Jim & I went to Crystal in morning. Merrill, Jim, & I drove up to Uncle Len’s but they weren’t home. Stopped at Art & Doris’

Vi, Myrtle, & I, went to city in morning to see about staff dresses. Mine was big. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur in PM. Stopped at Gladys Lamson’s. Got crate of berries at Johnies. $5.35.

Swell day. Washed clothes. Cleaned. Merrill cultivated corn for first. Vern picked wild berries for supper.

We all went to Adventure Town in PM. First time. Jim had a grand time. Vern didn’t have to work.

Got 1954 Green Chevrolet from Seaker & Graves. Hilyard Seaker brought it over. Had furnace fire in evening. Raining.

Rainy & cold. Wrote Gerow about insurance. Wrote Mrs. Caird. Marty Rudes spent night with Jim. We went to Starlight Drive In.

Baked cookies. Finished ironing. Got letter from Mom. Marty went home in AM.

Warm today. We went to horse show on new school site sponsored by firemen. Mr. & Mrs. Bennett were here awhile when we got home. Vernon worked today.

Back to work. Girls all rode except Caroline who is on vacation. First day with 1954 car.

We went down town at noon. Put money in bank for Vernon.

Wrote Mom.

Washed clothes in evening. Worked in garden.

Rained again. Donna paid me for week’s ride in advance. $2.50. Friday the 13th.

Elmer, Melba, Freddie, & Charlene came on vacation. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. Got new plaid skirt at Theresa.

We went to Alexandria Bay, Clayton, Etc. Vernon worked all day at Howard’s. Aunt Esther called for Mom. Charlene started walking.

We all went out home in evening to see Uncle Berle. He starts for home tomorrow. Elmer’s went to the park. Jim went to city.

Beulah Hall’s birthday. Quite nice today but cool in evening. Mailed Beulah a Secret Pal gift.

Elmer & Jim went fishing. Got two nice perch. Freddie was sick in evening. They all went swimming at Crystal. Elmer picked peas & I froze them.

Elmer, Melba, kids, & Jim, went to Adventure Town & took trip around islands. Swell day.

Elmer, Melba & kids left today. Rainy today.

Raining. Nine Past Noble Grands went to Flossie White’s at Woodville. Also Marguerite B. Nice time. I drove. Also froze peas.

Swell day. Merrill, Jim, & I, went to Crystal Lake in PM. Washed & did some ironing.

I had horrid headache in PM & evening. Went to bed soon as I got home. Men did work.

7 Troopers stopped traffic for check up on way home. Washed clothes. Feel better today. Froze peas.

Thunder storms in morning. Merrill went to Philadelphia & Mills with Lynn. Sent Don birthday card.

Don’s 33rd birthday. Nice day. Talked with Aunt Keitha at noon.

Paid Ann P. balance for $1.00 a week club. She sent my order Monday. Quite warm. Nice in evening also.

Went to Gouverneur but car radio hasn’t come yet. Froze beans & beets. Got sun dress at Kaplan’s. Got Merrill & Jim sport shirts.

Quite cool all day. Washed car. Didn’t go to church. No visitors.

Sure cold this morning. 44° degrees. Beulah called.

Still quite cool. I went down town at noon to see about formal at Globe. Paid Sears. Got letter from Melba & Elmer.
