Wesley Graham sewed oats for us. 12 acres. Merrill fitted corn ground.
