Got groceries in evening. Vern took last day of class.

I feel punk today. Slept all forenoon. Took car to Gouverneur to get oil changed & lights fixed. Vern sold 2nd set of books.

Hank Schell’s barn burned about 2:00 PM. We went out home for dinner. Got 32 quarts of berries. Vern went to Rochester.

Quite cool. Washed & ironed all day. Vern called from Rochester to say he’d be home tomorrow.

Still cold. Had furnace fire in evening. Rose D. & Charles Miller stated riding for 2 weeks. Vern got home from Rochester.

Still cold. Boys went to city in AM.

Cool. Men drawed hay. Vern was over to Clara & Glen Wallace’s.

Rained again. Carolyn Seeley started riding again. She works at model homes. Vern went to city in evening.

Waxed kitchen floor. Washed. Men baled & drawed hay.

Grand day. We all went to 4-H picnic at Camp Wabasso. 40 present.

Three men were killed in blast in mine at Gouverneur this PM. Wrote Uncle Berle. Sent pictures.

School board meeting. We didn’t go. Jim & Marty went to Theresa in evening.

Very warm. Fran & I walked to Globe at noon looking for bathing suits.

Vern is working at Farrell’s for rest of week.

Lillian Hale Champine is sick with pneumonia & kidney infection. Got groceries at Seaway.

Swell day. Linda Taturra was here all day. Merrill mowed hay all day. Jim took her to city in evening. Had parachute jumps on camp. 82nd airborne from Fort Bragg.

Rainy. We went for ride to Bay & Morristown. Mom called. Vern called June. Jim went to Theresa in evening.

Mrs. Ann (Cassier) Alton died yesterday. Rained in evening. Washed & ironed.

Got letter from Uncle Berle. Merrill & I went up to Hank Schell’s. Also to Carrie & Millard’s. Got my hair done at Harriet’s.

Rained some. Quite cool. Mrs. Alton’s funeral.

Got Jim 2 pair pants & shirt at Wilbur’s. Got strap beige shoes. Merrill finished mowing hay for this year.

Raining. Vern & Jim went to Rochester at noon. Vern & June had blood tests. Boys got measured for tux’s. Got home at 12:45. I went to Gouverneur in evening.

I went to city for dress etc. for wedding. (Manson’s) Jim & Marty & girls went to city.

Merrill finished baling hay for this year. Howard & Evelyn went picking cherries. Wrote Don’s letter. Talked with Marguerite Beach about Past Grands.

R. Foley broke his leg yesterday. Very hot. Finished cotton dress.

Finished haying today. Very hot & humid. Vern got car fixed at Cross. Wheels lined up etc. $25.00. Got white bulky sweater.

Cooler & cloudy. Washed my hair. Washed rugs.

Cleaned & washed. Got groceries in evening. Jim went to city to see Linda.

June came on 7:30 bus. I had Past Grands here. Marguerite helped me. 9 present. Jim stayed all night with Marty.

Merrill took truck to Gouverneur. June & I went after him. Jim, June, Merrill, & I, went out home. June & Vern went to Jan & Larry’s cottage in evening.

Kind of cool June went home on bus at 5:00. Jim went swimming.
