Got letter from Grandmother of little girl in Washington,D.C. Wrote Vernon. Waxed kitchen floor.

Jim is 5 feet 10 inches tall. 135 pounds. I went to vote after work. Merrill voted in PM. Washed. Lilian Hale Shampine has baby boy.

Rainy. Jim & I went to Theresa in evening for groceries. Merrill worked at Alton’s.

Very warm. Got blue car coat at Pennys. $14.95. Wrote Vern. Got letter from Mom.

Rainy & colder in PM. Rose D. got through riding today. Merrill finished at Alton’s. Jim & Marty went to dance at Theresa.

Jim & I went to last football game. cCleaned & washed. We went out home in evening. Took just 50 minutes on new 81 road. David Congdon called at 12:30 to say Dad Tryon is in hospital.

Lynn was here. Men got part of young stock. Washed my hair. Have felt horrid all day.

Beulah Hall went to hospital with kidney trouble. I went to Joanne Rappole’s to guild meeting.

Nice day. Merrill worked at Art Hall’s. Stopped at Johnnie’s on way home for fruit.

No school. I went to lodge.

Elmer called to say Dad Tryon is in Lyons, NY hospital.

Elmer called in evening. He wants us to come down tomorrow.

Merrill & I went to Lyons hospital to see Dad Tryon. He isn’t very good. Jim did chores. Talked with June.

We took Jim & Marty to show. Merrill & I went to Uncle Len’s. Washed in evening.

Washed my hair. Had twin calves born today. First we have ever had. Took car to Gouverneur. Generator burned out. $26.00.

Some of us from Olga went up to Lorraine in evening to see Virginia. Swell time. Snowing up there.

Snowing & very slippery. Jim & I went to Theresa. Jim got hair cut. Merrill worked at Schell’s.

14 inches of snow in city. Very slippery. Lots of cars in ditch. Elmer called. Dad Tryon not very good. Got letter from Vernon.

Still slippery in morning. Fran gave me olives, cookies, & pickles. Merrill gave me jewelry set for birthday.

Merrill & Aunt Cora went to Wolcott. Had Past Grands here. Leah & I had birthday cake for Elsie, Lois, & I. Got apron from Uncle Berle. Thelma took Past Noble Grand degree.

Merrill called. His father died at 5:45 AM. Talked with Aunt Maude. Mae, D.Gilson, & girlfriend are there. Merrill got home at 4:30. Juanita & Don had girl at 6 AM. Deborah Fay. 8 pounds,1 ounce.

Merrill & I went to Rodman to Aunt Lila Tiffs. I stopped to see Edna Knapp. Got my hair done. Stopped at new Seaway Shop Center.

Dad Tryon’s funeral. Buried at Rodman. Beautiful flowers. Rained all day. We had supper at Aunt Cora’s.

I worked today for first this week. Called Mother Tryon at noon at Felts Mills. Stormy. Mary O’B & I went to see Juanita.

Thanksgiving. We didn’t do anything special. Waxed kitchen & bathroom floor. Ironed. Cold but nice.

Stormy. Rainy. I got two front teeth filled. $5.00. Sent in pledge to eye bank.

Jim & I went to Felts Mills for Mother Tryon. Very icy

Cold. Elmer & Melba came after Mother Tryon. Aunt Cora & Uncle Charles here also. Had turkey dinner.

Very stormy all day. Got to work. Got letter from Dot Tolcott.
