Foggy in morning. Snowing some. Merrill started for here [Oswego]but turned around at Sandy Creek because of snow. June’s father called.

Nice day. Merrill came to Vern’s for dinner. I came home with him. Was there 9 days. Washed my hair in evening.

We went to church. Lazy day. Wrote Uncle Berl. Had a letter while I was in Oswego. Dot and cat have disappeared. We got card dated Feb. 20 from her at Santa Ana. Scees have visited Uncle Berl.

Wrote Uncle Berl. Sent in jury questions. Got letter from Jim. Merrill got 50 piece glass set at Theresa Bank. Martha, Vi and I went to city. Sent orders to Spiegel for dress.

Started painting cupboards. Called Vern’s in evening. All are fine. I went to WSCS at Addie & Edith’s. Got note from Fran S. Dot Charlton has cancer. Sent package to Oswego.

Rebekahs. I went. Painted kitchen cupboards. Wrote note to Fran.

Painted 2nd coat on inside of cupboards. Lee Hall was here to put new burner on my stove. $15.00. Washed my hair in evening.

Wrote Jim. I went to city shopping. Got Merrill rubber boots at Kenny’s. $6.00 I put dishes in new cupboards. Called Mom. Ordered top at Sears. I went to 4-H at Norma’s. Real warm.

Wrote Uncle Berl and Sent him late birthday card. Howard was over. Waxed kitchen floor. Lewis Fortin 80 died today.

Girl Scout Sunday. Church was full. Open house in PM. We went up to Aunt Cora’s in PM. Colder

I have had a headache all day. Washed and baked cookies and meat loaf. Merrill went to Agway at Mills. Got new stanchion, rain coat, and garbage can. I went to Dawn Keichels’ to hear exchange student from Panama. Merrill went to Lodge. No meeting.

Made rolls and vegetable soup. Wrote Vern. Got letter from Jim. Betty G. had heart operation in Rochester today. Martha B. called.

Party at Grange for George and Marg Waters. We went. Nice time. Mostly Grangers. Snowing in evening. Called Dr. Kennedy for eye appointment.

Home demonstration here. 9 women, 5 kids. sharon gave rug lesson. Sent in 2 films. Wrote Melba and Roberta. Phone not working in PM.

Roberta’s 15th birthday. Many farmers are dumping milk in milk strike.Cold. Kids called. Are well. Kenny and Brenda Rudes have son Jeffrey Patrick, almost 7 pounds.

4-H demonstration day at Lafargeville school. Cold. Below zero last night. Got letter from June and Uncle Berl. Got letter saying phone direct dialing starts Easter Sunday.

Palm sunday. Still cold. We went to church. Was full. Hall baby baptized. Mary’s grandson.

Wrote Jim. Send card to Branda and Kenny. Got orchid 3 piece dress from Spiegel. I went to city. Got 1 year size suit for Jeffrey Rudes.

Sent Easter cards. Wrote Jim. Vern’s and Betty Gutierrez in Rochester hospital. Got Easter card from PNG secret pal. Painted cupboards. Washed my hair.

Merrill’s birthday. Had strawberry shortcake and chicken. Gave Merrill 2 pair wool socks, white shirt and utility case. He got several cards. Kids called in evening. Merrill laid plywood floor for Schells. I went to Rebekahs.

Merrill got hair cut. Sears repairman here to fix washer. Wouldn’t spin. $57.00. Washed and cleaned oven, dusted. Got letter from Jim and Eleanor.

I was sick all day with heartache. Roy and Marg were here for supper. Called Kens. Wrote Jim.

Eleanor’s birthday. We went to Vernon’s for dinner. don and Bea Gehm were there also. Danny has rash on face. 

Philadelphia phone goes direct dialing at 2 AM. Juanita’s birthday. Easter Sunday. I went to Easter cantata at 7 AM. We went to church. Organ quit. We went to Kens for dinner. Went up after mom on way.

Past Grands at Esther Taylors. 14 present. I went to city for groceries. Rainy. Washed. Wrote Jim.

Merrill went with Howard to get snow blade at Brazie Corners. Eleanor came in evening with beef. 188 pounds @ .58 cut up. We wrapped it. Merrill washed car.

Eleanor left about 11:30 am. Merrill went with Howard to help him get his bulk tank at Adams. Beautiful spring day.
