Appointment with Dr. Roberts at 3:30. I’m improving but slow. Gave me nose drops and capsules. Man here from farm extension to plan feeding program. Wrote Kens.

Ken’s birthday. 47 years old. Wrote kids. cold 0 degrees in morning only 7 degrees all day. Merrill got set of Hanson Milk scales at Briggs, $10.00.

Roads slippery. We went to church. Debby and Evelyn went with us. I feel better finally. Sinus condition much better from drops.

We went out to Moms today. First time since Thanksgiving. Had our Christmas. Dons ate at moms too. Nice day. Got thank you card from Jr. and Charlotte Hale.

We went to church. Merrill had a meeting after church about organ. We went to McCormick’s for smorgasbord with Taylors. Washed and cut my hair in evening.

Past Grands at Diane’s. Addie and I on committee. 18 present. Had rolls and chicken salad and cookies. Merrill went to Lodge. Got car oiled and greased after lodge.

Farm congress opens for 3 days. Windy and stormy. Moved desk and files to back room. Cleaned closets.

Cold. 10° below at 8 AM. Cold all day. We went to city. Dairy Congress at Armory. Ordered dish and washer at Sears. Saw Dorothy and Arlene Barker. Oren has been in hospital two weeks. Very bad.

Doreen’s 10th birthday. Wrote Jim. Home demonstration at Mary Halls. 9 members present. 4 kids. Sharon gave lighting 1. Lamfere brought lumber for cupboards. Merrill made wood screen for each room.

Merrill started shelf back of washer and dryer. Washed my hair. Snowy. Called Vern’s in evening.

We went to city. Went to hospital to see Oren Barker. He is very low. All his kids there. Also Dots. We went over to Halls in evening to play cards.

We went to Vern & June’s for dinner. Took Steve spreader for his tractor. Nice day.

Warm, rainy and foggy. Merrill finished back of washer and dryer. Made pumpkin pies. Merrill took one to Lodge. Installation. Theresa installs them. Supper afterwards. Sent cow to Lowville. Cold.

Wrote mother Tryon and Uncle Berl. We went to Gouverneur. Got short pipe on muffler. $9.00. Beautiful day. Like spring. Got letter from Jim. He has sold his car.

Oren Barker died at 2:00 pm. Sent tapes to Jim. Mom called. I went to city for groceries. Did dry cleaning for first time at Seaway. Got curtains for back room. $1.50. Had headache. Made bank deposit.

Windy and freezing rain. Very slippery with glare ice. Merrill made rest of cupboard for over refrigerator. Ironed.

Got cupboard up. Finished ironing. Snowy. Called Vern in evening about Oren’s funeral. Stormy in Oswego. Sent Anniversary card to Reynolds.

Oren Barker’s funeral at Adams. (Piddocks) Burial at Sandy Creek in spring. Stormy out that way but not bad here. We went. Gave Ken’s Christmas gifts. Didn’t get to church in evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Reynold’s 50th anniversary. Wrote Vern’s. Merrill made other cupboard. IOOF canceled.

3 astronauts funerals. I went to city. Appointment with Dr. Roberts. My throat is okay. Very snowy coming home. Merrill worked at cupboards.

4-H club to shop at city for sewing materials 7:00-9:00. Wrote Jim. Rev. Hutchinson here for lunch. Made out report. Lee Hall here to see about dish washer wiring.

Sent income tax. $201.83. Made 6 pies and 6 dozen cookies. I went to World Day of Prayer service in evening. About 40 there. Wrote Jim and sent Valentines.

Milk meeting at 1:30 pm. Got 3 pound butter. Cleaned house. Wrote Steve and sent his valentine. Jim got back income tax. $90.58

20 below 0 last night. Has been below zero all day. We went to church. Boy Scout Sunday. Hall kids went with us. Wrote June and Vern

A very stormy day. Schools closed. Terrible wind. Howard Hall sent milk to plant for first. Merrill put doors on cupboards. Home demonstration at Martha’s canceled. Philadelphia Town Hall burned at 4:30.

Sent Good Housekeeping magazine for June, 1 year. Wrote Jim and Vern’s. Went to Philadelphia and Theresa. Got hair cut. 4-H at Grahams but I didn’t go. Started sewing. Cold in evening.

Sharon Sinclair’s birthday. Still cold. Washed my hair. Cleaned. Martha Carr and Ronald Stanford married at Brownsville Methodist Church.

We went to church. Jr. Choir sang. Cold only 10 degrees above all day.
