Nice day. Took car to Gouverneur to have it greased. Have to take it back next Saturday. Got 2 rear wheels. We went to Theresa. Merrill & Jim got hair cuts.

We went out home for dinner. Rained all night. Lula & Beulah called.

Merrill worked at Lonie’s. Window isn’t at Whites yet. Lula rode home with me. She is on jury.

Exchanged lodge collars at Mills. Beulah gave us pink & green doilies. Got card from Eleanor. Wrote Vernon.

Kind of cool today. Baked cake.

Installing staff supper at Beulah Hall’s. Nice supper & good time but had terrible storm when we got ready to leave.

Lots of wind damage last night.

I went to Gouverneur in morning. Merrill finished at Rappole’s. Jim spent AM at Philadelphia. Went to Theresa in evening. I worked at lodge cafeteria supper in evening.

We went to city park for picnic with Ken’s. Pauline & Garmon & kids came in PM. Beautiful day.

Merrill put on door for C. Allen’s. Merrill joined NYABC today. $15.00 to join & $6.00 fee. Gave myself Stanley permanent.

Got letter from Vernon. Hot & muggy. Went to ice cream W.S.C.S. social at church. Merrill finished planting corn. Got letter from Vernon.

I have cold. Elmer Buker not very good. Maude Drake has lung cancer. Wrote Vernon.

Feel punk with cold. didn’t go to lodge. Past Grands night.

Eight of us went to Pete’s for Judy Odett’s birthday. Hot today. Merrill worked at Bechard’s.

Swell today. Mary Hall & girls were here. Merrill worked at Bechard’s.

Swell day. Had picnic in yard.

Very hot. Went down to Sears at noon.

Another very hot day. Started to Crystal Lake in evening but came home because of storm. Sent for wallpaper & badminton set.

Sure seems good to have it cooler.

I went with Past Noble Grands to McCormick’s at Clayton. Wonderful dinner & time. 16 went. Went to Geneva’s cottage.

Got fire works from Dot Irish. Washed in evening. Jim washed car. Merrill didn’t work at Bechard’s. Cultivated corn. Jim didn’t pass 8th grade.

Jim & I went to Utica after Vernon. Merrill cultivated corn. Jim went to 4-H at David Rudes. They went to Crystal Lake swimming.

Merrill, Jim, & I, went to VFW doings at Crystal Lake. Huge crowd. (horseshoes, boat races, beauty contest) Had radishes from garden.

Got 1 1/2 crates of strawberries. $5.75 a crate. Vernon started helping Merrill at Bechard’s. They put in new phone. Changed to 2 rings. Got wallpaper for dining room.

Rained. Merrill & Vernon worked at Bechard’s.

Last lodge meeting for summer but I didn’t go. Too hot. Ironed in evening.

Very warm. I went with Rebekah’s to Buker’s. Jim went to Bechard’s with men. Wrote Mom.

Quite muggy. Terrible wind in evening. Jim went swimming with Howard. Merrill finished at Bechard’s. Merrill went with IOOF to Buker’s.

Elmer Buker’s funeral. Terrible windy day. Merrill, Jim, & I went to Gouverneur. Tree blew across road on Route 11.

We all went to church.
