Didn’t go to church. Washed. Everett Strader called me from Uncle Ray’s. Had been to Little Joes. George Peterson has sold farm & bought house at Prescott.

Nice day. Sent camera to Vernon at Palmyra. Dot Sharkey started riding with me. Merrill went to lodge.

Vi & I had Past Grands at Vi’s. 13 present. Rained terrible all PM & evening.

Nice day. Jim Schell killed “Bullet”, Howard’s dog. Run over him with car.

Seven of us went to Howard’s for lunch for Frances’ 32 birthday. Snowed some. Got notice Vernon is on Dean’s list. 5th time.

Took car to Gouverneur. They finally found leak. Have to take it Monday. Our milk didn’t go today. 6th day. Strike.

Marg Williams, her mother, daughter, & boy, were in bad accident. Churned butter. 7 pounds.

Merrill took car to Gouverneur to have spark plug put in. Drove 52 Chevrolet home. I went to work with Nellie.

Kind of cold today. Took Fran pint of cream. Made butter.

Mr. & Mrs. C. (Vera) Rosbrook have baby boy. Wrote Uncle Berle. Sent him birthday card. Got letter from Vern. Jim went to Theresa to donkey basketball game.

Got letter from Juanita. Snowing in PM. Went to Sears & Johnnies at noon. Merrill went to auction at Rodman with Howard.

Snowed hard in PM & evening. Nellie is sick. Didn’t go to work.Got income tax refund of $221.75.

Have one foot of snow. Power off 7 hours in AM. Jim & I went to dentist. He had 2 filled. I had 3 filled & all cleaned.

Uncle Berle’s birthday. We went out home for dinner. Doreen is so cute.

Wrote Vernon. Merrill went to lodge.

Got letter from Melba. Melba & Elmer have baby girl. Charlotte Bule born today.

Bill Mower’s mother died this morning.

I went to Past Grands at Myrtle Duff’s. Merrill went up to committee meeting on Hall. Had flat tire on way home in Philadelphia.

We went to city in PM. Got paint. Ordered 2 doors for kitchen. Howard & Evelyn have new puppy. Dot Allen had tumor operation.

Roberta’s 5th birthday. Washed & ironed. Gave myself a Prom.

Freddie Aynes barn burned to the ground. Howard Allen Farm. Their third fire in 3 years.

Snow flurries today. I brought home Bessie Hogan’s chairs for Merrill to repair.

Snowy & rainy. Sent Dot Allen & Marge Williams get well cards.

Merrill & I went to Philadelphia for first polio shots.

Got letter from Vern. Got picture of Elmer & Melba’s new baby girl, Charlotte, born March 12th. Had Leah make Merrill cake.

We went to Palmyra to see Vernon. Stopped at Merrill’s folks. Dad Tryon isn’t very good. Beautiful day. Drove about 300 miles. Vernon goes to Utica to practice teach April 6th.

We went to church. Tired today. Lazy day.

Colder. Wrote Vernon & Elmer. Merrill went to lodge. Merrill worked at Barker’s. Frogs are hollering tonight.

Bill Mower’s 41st birthday. Merrill worked on kitchen. Had vet for Jim’s horse “Dolly”. She has cancer.

Initiation at Rebekah’s. Merrill & I went. 79 present. I had charge of dining room.

Lynn Hall shot “Dolly”, Jimmy’s horse. She had cancer. Merrill went to lodge at Redwood. I wrote Mom.

Nice day but rained at Mills on way home. Cleaned dresser drawers in evening. Paid $6.00 in Mary’s club.

Cleaned our bedroom. Painted woodwork. We went to Theresa. Jim went to 4-H at Atcheson’s.

Leslie Tryon & friend Grace were here for dinner. Painted bedroom floors.

Merrill went to lodge. Redwood lodge put on 1st degree on 2 candidates.

Got letter from Melba. Elmer is going to take Vern to Utica. Wrote Vern. Davie’s 3rd birthday.

Kind of cold today. Went to Sears at noon. Bought new aluminum combination door & also canopy. Got letter from Mom. Sears brought 2 kitchen doors.

Merrill went to Redwood to lodge. He went with Louie.

Very rainy. I took Jim & Norton girls to Theresa to a play & dance. Got 2 door sets for kitchen. $8.27. No riders home. Past Noble Grands but I didn’t go.

Raining. wrote Merrill’s father. Started boy’s room.

Lazy day. Didn’t go to church. Painted new door in kitchen.

Mother & Dad Tryon’s 51st anniversary. Sears brought door canopy. Merrill went to lodge. Shoes came from Spiegel.

I started sewing on rickrack. [at work] Very slow work. 500 dozen. I went to Theresa & had tooth filled in evening. $4.00.

Dad’s birthday. I didn’t go to lodge. Sears brought combination door & wall board for kitchen. Got letter from Vernon from Utica.
